Lovely view over estuary. Friendly efficient staff. Amazing food- had wonderful mussels to start and beautifully cooked lamb for main (slightly spoiled by too much mint sauce in gravy!). Great prices and value for money

Nice open space. Lovely view. Drinks were very reasonable. Liked the atmosphere outside. I think the tables could have been cleared quicker, and the tables needed a bit of work since they were splintery. Generally good pub.

Really easy to check in for track & Trace, clear one way systems, plenty of hand gel... Food and drink was as expected and the service was excellent. It was great to be able to sit outside and look over the estuary. Would definitely recommend.

Recomended to visit this pub..travelled half an hour to have lunch here .Arrived at 1.30 to be told they had stopped serving food !!, couldn't cope ..it wasn't even that busy ?? the board outside states food is served til * 2.30* never have we visited anywhere to be told food is longer being served as they can't cope and it's to hot to cook ! will not visit again!! We visited for a light lunch , a sandwich and drink in the garden, which I have to add was quite tatty and unkempt ! Wouldn't even thought to book ,it wasn't a three course meal
Went on and had a lovely meal in the garden at the Oysterbed Whitstable .

Very rude to my parents, and menu needed a rewrite. Had to go with my third choice. My food was inedible, as smothering lemon sole in salt not only destroys the delicate flavour but made it leathery. Was not made aware that it would be cooked this way, and would not have chosen it as I avoid salt because it's bad for lymphoedema. What went down did not stay down, AVOID

Staff were made aware of my dissatisfaction at the time, and were dismissive

Disappointed. Tried two real ales, both lifeless and flat. Dog mess on the decked area, pointed it out to the staff and she reacted as if that was where they keep it, and it was still there half an hour later when we left.

A nice pub with friendly staff. On our recent visit we sat in the garden which has some excellent views of the sea and you can see part of the River Swale and The Isle of Sheppey in the distance.

Lovely place infection control is high on the list. I liked the not having personal menus but they would bring the board so you could pick your choice. We had steak and peppercorns I think that was the best prepared steak I have had. Steve the owner was very welcoming and sent us over deserts even though we said no!

Rose in Bloom,Joy lane,Whitstable. What a lovely old Whitstable pub this is. Ample car parking, and fabulous views, and has very friendly well trained staff. The pub has so much local history built in. The food served here is second to none, and of the highest quality, plus a wide range of wines and spirits and of course beer. You will enjoy your time here.
