I don't play golf but had heard from a few friends that the food was quite divine. My friends were wrong. I ordered a soft pouched egg and was given a hard boiled egg! The view, however is beautiful. Not even the man who had soiled himself in a nearby hole or the woman who had literally dropped dead whilst taking a swing in a faraway hole could ruin the calm serene of the Banyule parklands.
Great course. Miss the pool tables and Rod Harper on the heavies.
Beautiful course and club house in a gorgeous location. If only i could play more golf!
Great coarse but pretty hard bunkers I guess it helps if you don't hit them in there. Proffesional facilities great friendly club
I am currently in the process of choosing my home course between Rosanna Golf Club and Eastern Golf Club. Visited RGC and I felt extremely welcomed by Marcelle who handles membership here. I have tried using their practice range several times and will be playing a round this weekend. But service and responsiveness of this club has been top notch so far. Spoke to a few existing members at the range and at the club and they were all so warm and friendly. Pros and cons of RGC:
Pros:
1. 15 minutes drive from home. Hence I can quickly go for a 9 hole round after work.
2. Only 30 mins drive from Melbourne city so friends are more likely to come out and play together.
3. Members are extremely social and overall good vibe.
4. Already have couple people I know who are members here. Good place to know the local community.
Cons:
1. Greens are not what I expect from a private club. Not bad but need some improvement.
2. Not in the top 100 ranking in Australia. Eastern Golf Club is ranked in #47 and #67.
3. Short driving range - max 7 iron which would be problematic as I like to practice on the range.
4. Slightly more pricey - Joining fee of $1500 and annual membership of $3200 vs Eastern Golf - Joining fee $1000 and annual membership of $2500
5. There is $8 fee for every club competition vs no fee at Eastern Golf.
Below is a view from their range. I will make my final decision in the next couple weeks but I would highly recommend this club.
A Magnificent Golf course complemented by outstanding hospitality.
Good old Rosanna golf club!
Good private golf course situated in Melbourne . If your looking for a nice , well kept and challenging golf course . I highly recommend this.
Check it out and They also have a generous size dining room.
The people are so friendly so helpful. The course is in great shape too.
Great course in beautiful surroundings. Very friendly staff.
Best clay belt course in Melbourne. The new dam does wonders for the course and is definitely going to become the no.1 yarra course very soon. Get in quick before the waiting list explodes.
Well organised, great course... unless one finds a tree!
Nice views and really nice walk. Seems like a prestigious place to have a party in the main building.
Very nice enjoyable place to have a nible and drinks.
ProShop staff members Luke & Marcus were super helpful! Great day
Thanks guys! Course is really good!
Outstanding course, excellent service, terrific pro shop & club house, great people. Well worth a visit.
Great p lace for events. Staff are very accommodating, decent food
Fantastic facilities. Course has a good balanced layout with some decent length. Greens were a bit average, but overall an enjoyable track
Excellent venue. Large dining area and a well stocked bar. Very well cooled on a hot summer day. Hard to find down the back streets, and not actually in Rosanna.
