Unacceptable service! I have been in the ER waiting room with my daughter for over two hours. (She has severe pain in the abdomen.) She has yet to be seen by a triage nurse! I have sat in ER waiting areas quite a few times with my children but never one that hasn't even sent a triage nurse to assess the issue to see if she was critical or not.
Their billing department would be a textbook embarrassment to anyone's accounting department. I've been there several times and though the service has always been fine it seems they get off on seeing how many bills and over how long a period they can send them. On my last visit I received 7 bills (for two appointments all on the same account number) thus far and has been about three months... others tell me I'm lucky if I don't get at least one more bill in 6 months.
Worst experience of my life! The doctors to not listen to their patients. They do not seem to understand chronic pain or any other type of chronic illness. They resist prescribing medications to manage chronic pain and won't even prescribe an antibiotic for an issue that has been going on for two months now. Seeing a different doctor there will not get you any results, because they are afraid to override the initial doctors decision. I am currently trying to find a different doctor/clinic and hospital. If possible, stay away from this place!!!!!!!!!
***Update: Last week I seen a third doctor there and finally got help! I want to thank her so much! I am finally feeling so much better! :-)
I honestly havent had a good experience here ever. I'm to the point of switching to a different hospital and I live 5 minutes away from here. For example my worst experience was when I went in because my skin itched and they couldn't figure out the problem for 3 months and actually never did because I had to go to a dermatologist to figure out the problem. The last visit to Cambridge before the dermatologist they told me the scratchiness was all In my head. It was scabies that I got from a friend at the time. And yet I still have scars on my legs because I would wake up and have itched my legs to the point of bleeding most of these nights. This hasn't been the only case of "the doctors" don't know what they are doing. I've seen them mis schedule appointments for a very elderly woman "my girlfriend's grandmother" 3 different times in a row after she dislocated her shoulder. This lady if you saw her today is one of the happiest people I know, she is always smiling. Yet she was in tons of pain because the staff here couldn't figure out communication. I've had so many problems here and seen so many problems here that I wouldn't trust my kids to this hospital.
There is a good team of doctors and nurses there. When you need to be seen or for any special needs, lab ,xray,speciality doctors they get you in quick. Also work well with any care plan needed for you . Close to home and convenient ,they have Emergency services and pharmacy there as well as many other programs,check with information desk or online for more info
I wouldn't even give it one star worst experience of my life! I heard nurses talking about me while I was waiting in waiting room which is not acceptable! Also there was a scheduling conflict but not my fault they didn't contact me until the day before my appointment and I didn't get messages until I was done with work at 6 and they were closed! As I'm sitting in waiting right now hearing the nurses talk about me I want to break down and cry. Horrible horrible horrible. Don't go here they don't care! I have never ever felt so unwelcomed!

Awful experience with Occupational Health. After going to a specialist in a different area I learned I had two seperated ribs and that if they had given me an MRI (which the doctor at Cambridge told me I didn't need and refused to give me) they would have been able to fix them in a month instead I've been out of work for about 3. Rude staff that refuses to listen all except the incredibly helpful receptionist. Doctors here would rather have you go to physical therapy a billion times then find out what the actual problem is and treat it. This whole I wasn't given any pain killers except IB profen.
On time per schedule, nice friendly providers and support staff
In the past, this hospital wasn't too bad. But the last visit we went to was a two hour wait, way past our daughter's bedtime. We went in for a fussy baby and there were not only people coming in after us being seen first, but the staff wasn't helpful. My first visit to this hospital wasn't a bad visit, so I'm conflicted whether to come back or not in the future.
Always thorough and basic specialties are on location five days a week. Labs are open early morning, nights, and weekends. They have actual pediatrician s, allergists, ob/gyns. The check in kind of isn't great and takes awhile to stand in line but the billing is nice as its all on one account and not per visit an per family. There
We have been patients since 2001. When we moved from the area in 2007 we switched to a clinic closer to our own home only to return to CMC within a year. Over the course of 14 years I have delivered two children at CMC with Susan Hovinen - best care ever!! Labor and delivery is amazing! (Delivered my first baby at North and they didn't come close to the level of care!!) Dr. Lowell Becker has been an amazing pediatrician. If Dr. B isn't available Sue Morrow and Dr.Filetti are more than dependable. Dr Greg Andrle has been a fantastic primary care physician for both myself & my husband. Susan Hovinen is top notch for physicals & women's health.
Through the years we've experienced injuries, surgeries, and emergency room visits. The continuity of care is exemplary. We have only had one clinician leave the clinic in all of these years. Our family cannot say enough good things about CMC.
Registration could be improved but the care is really all that matters!!

This clinic does not care about you, I guarantee it. In the past year they have done absolutely nothing to help me or treat me. Earlier this year, I went to the ER because I was experiencing a very excruciating migraine. The doctor there told me to go on a diet and drink more water and left it at that. I was basically told I was fat, dehydrated, and left untreated. A few days later I went back to the ER but at Fairview. While there, they gave me a shot to relieve the migraine, administered a pill to help with the nausea, and the doctor there ordered a CT scan. The people at Fairview were more sympathetic to my problem and proactive at figuring out what is going on with me. In all my years of going to Allina, I have never felt compassion like this. Because my doctor left at Fairview, I decided to see my previous doctor at Alina. My attempts to have my prescription refilled has been unsuccessful even though I have been on this medication for several months. I have been going through this issue but usually with Fairview, and within a day or two, I get my medication. Allina has never tried to help me or treat me. It has been one false diagnosis after another and multiple attempts to treat whatever ailment I m experiencing left untreated. I am tired of their careless practices and it must stop. I have spent exhausting days if not weeks making phone calls and emails to them to get medications refilled, and during that time, my health declines. By the time I get my medication, I am starting over, and I get sick from taking such a high dosage after days of not taking it. I will be seeking a lawyer for medical malpractice.
My father was getting very sick so he went to the doctor to make sure everything was fine, the doctors here told him he had bronchitis and everything will be fine. A few nights later the ambulance had to come get him and we found out he had cancer. He could ve died because of the horrible doctors here. We ve also heard similar stories from this hospital from friends of ours. Please don t come to this hospital if you think your health is in danger.
Have had issues with failure to be called with positive test results, then finding out much later they were positive. :-(
A hospital, clinic and pharmacy in one building. All three are great places with great staff members.
I have asthma, I came in with an asthma attack. The ER doctor INSISTED that I had an air bubble in my lungs that could cause immediate death if not treated, I pushed and said no its asthma. She dismissed me and they did a bunch of tests and scans that all totaled up to me having an asthma attack. I am now paying over 4,000 dollars for these medical tests I didnt want and proved that I was right in the first place.
If I could give it 0 stars I would, tried reaching out for help to schedule therapy and psychiatrist appointments and the lady hung up on me

I think Cambridge Medical Center has some of the worst nurses. They are RUDE and don't communicate with other nurses. One nurse calls and says one thing and soon after another nurse calls back saying the opposite of what the first nurse said. They are alaways in a hurry to get you out the door. The lady Jennifer (who handles complains) she's just as bad. She don't care about helping you, She's there for her pay check and that's all.
We are still waiting for x-ray and it has been 2 hours.

$2500 (with insurance) for my son to visit ER with nurses elbow. They even used a student P.A and less then 5 minutes of doctors time. So what do you charge people without insurance !?
I had an appointment scheduled for 11:40. I arrived 10 minutes early anticipating some paperwork. After I checked in I went upstairs and the nurses said I needed to be there at 11:20 and that I needed to reschedule. I drove 40 min to be turned down because they gave me wrong information. I will not be rescheduling.
Cambridge medical center emergency department is one of the best I've seen a lot better than any fairviews. The emergency staff is great and very honest and knowledgeable
If I could give a rating of zero I would. This is by far the worst medical facility I have ever been to, even the VA is miles ahead in terms of patient care. Save yourself the headache and go to Fairview.
I would give them a better rating except for the fact that each time I've taken my daughter in the doctors are complete idiots. 3 months ago 4 pounds lighter my daughter was underweight and now she's fat. I recommend taking your kids somewhere else
Wound clinic, occ health, physical therapy departments all top notch great staff all around. Much better experience heat than other locations like Fairview.
I was there for 9 days. Spent my time in 1East. I loved the staff and so did 90% of the patients who went there and shared the importance of the staff. They are a cohesive unit, always there for us, always ready to help. They are always pleasant and get along with each other. I have sent out more than 15,000 W2's as an employer, so I know teams and you could put them anywhere. If I had to add anything bad so you know this is legit, I did NOT like the medical doctor for the wing (Male) seemed like an automaton reading spreadsheets. Did not seem to me to care about any personal thoughts, beliefs or extenuating circumstances, but I am only one patient with about 3 interactions with him
Just was a patient in Cardiac Services last week for my first ever stress test. The staff was awesome. I never doubted their skills and expertise. They made me feel like I was the only patient there, saw that I was comfortable and safe, and followed through with the steps related to this procedure skillfully. Thank you, Cardiac Services and hospital Registration Desk personnel!
Currently waiting in a clinic exam room now for 25 minutes to see a doctor. Not impressed!
Absolutly horrible ER visit. Wife was in cronic ear pain and brought her in to the ER. Took 5 min to go through the intake and into an exam room.. did not see one doctor or nurse for a little over an hour! All the while the wife is in horrible pain. Im not sure they know what the meanning of EMERGENCY is.. and to top it all off the best they did for her was asprin and a prescription of ammoxicillian.... 15 hours later.. yep still in pain.

Rude lab techs, I literally dread going in for my monthly blood draw, even with an appt I wait & wait while everyone else who just got there goes in, then when I finally get called, they are so rude & plain mean.
Loved CMC for the birth of our first child in September. My OB/GYN and the entire L&D staff are amazing! Would definitely recommend.

The nurses were rude. the wait time was unbelievably long. I will never come back or recommend this hospital to anyone.
My daughter had a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy and the next day had fevers and a rash on her face and legs. I got to the ER and was told that she would have to go into the red zone waiting area and then into a Covid room because she had a fever and a sore throat (of course would have this after having her tonsils out the day before). I informed the nurse my daughter s immunity was lower after surgery and that I have an immune disorder making me a high risk patient for Covid and did not want to enter the Red zone and a covid room. The nurse replied with you use the same restrooms as patient s that may have Covid too. Then called the Charge nurse who said to sit in the car and a nurse would call when ready. Another nurse called and said, we are ready for her. I asked if she was being put in a Covid room and was informed yes. I voiced my concerns to that nurse and said, my daughter s symptoms are from her tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy surgery she just had yesterday here at the Cambridge Medical Center with Dr. Reddin not from Covid. I said if you wipe the room down again and don t bring us through the red zone then maybe. The nurse became very rude and irritated and said, We have people that clean the rooms and you can wipe it down but I won t because it s already done. I said, we won t be coming in. I was very upset and cried on the way home for how we were treated. I then went to Mora Welia Health and my daughter did not get put into a Red Zone or get put into a covid room for her symptoms. I have been a nurse for 15 years and that is not how a nurse should act towards their patients. Time to find some nurses with better attitudes and better bedside manner who actually care about their patients and listen. Would give 0 stars if that was a choice.
I have never went to a same day clinic and waiting and hour and a half to be seen, I'm still waiting here with my son and I called and made an appointment for 5pm but yet we r still waiting it will be the last time we come here so tempted to walk out at this point...
Don't expect professional results from Maternity clinic. Neglected to file our FMLA paperwork which will ultimately result in me missing the birth of my child. The nurse and doctor both explained the paperwork would be faxed and after 2 weeks it was still not done. Called the clinic and they informed us that company policy didn't allow for faxing such documents and it had been a policy for 2 years! Ok so that means the doctor and nurse both don't even know the company's policies, meaning to me they don't know their jobs! Unprofessional to say the least, considering what is on the line. I for one want to be there for my wife during labor. I guess it's not a Core value of Cambridge Medical Center to keep families comfortable and happy during such a stressful time. It's unfortunate there isn't another hospital within driving distance to choose from.
Never met such cold hearted people in my life. Was wheeled into the ER with spinal issues. Was told there was nothing they could do and sent me on my way.
Do I have to post even 1 star?? Another (and last!) Awful experience at this place. Spent 3 hours in the ER with a blown eardrum and within the 3 hours couldn't get anyone to stop in quick and look in my ear! They swabbed my throat in tiage but never even got results after 2 hours! My nurse "Chuck" was of NO help and NEVER in 2 hours returned to the room after saying they were "caught up"and should be "quick"I was NOT asking for pain relief but only some antibiotics!! Thank God I had my own pain medication that I had taken before I left because I was in horrible pain and no one there seemed to give a damn. If you want good patient care DO NOT come HERE!! I drive an hour away to Elkridge in Elk River normally but thought I would give Cambridge a try...Haha!...NEVER AGAIN!!
Some nurses are very good, some I have found rude. Some doctors are very good some are not. Non of the doctors give pain meds. that I have seen. I had a new ankle joint replacement and it did not work, after a second surgery it still didn't work correctly, it never will. Pain 24/7. No pain meds. It cost 300.00 to see the pain control doctor which our ins. does not cover. I say put all of the addicts in prison, let them kill each for their dope or do without, so we normal people can go back to using pain meds. without signing papers and giving UA's. I'm a social worker, 65 yrs. old and I'll be damned if I'm going to be treated like an addict and my taxes are paying for addicts treatment usually more then 1x. So I'm in pain and do without the medicine. I'm normal, addicts are abnormal. I've worked with them for many years. They always get their meds. because they buy them on the street and we get nothing. You people (public/doctors) have this problem all wrong you enable the drug addicts. I've seen you do it.

Had my baby here recently and during hospital tour they made it sound so wonderful and that I wouldnt even have to have my baby leave my side at all. Within an hour or 2 of my daughters birth I had a pushy nurse harassing me to take my baby to another room for a bath.I didnt even want her bathed in the first place.Finally after several times of telling her no she told me i should get in the tub and then She would bring my baby to me. I agreed to get her off my case. I got in the tub and she did something to my baby who was still in the other room to make her scream and never brought her to me!! I had to stumble into the tub myself and out myself which was not easy whatsoever after having an epidural. Thats not okay!! I should have been assisted but this woman just couldnt wait for some sick reason to get my new baby and I seperated from eachother .She also used an alcohol wipe on her cord stump an out dated practice. There is so much more to this story. Not mention the bath water greasy and brown/orange.. Just dont birth here!!! This place needs an investigation and the pants sued off them And hopefully that will happen soon!

Super disappointed in the ER. I thought I would give this place a chance just because of their poor rating and reviews. Unfortunately, I would have to agree with all the other poor review comments on here. The ER doctor was not very friendly, but the nurse and staffs were. Took about an hour before the ER doc came in. Then about another hour before we even met the nurse. 3-4 long hour wait and not one person came back to give me any updates on any labs or medications for my daughter (7 month old). (Yes, I did press the call light.)
perfect hospital they where real friendly and took care of me while i was there i fell of a semi trailer on my back and broke it at 3 places they kept me for a while and arranged all transport to get me back in canada

I only go here because it is nearby. If i had the chance at a better place i would. In my experience they rarely make enough time to answer your questions and concerns during visit and rush you. I had my first surgery here too and I will never forget the traumas that i went through here from the nursing staff and others. One of things was i was stabbed in my hand with a butterfly needle without being let known of that it was going to happen. (in which it was also before my surgery so it made me more tense and afraid and nervous also i am terrified of needles in my hand and thought that the poke in my hand was the anesthesia being administered so i was even more nervous and afraid cause they hadnt finished going through the surgery process. i also asked what the stabbing feeling was and the person who did it said "nothing"and acted as if it didn't happen possible his way of thinking itd help me but it made it worse. i was told that before i was to be discharged from surgery recovery that theyd get my pain lowered to around a 3 and that theyd do whatever they could to help me be comfortable but that didnt happen, and when i woke from anesthesia (from them forcing me to wake up) they wouldnt let me rest, my pain was at a 10/10 and remained. The nurses forced me out of bed immediately with barely any help of getting me up, so i had just had my insides torn and cut into in my abdomen and they said they couldnt lift me or theyd hurt themselves so my mom had to try and help me and she is physically disabled. needless to say, i wanted to sue for all ive listed so far, and for whats to come.. once i finally got up out of bed with mostly my moms help and my own forcing myself to get up with hysterical cries of pain and agony, i could barely walk, i went to the bathroom and the nurse was rushing me and trying to force my clothes on while i was going to the bathroom so that they could rush me out when i was still trying to go to the bathroom. i had peed and asked the nurse to help me wipe because i couldnt bend over at all and reach without extreme pain and feeling like i would tear my stitches and she wouldnt and said i could do it myself. these are some of the things that had happened to me including them refusing to let me stay longer for pain management. i left the hospital with 10/10 pain. when i went home i couldnt feed myself or do anything and pain was unbearable. i only come to this clinic if i have to because other places are far. i have missed a lot of appointments for fear of more future bad experiences with my health care.
I have had hernia surgery and 1 other surgery at Cambridge plus 2 hip replacements and my left shoulder repaired... my surgeon for my hips and shoulders was Dr.Doohen who is over the top, the best, he is a very caring doctor for his patients. I always recommend him to anyone who is going to have these kinds of surgery.. the nursing staff are great..I have always received EXCELLENT care while I was there and the after care as well ,was great.. I can not say enough about these people and hats off to doctor Doohen...God Bless you all..
