I have lived at an apartment in Fairmount owned by The Regis Group for a year and a half (Sept 2017 - April 2019). I really enjoyed my experience with this company. They have an online portal to make rent easy to manage (you can set up automatic payments) and to make maintenance requests. The maintenance guy, Miguel, is very communicative and very friendly and was able to fix anything that came up. I would absolutely rent from this group again and would recommend it to friends - my friend actually took my unit after I moved out! If any issues come up during the move out process I will update but I am confident it will be a smooth transition because that is what they have demonstrated throughout my stay.

They stopped responding and ghosted a showing that they chose the date and time for, the day before, and I accommodated in the middle of the workday. Friend mentioned this happened to her twice by the same company. Absolutely ridiculous behavior, sounds like a nightmare of a company to rent from. Glad I learned before it was too late.
I have been touring several of the properties with Claire and have been so impressed by the service. I ve lived in Philadelphia for five years now, though I have never had a better experience than this one with the Regis Group. I m hoping to find the perfect place with them, which I can see becoming a reality from the company s commitment to its customers, its properties, and its staff.
very unprofessional leasing agent. I went to see an apartment at 340 n 12th street for corporate leasing. after speaking with the leasing agent and getting him the info he asked for he just stopped responding. very very unprofessional. great building horrible employees. would not recommend.
The Regis Group is an extremely reputable property management company. They have some of the most unique apartments available in today's market. The staff is friendly and reliable. 5 stars overall.
I am a former tenant in one of the Regis Group s properties. I have never felt compelled to leave a review for a property management company until living in one of their buildings.
They were virtually unresponsive and cut corners anywhere they could. We had multiple work order requests that remained open for 2+ months. One request in particular was for functional lighting in the living area that took 12 weeks to resolve. I guess this is better than the work requests that were flat out ignored. I suppose it s not surprising considering the building has had 78 open violations with the City s Licenses & Inspections Department in the last couple years.
Management also attempted to pull a fast one by taking out extra money when returning our security deposit for utilities. This is confounding considering that tenants pay utilities through Energy Management Systems, not the Regis Group. We are not the only former tenants who have had this exact thing happen.
I lived in a Regis Group apartment a couple years ago. I've never felt more uncomfortable moving in to an apartment. I had emailed the Regis Group, asking questions about move-in, to which I received short responses, some in all caps, making me feel as though I was bothering him. I had received no information about move-in prior to my email (which I sent 2 weeks before move-in). Gary is not a friendly person at all. I am not sure why he thinks he can handle a customer-facing position.
The day before move-in, Gary asked what time do I plan on moving in. Even though I told him 10am, the apartment was not ready when I arrived. I had family come meet me to help me move in. Meanwhile, maintenance was cleaning and painting, delaying the move-in. The Regis Group does not have a good system for move-ins and move-outs.
I submitted maintenance requests on the tenant portal soon after move-in. It took almost a month for them to address the requests (one request pertained to my broken mailbox, and the other was for the shower not working properly). There was black mold underneath the sink too. Maintenance removed the wooden board that had the black mold and put in a new one.
Throughout my year living at this property, I would come home and randomly find dirt tracked through the apartment, or something moved around in my unit. The Regis Group never informed me when someone was entering my unit. This made me feel uneasy and I knew I would not be renewing my lease.
The worst part of all of this was when the Regis Group was showing my apartment to possible tenants. I came home one day to find one of the employees showing two applicants around my apartment. I was given no notice. My girlfriend was getting dressed at the time and luckily heard them walk in, but she was scared, as she did not know why there were strangers downstairs. Gary never apologized for his mistake for this.
All in all, this was the only landlord I've ever encountered these problems with. The apartment was not ready for me when I moved in. Maintenance issues took months to get resolved. Workers would enter my apartment without giving notice. Please do not rent from the Regis Group if these concerns would bother you as well.
The Regis Group are a great company full of employees that are beyond loyal. They are responsive and provide good value in each of their products. Any problems are quickly hashed out by their crew.
