Good location, excellent breakfast menu. Service so so...

Comfortable and luxurious room but the lighting will need to improve

Staying here made me feel like Austin Powers in the shaggadelic 70s baby :)

This hotel is so dirty, so infested with mosquitoes, so rundown, that I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The stuff are bored and tired and couldn't care less, and repeated requests to clean or treat the place for mosquitoes, leave you being treated like you are a difficult nag. To top it off, I came back one day to my room and found a smashed soap dispenser on the shower floor, and they without my consent and fraudulently charged my credit card $20 for it. Their are plenty of nice waterfront hotels in Phnom Penh. Take your pick can stay elsewhere.

Rooms were a bit on the small size, but it was grand as so central. Staff very helpful.

Great little hotel. The suites are really big and have river view. All the modern amenities, good breakfast and excellent location next to all the restaurants and bars.

Went for a rooftop sunset drink. Buy 2 & get one free on red wine $10 + buy one get one free on cocktails $5 which were very good.

Only had some drinks on the rooftop bar in the evening. they have a great view over the river and the quay. Also a happy hour until 8pm (1+1 free)

Book the Room 15. Big layout with nice bathroom and an absolute small terrace with an stunning view towards the River Boulevard.

Cosy design with friendly staff. hearty breakfast and the location is simply the best, fronting the river new many watering holes

BEDBUGS!

This is more of a PSA than anything else and some details are kinda gross so be warned.

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Quay Boutique hotel November 2017 - booked via American Express online. The hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel by US standards -- more so a 2.5 star hotel based on its condition, decor, lack of amenities, and the story to come...

Upon check-in, we were shown to a deluxe room that had no windows so we paid $30 a night for an upgrade to a top floor room that had a nice view. The problems began after...

The room was filled with mosquitos which we spent about an hour killing and after that we left the hotel to get lunch. When we returned, I was suspect on the bug situation so looked around and to my dismay found bedbugs all over the ceiling of the hotel (photo of one big one shown below).

The hotel had no cleaning staff so literally the bartender from downstairs was sent up to our room to handle our complaint (photo shown). I ended up killing one of the bed bugs to verify and it was filled with human blood. Clearly the bedbugs were feeding, and clearly they were all around the bed areas.

Given the circumstances, we immediately checked out of the hotel (around 5:30pm) and ended up staying at another hotel in Phnom Penh.

The most frustrating part of this was that the hotel refused to provide a refund for 3 night stay when we checked out a few hours after check-in. Not even a refund on night 2 and 3. American Express disputed this for us based on our evidence but they refused to budge. They felt so bad for us that they provided a $75 travel voucher for future bookings.

So definitely keep this in mind if you're booking and make sure to check your bed and surrounding areas very carefully if you are staying here.

We were on vacation and it took a few nights to get over this creepy feeling.

One of the best Hotels on the River Side in Phonm Phen

Great location. Good breakfast. The river facing rooms are a delight.

The first thing you notice when you walk into this place is how dark it is and no one is around. No one is at the front desk, And no one appears to be at the bar on the left. But once you walk over to the desk you see someone crunching behind the bar playing on her phone, who doesn't even make eye contact or say hello. She simply walks into the back room to get someone to come to the front desk. The guy who comes out looks so bored and pissed off to be working there that it sets the tone for a stay at this place. It's pretty miserable. The furniture is scratched up, worn down and pretty dirty. There are mosquitoes everywhere and any request for assistance is met with a person with a huge chip on their shoulder. Particularly the night manager who I noticed is very rude to women. He is tolerable towards men. The women he does not seem to like.

STRICTLY AVOID!!!
- Wanted extra blanket and pillow, got pillow but instead of blanket was given a bed sheet. Apparently that's the best they can do
- My wife ordered vegetable sprint roll and multiple times reiterated that she wants veg and no meat. The waitress reconfirmed and finally served one with pork inside. When we pointed it out, staff behavior was like whats the big deal. It is for somebody who doesn't strictly doesn't eat pork. The cook just walked away as if nothing happened. We stayed 2 nights on the 3rd floor. The room was clean, neat and comfortable. We also received a handwritten note from manager Soeimom welcoming our stay.
The breakfast was good and delicious. We tried the hot chocolate, croissant, Quay Signature breakfast, and the beef kwayteow soup.

Soeimom was friendly and always smiling. She is a good manager. Thank you for making our stay a pleasant one!

The best place to stay during the Water Festival. Faces the Mekong river where the boat races takes place. Enjoy the wonderful colorfully lighted and decorated boats at night. One boat anchored right in front of our room the night we stayed. Awesome sight!

Excellent hotel with huge amounts of space it's more like an apartment. Excellent view accross the river too!

A nice business hotel.. rooms are spacious and offer a good view of the riverside, albiet a little old. Staff are polite and helpful too.

River Mekong View from this hotel deluxe rooms is awesome. Breakfast is good. Walk score is zero. One can walk to Royal palace or national museum or take a tuktuk. But in Cambodia one has to be very careful about his mobiles or other personal belongings.

Large rooms but with minimal maintenance. The design furniture at the time are now beaten and scratched.

Can only comment on the restaurant/bar on the top floor. We received very good service. Food was above average but not amazing, nothing wrong with it. Had quite a few cocktails which tasted great but weren't very strong. Happy hour prices make it sweeter. But its a great setting, and a great place to look over the riverside as the sun goes down and night comes on. Really nice view
Brought our children once, no problems. Waitresses played with them during quiet service times.

I spent a night with my co-worker in this hotel when we visited Phnom Pehn. The main point of this property is staff and location. The staff there were very friendly and attentive to all details. My friend and I were warmly welcomed and the check-in process was fast and easy. And what I loved was the location. We can access to everything easily such as restaurant, Mekong River, Night Market...

Breakfast service needs to be improved and I found that it was very slow. We was waiting for almost half hour for the breakfast. Finally, we got only coffee. As it was late, so we left the table without as it was almost our bus time.

I will go back to this hotel next trip.

Very average hotel. Has a lot of potential. Must have started with a great boutique concept however seeing a lot of signs of wear and tear. Staff need to be more attentive.

Small cosy hotel with limited rooms facing the river

Super-friendly staff, clean and cozy room with a nice river view. The breakfast is good and they also have a rooftop bar that you can spend a nice evening with friends. This will be my go to place when I go visit Phnom Penh again.

Musty, dirty, smelly and tatty. NOT a boutique hotel.

Stayed on the 4th floor of the hotel and omg the Celling in Toilet is leaking and wet the toilet floor. I almost fell. Really turn off.

The Quay Hotel has two kinds of rooms, with balcony and without. I had with and it was great. But there is also a nice roof top bar and sitting area.

Great Location! Right across from the riverside walkway: up the street from the Royal Palace and down the street from the Night Market.

Could be cleaner. The breakfast was ok, nothing great, but should have a "no sexpat" policy. Too many gross people there for me to ever take my family back. If they fix these two problems, it will actually be a very nice place to stay at riverside.

Premise is at least 10yrs old from last refurbished. Stayed from 19/6 - 21/6 for work purpose. Bed sheet was dirty with stain of dirt. Told front desk to change but not done. Got some insect bites on me. Must be bed bugs I think.
Bfast is good. Set meal. Location good. Very central. Wouldn t pay that rate for this hotel next time. Really need quite a bit of fresh look n clean carpet.

Great location right on the river and close to some nice restaurants. We stayed in a balcony room on the top level which was very nice and spacious. Lovely breakfast too

We love staying here, always book one of the top floor suites if available. Great view of the river and situated in nice part of the city with shops and restaurants next door. Staff are lovely and always there if you need anything. Hard to leave this place!

I like this boutique hotel because of the location, friendly and helpful staffs plus the design of the room.

They also offer reasonable transportation with prices clearly stated.

I booked the Deluxe River View room on this hotel via agoda, when I arrived for check-in the reception said the room is not available. And he offer me another room with lower category.

I denied the offer and walked out from the hotel directly and request a cancellation without any penalty.

It was supposed to be a great view facing the river and full moon! But disappointing welcome .

Lovely small hotel only 18 rooms. A little bit noisy when you are on the street side. The bed and size room is big. And the breakfast and coffee absolutely good and tastefully. I am a very honest person and very critical so please believe me good value.

Very bad experience this time. Staff unfriendly to rude, in the "clean bedding" blood stains, in the next room party until 01:45 h without anyone from the hotel stepping in. Non-smoking room was still smoked until the fire alarm turned on. Still no response from yes hotels. We have been guests at the Quay Hotel for almost 10 years, this time for sure the last time. NEVER AGAIN,

This review only concerns the restaurant. We found a mosquito in our ice cream. The staff didn't offer a new ice cream or reimbursement. They barely apologize. Beside the mosquito the ice cream had no taste. Definitely a place to avoid.

The hotel interior is not bad, and the staff are friendly
But even if it wasn't just a thief who opened the door with a duplicate key at 3 am...
I couldn't sleep at night because it was not soundproofed
Never leave valuables behind.

Very nice, recently renovated and quiet rooms. The manager left a handwritten note welcoming my stay.
