Kitchen staff roams around to take your plate from you while you still eating. No etiquette whatsoever when being served food they are rude. Treated us like they were doing us a favour whereas our course and services were paid for. Very disappointing
Hotel is nice, staff is friendly, But, the entrance over the bridge from the parking is dirty when you come in, even though we saw a guy cleaning when we left. Rooms are nice and spacious but carpet and couches are dated, bathroom aswell. Also surrounding area is not the best, but enjoyed our stay there anyway.

I have stayed here for over a year, excellent service and the staff is very helpful and friendly, even made some friends along the way.. I still go there from time to time to watch soccer.. Love the atmosphere there..

Nice hotel experience. Spacious rooms and serene on the inside despite the fact that its located right at the heart of busy Johannesburg. Clean and the workers are friendly! But having the Parking so far away was a huge challenge!
The hotel on its own is so amazing, shopping inside, gym is super amazing. The pool it's very nice and the view when you are at the balcony. This is a must visit place

Protea hotel in Joburg it is the best hotel I've ever been in, I had a great time everything is organized and the staff was good to us not forgetting the food it's on another level.
Warm and cozy..has an old feel to it. But the staff is great the food is good but lacks in variety. The rooms are really spacious with an office. Very close to Wits University so expect a student community near buy. Its also close to the CBD via Park Station so its easy to move around
The place is beautiful i love the joburg view and how I just felt like I was in my own little world
