I haven't been there in a while but it was so nice the times I'd been there.
The staff was always nice. Its clean and quiet.
Great selections of films.
Great for caring a first run, documentary or other classic movie
Saw Linda Ronstadt, The Sound of my Voice in the screening room. Small, intimate and great. Now I have yo become a member.
One of the few remaining old school movie theaters. Takes you back in time. It is never crowded when I have gone. Comfy seats and clean. Playground across the street and Ice Cream and several restaurants in walking distance if you want to pair with movie with fanily/kids or "date night" (whatever that is).
I have been a member of the Pelham Picture House for several years. They offer a discounted teacher level membership that I particularly recommend (great birthday gift!) They offer interesting movies - a mix of art, documentary, first run, and family - as well as classes and special showings. Their small screening room is one of the best places to see a movie I have experienced anywhere.
Its a very pleasant intimate feeling watching films there. The staff is friendly and an overall enjoyable experience. Great neighborhood theater, of which there are very few left. Perfect for families..
Nicely well cared and cleaned theater.. one big theater and a small one.
Mostly shows movies winning academy awards. Rarely shows blockbuster movies.
Great staff and historic old theater...really beautiful.
I had a great experience at the Picture House. Seat was comfortable, I could see well and the sound wasn't too loud.
Miss the family movies.
Great place overall!
During April and May..... Senior Tuesdays at 3:30 pm are free.
Cozy, small, historic theater. Great for early shows with kids.
Great movie place for quietly watching a movie without people talking lol
The side screening room was an unexpected surprise. The concept is cool but the setup is a bit cramped. We arrived five minutes before Showtime and only the front row seats were available. It was far too close for my comfort
saw "green book" here, nice old theater... shame there arent more
It's a nice cozy place to see a movie last of the ol movie theater
Just like movie theaters of the past. Reminds me of being a kid and going to these great old theaters and watching a double feature. Inexpensive food. For the younger generation you don't have reclining chairs and you can't pick your seats..but the price is great and staff is friendly. Help support this classic of the past with your patronage or becoming a member!
I love the picture house! Grew up with it. It s a neighborhood establishment.
Trying to work there, on the other hand, was an uncomfortable, rushed, negative experience that was short lived to say the least. I ve never had a potential employer ask me to start working without a contract, without giving my current employer two weeks notice, in the middle of the holidays. But! c'est la vie and life goes on.
Every place isn t for you professionally; but movies are always great.
Buy some pop corn, and enjoy the show!
A nice large theater rarely crowded. Way more fun movie experience for me than a large multiplex.
Cozy and very comfortable. Old-school and unique. Extremely friendly staff
It's a theater. They have one screen that's an okay size for movies, but a great size for YouTube vids.
Went to Dunkirk. The Picture House is a gem in Pelham. Great sound and picture quality. Worth supporting the smaller, non-chain businesses.
A nicely refurbished community movie theater. Congenial staff and comfy seats.
Got to see Parasite in the screening room. -very intimate setting.
Very comfortable feel. "Screening room" is like a big living room
Classic old time theater where the popcorn doesn't cost a fortune. They use real butter. The fountain soda never seems to have the right mix of syrup to seltzer fur some reason, get the bottle. The small theater has amazing recliners and the main theater is nostalgic and comfortable. Great for when you missed the movie in first run theater.
Cute little theatre with a good selection of films showing.
Good films, nice facility and reasonable ticket prices.
This is a no-frills theater, but if you like quiet, little to no crowds, low prices and simplicity, this is your place!
I read this theater it 5 stars because it gives you the old vintage big screen feel in the old classic movie theater design while the seating is a bit outdated compared to the newer look Luxury Cinemas the theater still knocks it at the park with the what a trip to the movies was all about, great picture Great Sound and a great experience all around. The theater offers a huge screen and also a small private viewing room and can handle all sorts of events.
The jewel of Pelham. Great value for both tickets and comestibles. The cozy screening room is very unique and always plays unusual and interested independent flicks.
A long standing theatre for public and private showings. My friend had his film screening there and the Picture House has a great use of space and accommodations. Very comfortable setting.
The theater has a very old school, upkept look. There is one huge theador. No two movies play at the same time. It was very cool. Tickets are purchased outside like it was back in the day. Great place to go for dates, kids, or just a casual get together
So wonderful this beautiful historic "barn" has been restored!!!someone I know tried to do if back in the 90's but for al the wrong reasons...glad the right people are taking care of this!!! Fabulous!!!!
It's a small, convenient theater where seniors and children are comfortable. It's a family oriented Theater.
Great theater to catch a movie. Really cheap concession prices and huge old school theater that has been renovated. They often get movies later in there theatrical runs however
This is a great movie theater if you want to find rare movies that are not shown on other movie places. But here are the cons and the pros of this movie theater.
Cons: Very limited seating in the screening room. There are only 14 seats in that room. And if you look at their website, they will have an advanced screening, meaning that there will be only one day at what time that the movie will be at the Pelham picture house. Pros: The prices for the food, including the popcorn and the soda, and the tickets per person are low compared to other movie theaters. The seats are wide, leather and a comfy support for your back. And the projector is wide, and there is a beverage stand right next to your seat as well. And you can bring your own snacks from home as well. I hope that people will come to this theater very soon and see one or more of these movies. I know I have, and it was an inspiration for me.
A real small home town theater that involves itself in the community.
A historic movie theater with comfortable seating plus a happy mix of first run and classic movies...what more can a movie lover ask for. Five stars for the staff as well :-)
A Pelham institution. The picture house is a great way to spend a night out on the town and is not very expensive!
This theater always has interesting movies playing. If your looking for a classic theater this is the spot.
I love the Picture House. Good movies Comfortable seating. Love being a member...discount tickets and free popcorn.
It's ok. Ok, so better than ok. Small, old-school movie theater.
I saw Falsettos here, and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life!! The staff is sweet and kind, they even let me keep the Falsettos poster!!! Much love to this theater!!
Not only a neighborhood treasure, but a regional resource for amazing films. The Fall/Winter/Spring Film Clubs with Marshall Fine have made our Wednesdays. Highly recommend becoming a member - it's quite reasonable and you save on ticket admissions.
Amazing current movies in a clean, state of the art theatre! Definitely take advantage of the documentaries and artist talks, as well as out-of-school programming for kids. And their fundraisers are not to be missed! Support local businesses that positively impact the community.
I'd love to support. but no refills on a drink that costs 4 dollars with a paper straw that has to be replaced multiple times throughout the course of a film seems very stingy for the amount of support they get. Rude high schoolers running concession took a lot from the experience. Shame because the location is beautiful.
Always enjoy going here and I am very happy with the renovations.
Beautiful friendly vintage movie house showing a mix of first run and art films
Beautiful family oriented one screen movie theater. A great successful project of community stepping up for it's landmarks. Love it!
Nice theatre with very comfortable seats. Good sound system. Unique as well as main stream movies are shown.
Small little theater offering a few movies. Clean and tidy. One theater is quite small (14 seats), but still offers a good viewing experience.
Great place. Shows current mainstream and art house genres. Friendly staff too.
