I took my mother to afternoon tea while she was visiting from California. The service was excellent and the food was wonderful. They also provided extra servings of the small plates we loved. The view was beautiful and the decor was lovely.

I was so looking forward to my experience at SPA Peninsula. However, everything was excellent except my facial. I must admit, I believe my technician was a novice. After my visit I compared my services with my daughter (who was accompanying me) and although we got the high-end facial costing $225 each, she received different services from her technician. While getting my treatment I compared the experience to Elizabeth Arden (where I have frequented numerous times) and this one did not measure up to Arden. I think if my technician had not spent 30 minutes massaging my scalp she would have had time to examine my face and do a better job. I was not satisfied and I don't think I will be returning except to get a manicure by Erika, who was great, and have lunch.

Best Ultra Luxury Full Service Hotel in Chicago. I would give it 6 Stars + !
Consistent impeccable courteous service, immaculate maintained rooms. I stayed in a Junior suite. Everything about this hotel is over the top! From decor and design, art work and chandeliers to the super comfortable rooms and bed.
Fantastic Spa and Pool on top floor. Got a glimpse the the much talked about and anticipated opening of The Z Bar this coming week. It over looks Michigan Ave. Chicago has a New Hot Spot!
Even if you don't stay here you have to dine in one of their four restaurants
The Peninsula Hotels are World renowned. A clear step above the Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons!

Fine hotel. Great service (as you can imagine) from valet to whatever destination inside the hotel. They have restaurants and a nice spot called Z Bar (my actual reason for the visit).

Had a private room with group of friends. Exceptional service, cozy atmosphere, fire place! Balcony with great city high-rise views. Delicious drinks.

If you want an upscale nightcap spot, it's a good choice.

Great room, view is a bit disappointed (was hoping for a great view of the water tower). Very good service, in room breakfast is excellent with the restrictions we have. Overall great stay relaxed night. A pricy space.

Classy hotel within walking distance of Chicago's attractions

The rooms have a great feel to them, ample space, clean decor, nice dark furniture, big open bathroom. Hotel has a wonderful rooftop bar, great cocktails with their spinning glasses, desserts, and bites. The staff are pleasant, and there is always someone ready to spin the doors as you exit. Rooms have coffee and tea, which you can brew when you wake up, they even have some nice China (saucer, cup, and spoon) to drink from. You can walk to plenty of restaurants, shopping or attractions. Great place to stay

The Peninsula is one of the classiest hotels in Chicago with top-notch service. I came here for afternoon tea and was overwhelmed by the amount of food that came with the service. From scones to sandwiches to macaroons, everything was perfectly arranged and plated. My favorite item was the apple cider beignet but everything was pretty tasty.

Very nice hotel with fantastic staff. Sooner issues with the electronics - the music kept cutting out on Saturday night and the tablet malfunctioned nit letting new access my messages and was displaying the incorrect time by 5 hours.

One of the best places to stay in downtown Chicago. The staff helped set up a birthday surprise for my mother in law and was very accommodating with all of our requests. The kicker, you'll occasionally see a local celebrity there. Jimmy Butler, formerly if the Chicago Bulls, helped hold the door for me on my last visit.

stayed here in mid-October and again in the beginning of Nov 2019. Both trips were over the weekend. The service is exemplary. The staff went out of their way to do whatever was necessary to make our stay better; it was greatly appreciated. For my second stay, I booked a suite and received the house car to myself for three hours each day. The cars are cool, and the driver was polite, funny, and very knowledgeable. As one could expect, the rooms were amazing, as was the hotel's location.

The only "issue" I had was with The Lobby Restaurant. The service was consistently slow, and, although the restaurant staff were friendly, they were not up-to-par with the Peninsula brand and the rest of the staff at the hotel.

Nonetheless, I visit Chicago 6-7 times a year, and now won't even consider staying anywhere but the Peninsula.

Rooms were amazing and immaculate but customer service could be improved. I ordered an ironing board at 11pm because I had to depart for a meeting at 6 am, I stayed up until 1230 waiting for the iron and called back twice to check on its arrival. When I awoke at 5am the next morning still not ironing board, as I walked out at 6 am it was at my door. The staff was amazingly nice but device request process could be smoothed out.

An unbelievable experience.
The Z bar is fantastic with an outside terrace. Weather permitting. They also offer some great dishes to share.

Went to eat at The Lobby in the Peninsula in Chicago. It was an amazing experience with my family and friends. We were celebrating two friends birthday that were coming up soon. The rose wine was very good. All the entrees from the steak to the porcelet, to the fish, to the salmon and even the free bread was very tasty. The tuna tartare was a delicious appetizer. and the dessert was amazing. we tried the Thai iced tea ice cream and a pineapple coconut dessert. Definitely worth trying at least once.

Very nice hotel situated in a great location. Very attentive staff and a quick 5 min walk to the water for a 6am run. The rooms are clean and in my case the windows were also able to open.

The peninsula was an amazing place to stay. We stayed in a Jr. Suite and the staff was so accommodating to every need. We spent some time at the spa in the morning and I highly recommend it. The services were beyond exceptional.

We visited The Lobby for afternoon tea, which, you addition to tea includes a variety of pastries and sandwiches. The food was very good, but I found the tea much too strong. The tableware included an individual silver tea pot for each person, which was a little heavy for some in our group. The live classical music was very well performed. Overall, it was worth the fairly high price.

I'm sure The Peninsula does not need another 5 star review, but it deserves the high praise. This is a truly fabulous hotel, with decadent accommodations and amenities. The entire hotel is beautifully and tastefully appointed. The main dining area is especially lovely, with a vaulted ceiling and floor to ceiling windows boasting a gorgeous view of the city. The room we stayed in was no exception either with decorative, yet comfortable arrangements, plush robes, plenty of pillows, and lights that dim throughout. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, you will rarely pass a member of the staff without them smiling or greeting you, if not asking if you need anything. Overall this is an outstanding hotel where you are sure to have an enjoyable stay!

We had dinner at the Shanghai. The service was top notch and the presentation was exemplary. The martini was delicious and refreshing, the prawns were amazingly succulent though I probably didnt need to ses the head. Again though, very cool presentation. The outdoor seating was nicely configured and relaxing. They were very specific and concerned about gluten related issues which was a nice change of pace.
