The Patio Drive In Review

At my last visit the hamburger and fries were cold. I was also overcharged.

Always great food. For a drive in they have a great food selection. Best part is the ice cream. Even if not ordering food we will sometimes stop in for shakes or sundaes.

Been there many times as a kid.im now 42 and went there 4 days ago.best place ever.from dayton ohio

Waited almost an hour and then the lady next to us who got there thirty minutes after we did got her order first. Epic fail!!! We left without eating after that.

A treasure! If your traveling through Big Stone Gap, The Trail of The Lonesome Pine through to Lee County ,The Wilderness Road and on Daniel Boones path leading settlers to the land of milk and honey, Kentucky. You must stop at The Patio and get a taste of Appalachian hospitality and drive in style eating at its best! Plan a family drive and enjoy the great food and great prices.

The food was great, easily accessible, nice people, and very reasonably priced. We ate there cheaper than other big fast food chains and the food was better, in my opinion

Loved it. Hadn't been there in years. Brought back childhood memories of our Sunday drives with our stops here for ice cream. Very friendly curb service.

Their french fries are mediocre at best for the 4th time. Burgers was lukewarm, but cheese sticks were really hot. Was really hoping they would be better.

Love their food. Especially the chill they make for their hotdogs.

Great location but I don't like that people throw there thrash out there window as part of the experience?

French fries were just a tad bit to salty, but other than that, the food & service was great!!!!

Excited to see this icon which originally opened in the 1960's and was the happening place for cruisin' and the world's BEST jumbo Patio cheeseburgers back in business! Opening day May 4, 2017 ..... looks like old times :) ! Congratulations to the new owners!

The food is okay, and if you call food in they will say it will be ready in 30 minutes. It might be ready in 30 minutes or it might be an hour they have A LOT of improving to do. But the car hops are friendly

We had a strawberry milk shake ..So good, it had real strawberries. Yum

I don't know how they even get customers. Today is the first and last time I will eat there.

The food is not worth the price, and service is so slow. This place is not what it used to be. Our car hop didn't even know what lemon wedges were when I asked for some for our tea and my wife's oyster dinner. She then proceeded to tell me they "ain't got that, ever." My wife had just gotten some the week before with her food.

Very busy since re-opening on May 4th. Unless getting ice cream items, don't expect "fast food" service. Food is cooked to order and can get backed up with full car lot. Just allow extra waiting time to receive order. Food was very good and worth the wait. Atmosphere was very reminiscing of old "car hop" diner era. Will definitely be making return visit during summer. Can also make call ahead orders for faster service or quick pick ups.

My favorite restaurant back home. Always have to go here when I come home for a visit.
