The Palomino Bar Review

Fun place, great atmosphere, good drinks, delicious food.

Drinks were good but that was about it. My wife and I were the third couple in the place when they opened. We placed our order immediately after the couple that sat next to us did. We didn't get our food until after just about everyone else in the place, 45 minutes later. The people that ordered at the same time were done eating and ready to leave by the time our food appeared from the kitchen. The only excuse they could offer is "I don't know where your food is".

The Palomino is a Bay View staple. Where else can you get amazing beer, Southern-style comfort food and (wait for it) Vegan Southern Style Comfort food? Do they even *allow* Vegans in the South? Who cares! Head over to the Palomino when you want some hearty food or great beer. When it's warm outside, sit out on their patio and enjoy the fresh air.

Awesome place. The spicy chicken sandwich was heavenly. The brunch menu was well laid out. The staff was fun, friendly, and had excellent suggestions. Will definitely be returning with more friends and more positive feedback.

Love the hearty food.. My last chicken dinner wasn't quite as good as the previous several experiences but I won't knock the place for one okay meal out of several ones.. Their carolina sauce and gravy are awesome.

I'd give it less if I could. We were literally the only ones there at 5PM on a Saturday and my food was cold.
Cracklins were cold.
Pimento cheese spread was oily.
Hot fried chicken had no chicken.
Pulled pork nuke warm and tastes like plastic.

Dont make this mistake! Horrible. I tried it once 3 yrs ago now I know why I didn't return.

It's a south side tavern with good food and a little extra dining space. Nice neighborhood spot.

The vegan chicken drummies and tuffalo (tofu wings) were excellent! Good food, good service. Outdoor patio. Casual bar.

Small and quaint but just a little too small for the crowd

We went there because if a menu online. They weren't serving the menu I saw, nor did they have the particular item we were interested in at any time. It was a wasted trip from Waterford and a disappointing Father's Day.

I'm from the south and they serve the best chicken fried steak I've ever had.

Food so good you'll order it two days in a row!!!!
They accidentally forgot an item in my order and they promptly went above and beyond to handle the situation. Definitely recommend for their very tasty menu AND their amazing customer service!!

Fri night, say down at 7, food came out at 8!! Good was fairly good, but the wait time was a killer
