Awesome selection of comfort food. The atmosphere is one of a kind and the crowd is too. Huge selection of drinks and good desserts. Great place for food with friends or just to grab a drink.

Delicious. Amazing southern comfort food. Wonderful wings. Have been a few times and want to go back to try more! Highly recommend the fried chicken dinner.

Just moved into the Bay View area and this was our first eating experience in the area. Being a nice day, we asked to sit outside, but was told there was a 40(!)-minute wait for outside, which seemed totally bizarre as there were empty tables, so we decided to take a table inside. After ordering a relatively straightforward omelette and potato pancakes, I subsequently noticed that there was not much food coming out of the kitchen - a bad sign. After waiting twenty minutes, the not very-attentive waitress apologised for the delay because "...the kitchen was very small." Sorry, but the kitchen miraculously shrunk overnight? And, I really do not want to hear excuses about the kitchen. Finally, after nearly FORTY minutes, we got our food. It was hot and tasty, but something that simple should not take forty minutes. Our first day and our first - and - last visit to Palomino's.

I've lived in this city for 13 years. This place has the best (fried) cheese curds in town. Excellent selection in spirits and beer.

My husband and my favorite Friday night stop! Love the hot fried chicken sandwich with tots, and also the chicken dinner. Love the laid-back vibe.

We love their fried chicken! And we can't wait for our pie baking class with Val!

Juicy, flavorful chicken, fried real crispy. Order a single plate with 2 extra pieces. The mashed potatoes with chicken gravy are great. Not a real Brussel sprouts fan, but you've got to try these!!!

I didn't really discover biscuits and gravy until a couple years ago. Have tried it at a few places. I think this was one of the best B&G that I've had. My gf's waffle is exactly how Alton Brown said they should be, on Good Eats. It was a nice, fluffy, soft waffle. Good food all around.

This used to be our go-to place for vegan options. Please bring back the VALT and macaroni hates cheese! Very disappointing. :-\

Came for the free drink token I got from Small Pie, returned for the brisket burger time and time again. Great local eatery within walking distance from home, right near the lake, in beautiful Bay View. Great service too. Doesn't get any better!

Good food during the week and Saturday, and a good mix of Vegan and Vegetarian if you know anyone who is into that. Skip the Sunday hangover menu though.

Food was dry and we seemed like a bother to the staff. When you see 10 people come in and visit your establishment at least pick up your head and say hi.

I ll admit that at times the service can be slow, however more often than not the food comes out promptly and the staff is friendly. But despite that, I find myself coming back to Palomino time and time again and it s because the atmosphere is nice and the food is solid. It s comfort food and it s always a treat coming here.

If you do find yourself at Palomino, get one of their sandwiches- they re all delicious and filling. Whether it s the pulled pork, fried chicken, PBLT or veggie po-boy - you can t wrong. Also do yourself a favor and get the pimento mac and cheese sooooo tasty.

Super friendly staff, great cocktails and tap beer choices that are always changing out. A huge plus is the amazing soul food that they make from scratch! Did someone say "fried chicken"???? It's delicious- try the fried chicken thigh sandwich and a side of collard greens- YUM!

Save the trip to Nashville for real hot chicken in Wisconsin, who'd a thunk it? Options for vegan were good too. Cold beer and eclectic decour with good service round things out l.

Bartenders are horrific. Dont order anything besides beer. Cant make a martini to save their life and have serious attitude to go with it.

Best burger in Milwaukee. Cornbread is amazing when on the menu.

I visited during brunch so the menu is probably different at dinner but the brunch menu was stacked. I didn't know what to order because it all looked amazing. I've never had such an amazing hot fried chicken sandwich before eating here. My husband got the chicken and waffles and recommends adding another chicken thigh to your order since you only get one thigh and a full wing. Staff was amazing, drinks were tasty. I can't wait to go back for dinner.

I have been going here on Sunday nights after a Sunday funday at the pool. The food is pretty good but a little pricy. The beer and cocktail selection is also good but again, a little pricy.

Casual bar with a great whiskey selection. Make sure to stop in for brunch and order the chicken and waffles. They are the greatest chicken and waffles ever made.

This place used to be much better. The food is good but expensive. They got rid of half the menu and are trying to make it more upscale. I miss the mom's basement underground vibe and the big weird menu. Now it's one sheet of food an even more expensive. Still, they do offer vegan food, and everything tastes good.

My husband and I went on a date night here to take a class from Honey Pie. We were a little surprised about the location at first, but it's got a really cool vibe, a great selection of craft beers....and those tater tots - yum!! We ended up having a really great time and enjoyed the atmosphere while we waited for our pies to bake. Very fun! Would recommend both the bar and the Honey Pie lessons!

Palomino is a Bay View staple with consistently good food, pleasant service, and a nice, casual atmosphere. It had been a while since I had eaten here, and it seems they have redone the menu. Plenty of good-looking options were available, and there is an extensive drink list. If you re looking for a casual, reasonably priced place for dinner in Bay View, Palomino is a good choice.

I opted for the Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich (double) and my friend went with the Shrimp Po boy. We both enjoyed our meals, and the portions were quite large. A copious amount of fresh French fries made half the sandwich enough for me (yay leftovers). The sauce on the fried chicken was excellent; spicy but not overwhelming. The chicken was cooked well, and the breading was nice, not soggy. The house made pickles were a nice touch. Palomino has plenty of craft beers on tap to choose from, which I appreciated.

I look forward to returning to Palomino sooner rather than later. It looks like they still have the Chicken & Waffle on their brunch menu, which was my favorite in the past, so maybe next time it will be for brunch and one of their delicious Bloody Marys.

I love this place. I've moved away and miss it dearly. It's very local, towny. If you're used to Water Street, toady wait staff, or fancy shamncy drinks, this ain't the place for you. You wanna have a beer or an old fashioned among a diverse crowd of Bay View regulars, you wanna hang out at the Palamino.

Limited menu options, a little too greasy, but decent food

The burger was just average and damn small for the price. Our waiter decided to start sweeping the floor next to our table and kicked up dirt/dust as we were starting to dig into the meal. Needless to say we didn't finish and we won't be back. GROSS

It was my favorite Treat in Milwaukee, the Sauce made the perfect sweet balance of flavors!

Solid brunch joint. Smaller menu, but filled with great choices such as the biscuits & gravy, breakfast tacos, and the waffle & fried chicken. They offer excellent coffee and an array of brunch drinks.

What a fun place. Food and drinks are great. The vibe is unparalleled. It a very random spot in Milwaukee that really only means the locals go there. Authentic and fun.

Service was super slow. Took quite a while to even place our orders. Don't understand because the waiters were just standing around. We were one of 6 couples in the whole place at 9 pm on a Monday night. Asked my boyfriend if he would like another beer and never arrived with it. Never asked if I wanted a refill either. Food was decent. Cornbread and biscuits were bland, but homemade jam was good. Shrimp and grits was tasty aside from about 3 tablespoons of standing oil at the top of the bowl and the bacon that tasted like it came from a can of Bacos - charred, dry, and cubed, almost like it was byproduct of something else. Fries were kind of soggy and it took a while for our waiter to bring us a box and even had to ask a different waiter for our check. Overpriced mediocre food. Will not return.

Cool atmosphere, great music, great food, awesome burgers. An awesome veggie burger as well. Waitstaff is superb!

Shot and a beer and fried chicken what could be better?

Yo just did their delivery service due to safer at home and the food was hot, fresh, delicious. It s almost like I was there having an old fashioned at the bar after work... almost. Thanks for being their for us during this time guys.

A nice place to consider for late lunch on a weekend. Palomino Bar is a very neighborly business located at the residential heart of Bay View. The outdoor patio is basically on the sidewalk and you'll get the feeling that you're sitting next to a food truck eating. It's exactly like that.

I like this approach. You feel part of the neighborhood rather than being inside this enclosed business with defined walls and doors. The inside section is closed off for COVID-19.

There's a spot reserved for curbside pickup. Parking is on the street but you should be able to find a spot most of the time.

Their fried chicken sandwich is spicy. Very juicy. Comes with nice soft fries.

Fried pickles are must try. Don't forget the dipping sauce.

Palomino Bar is perfect for what it is. A neighborly experience. Nothing less, nothing more..

A great place to grab a bite and a drink in Sud City. Parking may be challenging but well worth the effort.

Even through all the changes in a the last several years I have never been disappointed with the food. The wine is a definite weakness so make sure you bring a thirst for some tasty beer, because the do very well in that category.

Bartender cranked the music to club-level volumes for two customers, ignoring the rest of us. Half of his customers left within a few minutes.

Beer and shot special which is a good deal. They also have a good whiskey selection in general. Looks like a dive bar but acts like a whiskey bar.

The atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. and our waitress was very friendly! Not a huge menu selection, but I expected that for the size of the restaurant. huge drink selection and fun beers on tap. I give it a 4 only because the pulled pork tasted a little off to me, and I only was able to take a few bites. The server noticed I barely touched my food and took it off our bill, which was really sweet because I wasn't even going to ask. She asked if I wanted to try anything else but I was pretty full from the fries, they definitely give you a lot! I would come back and try again since our server was so friendly and my fiance enjoyed his food!

Super quiet on a Sunday night. Loved looking at all the concert posters and decor. We just stopped in for a few beers but had a very personable young man as a server. Pleasant and was attentive without hovering. Been there before and will go again!

Bar staff was friendly, beer was cold and friendly patrons. There was a mixed age range from 20's to late 50's. I did not have the food that night but have in the past and it was very good.
