Pretty place to stay. The beds are ok but the pill...
Pretty place to stay. The beds are ok but the pillows need to be updated. Too hard.

Beautiful! This is telling third wedding I've attended here and every one has been amazing. This is my first overnight stay and the rooms are beautiful and very clean
We attended a wedding @ The Grain House. It's a Beautiful location! The outside ceremony was wonderful! The reception was nice. The only issue I saw was the staff wasn't set up for everything early enough! They were still putting out salt/pepper and butter on the tables after the guests were coming in from the ceremony (the ceremony which started @530). I would have expected the tables to be completely ready for the guests by 530! The steak was excellent, the chicken was a bit over done on the top (as though it sat for a bit staying warm) but nicely filled with cheese and tasted good. The hotel rooms were nice & clean but our refrigerator had to be replaced and our toilet ran on forever after flushing.
A lovely combination of Olde world charm and sophisticated modern convenience!
The location isn't ideal during rush hour because traffic makes getting out of the parking lot pretty hard but the building itself is nice.
Beautiful landscape, amazing staff and very peaceful environment overall. Love the complementary breakfast. It is good quality food, not microwaved but fresh baked goods and real bacon! Wonderful experience!
We went to see the wedding/reception space. Amanda was very helpful and friendly. Although we will not be booking there, I recommend checking it out if you are planning a wedding.
Stunning hotel and amazing night. We came here for a wedding and they were so lovely here. We managed to get a room with a balcony which had lovely views over the garden. The event space inside was amazing as was the breakfast in the morning to help with our hangovers!!
Maureen at the front desk is basically the best human being on the east coast. We'll miss you, Maureen!
Beautiful Old Inn. Easy to get to from highway. Very comfortable and clean.
Very nice grounds a true must see. I promise that you will enjoy the history in the building. The food and the breakfast was very pleasant with a lot of choices the rooms were that of an old hotel. Romanticized but pleasant. The entire thing as a package deserves plenty of praise. The staff were both cordial and speedy. This location is a very popular wedding venue so that have it down to a science. No missed steps Chris had everything handled all night kudos to him. I enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend to others. #bryangotcarded
I attended a wedding for which I also rented a room at the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge. My stay was extremely pleasant, and all the staff I interacted with were very friendly.
Stayed for thanksgiving and made reservations at the restaurant for dinner. From the hot cider served upon arrival to the lobby fireplace and cozy breakfast which was included with room, we loved our experience.
Cute, old fashioned, and a bit pricey, but perfect for a special occasion
Been here before and usually have an alright time. Took my in-laws here for mother's day and I've never had to apologize for a restaurant before. Overbooked, cold food, nothing respectable about it especially for 70 dollars per head to be reserved ahead of time. Really poor form from this place. Won't be able to bring myself back
We had the wedding of a lifetime, filled with beautiful memories with friends and family. If you're looking to have a memorable, wonderful wedding experience, book a consultation.
Very nice venue. Food was excellent, highly recommended. Decorated for the holidays very nicely
A top-notch staff. Had an incredible time and always everything is catered perfectly to our needs.
My favorite brunch location. Lota of standards plus amazing desserts. Great wedding venue as well.
It was a wonderful experience to share 2 people become husband and wife. Getting together with family. Enjoy the great time with family and friends.
Went there for a wedding. Great food, great staff, and great environment! No complaints we had a great time!
Brunch at the Inn is excellent. Anything you can imagine is available it is all top notch as far as quality and freshness. We're usually there early (just after 10am)... and are always over-waited on which is great for a party of 6... usually as we leave it begins to get busy. They do suggest reservations, and after 11 you'll need them. Make the reservations and get up early. You won't be disappointed.
Was old feeling more than historic. Many people liked their rooms because it was closer to the grain house.
Food was amazing! Atmosphere is unique and relaxing!
I went there for my sister in-law's birthday and I brought my 9 month old. It was great! They we're very accommodating and the food is always very good. The short ribs are my favorite! I've always had a good experience. It runs on the warm side because of the fireplaces they have running, but they really add to the atmosphere of this cozy place.
Though it's rated as 3 star hotel from what I've seen, the amenities and staff bring a level up to that. Unlike the larger chains, it doesn't seem like they have cut the little things like Wi-Fi speed, TV channels, and prompt attention to minor maintenance issues. The decor is colonial I suppose you would say. Nice wood millwork and plenty of well preserved antiques. Modern things such as in-room air filtration, Keurig, and a small refrigerator don't make you feel like in colonial times. Some rooms have balconies and open to a well kept garden patio area. Nice in my opinion.
Very nice and quaint little hotel situated near Verizon headquarters. Convenient to Basking Ridge and Morristown. Nice breakfast buffet and service is great. Rooms are aged but well kept and very clean. Really nice place to stay!
Boutique hotel with great charm. Convenient location right off of 287. Spacious room, but could use a little maintenance.
Great place for a corporate Holiday party. Warm atmosphere, great service and great food.
It was a nice wedding at the facility. The pure room was great. I did get to see how spacious the suit was where the bride and groom were staying.
The staff were excellent, from the front desk when checking in, to the banquest staff john and samantha.
The outdoor ceremony was great and located right out back of the main area. They had 2 dance floors and one was outside under a tent. There were 2 bars, one inside and one outside. The cocktail hour was upstairs and I would say the overal decor was a pleasure.
Choosing the Grain House at the Olde Mill Inn for our wedding ceremony and reception was the best decision we made. We wanted an all inclusive wedding, in a cozy location with lots of good food and drinks. We got exactly that and more. Our More
My husband and I got married at the Olde Mill Inn this past week. We couldn t imagine a better wedding. We had our rehearsal at the Grain House and many of our family and friends stayed at the OMI for two nights. We got ready there in the morning, and had our ceremony on site in the beautiful courtyard. Overall, we were truly impressed with the level of service from all members of the OMI team. We booked with Lindsey who was honest and helpful- it was a pleasure working with her. Alan at the front desk was friendly and sincere as he welcomed all guests. Our maitre de John was outstanding. He made sure that the entire day was exactly as we had imagined, and he worked well alongside all of our vendors. All of the waitstaff and bartenders were attentive and friendly as well. The atmosphere was incredible as guests were able to utilize the cocktail rooms, the outdoor courtyard and the ballroom. We were impressed with the new dance floor and carpet that was put in a week before the wedding. We cannot say enough about the OMI. If you are planning on an intimate, classy wedding at a charming venue book at the Olde Mill Inn.
Great atmosphere, awesome venue whether professional meeting, dinner, or drinks. menu is delicious
We went to a wedding. The food was excellent and the facility was beautiful!
Surprised me! For years i had overlooked this place on work trips. But listen: Great room. Great staff.
Fun place to go for a wedding, nice venue outside and the inside was even better.
Everything needed in one room with that homey feel.
Great food and nice bar. Any traveler will have a wonderful stay.
Had a nice time at a wedding and the reception after
Very nice experience and the small in feel. However, the double beds are the smallest I've seen in a hotel and it's a bit dated.
This place was humane, cozy, and very welcoming. I adored the colonial style and the place symbolized the 18th century.
Enjoyed our evening staying at the hotel. The food was great, rooms were wonderful.
The Olde Mill In has a very cute colonial aesthetic. The room was fairly nice, but a little outdated. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was just okay - nothing to write home about. Overall, it was just adequate.
An outstanding place for a wedding!! Great food drinks and service.
Ate at the restaurant with a friend. Food was decent. Service was good. Only issue was all food options were not available due to an electrical issue.
Amazing stay at the Old Mill Inn for my friends wedding. The food was great, and we couldn't have asked for a more scenic court yard with the snow on February 17th.
Lunch was delicious. Many options for the hosted event. Dessert wasn't that good. Cake was a bit dry.
The staff here are phenomenal! I had the pleasure of being helped by Allen and Robert. They were courteous and generous. They turned my terrible morning into a very pleasant one. And I will definitely return.
The Inn itself was beautiful
The breakfast was delicious
But the best part was the welcoming experience of great hospitality.
Visited the olde mill inn to book my wedding. Staff was fabulous and they answered all my questions. We ended up going back a second time with my parents and again our sales manager, kate, was amazing. We ended up booking and can't wait for our wedding there
Very competent staff. Good looking venue. Layout is a bit of a maze. Walls are a little thin at times. Breakfast was outstanding. Wedding-guest rate was even more outstanding. Above average, in general.
Was there for a wedding. The staff was very attentive and food was great! The entrance is quite historical to make for an interesting venue.
This place is a staple in consistent fine dining. Amazing bartender and ambience. Everything is fresh and delicious. Don't sleep on this hole in the wall!
Lunch service was fast and friendly. Food was good and reasonably priced.
It was a beautiful wedding! Great place!! Would definitely recommend it
The Olde Mill was the PERFECT venue. While there are a lot of beautiful venues, this one is particularly amazing. The homey feel of the reception hall combined with the different rooms courtyard make it so charming. It really felt magical thanks to the very intimate setting. John Lietz was fantastic and his endless energy helped the day and all planning go seamlessly. We definitely recommend!
We just had my sisters wedding at the Olde Mill Inn and the night was perfect! The staff was so attentive. The food at the Grain House was delicious! Gabriel was our Maitre D! Before we needed anything he had it in his hands. His experience in this business was very much appreciated! The bridal suite was everything I could have dreamed of for her perfect day!
first thing I noticed was the stale, musty odor that permeated the place. Next was the dirty condition of the room. the bathroom floor looked as though it wasn't cleaned in 6 months, the A/C keypad was filthy and everything was dust covered. Overall the place was long in the tooth and showed it. The staff was if not unfriendly then highly apathetic no one said good morning, thanks for staying here, NOTHING. Will not stay here again.
Clean rooms, professional staff, and lovely continental breakfast.
