What an amazing find!!! My wife and I were in the city to see Phantom of the Opera. We wanted to grab a bite before the play. We came across The Mean Fiddler. First we noticed the "A" rating posted in the window. We went inside and our first interaction was with the two incredible host's. Even though we didn't have reservations on a Saturday night they still found us a perfect table. They were super nice! We sat and our waitress brought us over some menus and took our drink order. I do have to say,,,, It was one of the best 7 and 7's I ever had. So I ordered a burger and fries with my wife following up by getting the Shepard's Pie. The burger was off the hook and the Shepard's Pie delicious!!! Best decision ever to stop in. Such great food and super service definitely made us customer's for life! Seriously,,, Thank you to all the staff at The Mean Fiddler for everything!!! We look forward to coming back soon!!!

What a great spot to party in. Best pub in New York. Keep it going. I hope the next time I visit, I'm not too old for it anymore.

The drinks were great; the food was good too and the bartender was excellent.

Went here to celebrate our friends bachelorette party, Emma behind the bar was super sweet and got us shots on the house to celebrate! So yum. All us had an amazing time and will definitely be back. You can dance on the bar!

Unremarkable Irish pub/sports bar. We've somehow actually eaten here twice, and could not remember anything about the first visit.

They denied me and my friends on a suppsedly private party knowingly they posted on instragm saying it was a J1 party. We go inside and there s all kinds of people inside that are not J1. The security guard at the door was racist and does not like people of color even though he s color himself. My friends went to the security who are J1 and they didn t let them in because they were with me and my friends. Never again would I bring Business to this place!

An Irish pub in the city center. Close to Time Square. Prices are reasonable compared to the location. A relatively limited range of beers, but the burger and shell ..

Our group was just looking for a place to have a quick drink but the bartenders were awesome and of course we ended up staying way longer than planned. Great place to check out.

The best American bar cost benefit of times square, you have a sport bar, you have an irish bar, you have live music, you have a night club, all in one night, very accessible prices

We came across a lovely outdoor seating set up and decided to grab dinner & a drink. It turned out to be a great choice. Safe, clean, AND good buffalo wings, good burger and nice happy hour drinks. PLUS live music. An unexpected fun night in a crazy covid world. We will return.

A great spacious bar that can cater to parties and just sit down quick bites

Had $6 margaritas which were nice, but not as good as other places in the city. Place was loud. Food was great.

The food seemed expensive and not terribly good for the price. I got chicken tenders and fries for $16 and the chicken tenders were dry and a bit burnt. It seemed like they even cut a bit off of one of them likely because it was too burnt.

Not so much Irish as simply packed full of items that tourists would associate with Ireland. The food portions, although small, we're very well prepared and served piping hot and fresh. The cheese steak was more a steak filled mini ciabatta, and the fries were uninspired, but the veggie empanadas were a delight. Just be careful if ordering a second round of drinks, because although we weren't even halfway finished with our first round as soon as the second set of glasses hit the table our drinks were grabbed and whisked away before we could even comment.

Grab a late meal and drinks here... good food, fun atmosphere later into night! They had DJ upstairs with great music and music videos and karaoke downstairs. Note, kitchen closes at 11pm.

We like this place very much. The service was great experience. We come here before each play when coming to Manhattan. A great place and recommend it very much.

Music choices are terrible, kinda dirty. Full of rookie drinkers. Would never be my first choice. If u have no choice than ok.

I have been going to this place for years, I was using about $500.00 or more a month buying drinks at this place, if I saw a bottles and cups on the floor I will pick it up and throw it in the garbage or put it on the bar, if I think a fight is about to break out I would get security. So one day as I was about to enter this bar the security stopped me and told me that I am banned by the owner so course out of curiosity I asked what is the reason not fighting because I don't fight not for cursing off management or security because that never happened apparently what I was doing I was hovering. I have seen guys got into fight one day and following week they're back partying like nothing happened of course they will white or Irishman. I just thought I would share my opinion with everyone and leave it to your own imagination custom reason I got banned from this Pub.

The Mean Fiddler was great. Our waitress was friendly and patient. The menu was relatively small, but the fold was good. Decent drink selection, as well.

Nice food and atmosphere. We were in a rush for a play and the service was very quick, even though it was really crowded on Friday night.

I had good moments with friends yesterday!! We didn't know the bar turns a dance club haha we loved it!!! The Dj is amazing, cold beer and nice people!!! For a club in Manhattan, the beer price is totally cheap!!!

There was nothing really spectacular about this place but it was fun being there (given the fact that it was a Tuesday night). Our waitress was fun and on point with the service even though my drink wasn't all that great (bourbon with a little coke). The one thing that really WOW'd me was their Cuban Sandwich! HOLY $HIT did this thing taste so damn good! I would literally come back to this place just for the sandwich.

All-in-all though...a nice place to grab some drinks and a CUBAN SAMICH!

Fleet Week Hygincs. Seems every year this is the spot for the sailors to flood into. It's like they don't realize there's more to the city than Hells Kitchen or Times Square.

Everything excellent. Rich. Abundant. NY prices. Nice place. It would only make the Beer colder. It is to go.

An Amazing place with a Great atmosphere and Excellent food, not only that but all the staff make you feel so welcome and right at home , as if you know them already. Would highly recommend the mean fiddler For a great day or night.

We were able to get seated right away though it was pretty busy. We had some sort of weird setup where more than one server was helping out at our table which mostly just seemed to mean nobody knew what was going on and it was slow to get orders. We got a round of beers and then some smaller food. The food was pretty pricy for mediocre food including $14 for potato coated chicken tenders that were okay but not $14s good. It then took forever to get another round of beers and our check. Staff was friendly enough but overall experience was poor. Wouldn't bother stopping in again of I was in the neighborhood.

Came across this spot while playing tourist around Times Square. It s a great little spot for some food and drinks , our bartender Shauna could not have been more helpful when choosing our food and drinks , she recommended the fish and chips and the coffee and prestige cocktail and Wow we were super impressed with the recommendation and friendly service , definitely will be back next time we re in town, Go Shauna !

Called in for our evening meal on Saturday evening. Place was quite busy. We all enjoyed our food , that was served quickly and very politely..not sure how you can call it an Irish bar though. There was a good mix of people in., some like us just calling in for something to eat . Some having a good laugh and a drink and some watching one of the many tv's with sport on

Super bar, live music and long opening hours. A visit is absolutely worthwhile.

We came into Manhattan to watch the Conor MacGregor fight and wanted the true Irish experience. They couldn't get the fights on and when I inquired I was told I was complaining. "We spent $200 bucks getting in the mood with a rude waitress and then they came around and asked us for $5 each for the fights that they couldn't get on (we missed all the prelims). When we called earlier they said if we got there earlier there would be no cover. We had decided due to the incomepetence and rudeness to go across the street to a place called Buffalo WIngs and Beer. No cover charge, friendly waitress and some serious kick ass wings oh, and we caught the last prelim fight. Very disappointed and wouldn't recommend the Mean Fiddler whatsoever.

Burgers are at best average. Beer has the same quality. Tourist oriented place with nothing special to offer.

I checked out this place with a large group right after a Broadway show. This location was very convenient since it was literally right next to the theater and we didn't have to wait long to be seated. The waitress was very attentive and resolved a small issue we had. A laid back environment with even a small dance floor in the back of the place and people having fun.

Great little spirts bar just off times square. Serves great Guinness!!

I went for lunch. Everything tasted great. Some of the Broadway stars eat there.

I booked a table for my mom's birthday after reading other reviews, and it didn't disappoint. The food was generally excellent, and the atmosphere was wonderful for a Sunday evening. The prices are definitely on the higher end, but I would strongly recommend this place as somewhere to go for a special occasion.

A bit on the loud side, but excellent food, service, and prices. We had the bangers and mash and the fish and chips. Both were excellent quality and solid portions.
