Awesome place to hang out with friends...most amazing Friday late night DJ and beat nachos ever!
This place is great! I come here all the time when I am in midtown. The waitstaff and bartenders are great! They are so kind and freindly especially Michelle and Anya at the bar!
Great food and drinks at a fair price. Turns into a dance bar at night with a DJ. Fun atmosphere to watch sporting events.
Crowded and extremely loud. I understand that that's the pub vibe, but didn't enjoy it.
The beer selection is good and so are the cocktails.
Good place for a crazy night out!
great atmosphere..awesome music..mad wings...and great service..coca cola wngs is it.
The sevice was Great and happy hour was worth revisiting. would recommend to others
Like 500 guys no women? 50 Year Old woman dancing with 25 year olds? Time to move to another state.
Great atmosphere plenty of bartenders coat check option upstairs bar lounge downstairs dancefloor
Usually stop in when in midtown, reasonable pricing
Great bar tenders, decent food. Great place to catch up with friends over a drink.
They don't like local one stagehands here and I will never return
Had the BEST time. Live music, authentic Irish bartenders (who are very nice to look at). Super fun atmosphere. Decent prices for Times Square
Very nice service, cozy pub.
Occasionally live musicians
Restaurant has great food, adult beverages and a cool vibe. Ashley was wonderful!
Always have a great time here with superb music and vibes all around the place! College crowd from time to time
Best Irish bar in New York City. Great staff, food and live music. Pajo was the name of our bartender, he was very helpful and quick with service.
Good food, great atmosphere but wish they'd play Irish music instead of pop
Typical dirty college bar, cheap drinks, and loud crowds. Service was decent though for being as busy, but most of the ppl at the bar rail were clearly very drunk.
Excellent place for lunch, dinner or a night of drinks. Food is really good. Love the burgers and the grilled chicken sandwich. Always really fresh.
The place gets a fun crowd. The excellent tv system with euro football (American soccer) is the best.
The manager, Ducky, is a great guy. He keeps the big late night crowd in line and controlling any trouble makers.his way you can have fun and feel comfortable.
The individuals posting reviews that complain about him probably got what they deserved.
I definitely recommend this place.
Great for live music, good drinks, good food, Time Square
Was recommended this place from a few people and I wish I wasn't. I'd recommend visiting any other bar from this one
Its a good dance place
A fun place to hop into
The drinks were not bad
Great place with great food. The staff is very helpful.
We stopped in for a quick bite before a show. The food, atmosphere and service were all authentic and fantastic. Would highly recommend.
A good after work hangout that's just far enough from Times Square and the Theaters to avoid being packed with tourists.
Like home away from home, great staff, tasty food and a real Irish feel
Loved it, Great atmosphere, great music, even better people can't wait to go back
If you want to eat, have a drink or just listen to some music, the place knows how to welcome you. Very animated and popular on the weekend.
Late night dancing fun. Staff was great from bartenders, bouncers, DJ and maintenance crew.
Irish pub in all its glory. Beer, noise and DJ. Screen everywhere and excellent fish tacos.
Great atmosphere. Live music and good food. Awesome combination. I even walked out with a free Tshirt.
Just in for a drink. Bar service was good, selection of beer was meagre but suitable. Authentic as it needed to be; good for a bro-date but not a highlight for something romantic.
Our server Sorsha lived up to the name of the establishment truly, mean . The environment felt kind of charming until I had to interact with this individual and honestly ruined my time. Merry Christmas Sorsha, I hope your day gets better.
This is a really cool bar with lots of room in a great location. The inside is expansive around a central four sided bar. There is all kinds of tasty bar food to appease your appetite and a huge selection of tasty beers to wet your whistle. The wall mounted bar height bench seats around the perimeter are a nice touch. Keep your eyes peeled for an impromptu game of flip cup along the back wall. This has a great scene after broadways shows most nights. I'll be back on the weekend to see how it shakes out for the really party scene. Double bonus points for the cute waitresses and their great attentive service!
Fantastic atmosphere. Friendly bar staff. Good live music. Definitely a Place to visit!
Good environment the security guards always watching and looking out all the employees are friendly And they make you feel welcome
Good solid burger, would have been 5 stars but the service was a bit lacking. After waiting about 15 minutes for the waitress, went on you to the bar to place our order, then sat back down.
Been there to watch a world cup game. ok overall, but wait staff were hard to get and distracted. Don't go there if you are in a hurry.
I went there to enjoy a night with my friends who were visiting NYC. Apparently I dance too much. Some random people (I never knew who) complained even though I wasn't even drinking, so I followed the bouncer outside like a nice citizen. I ask Jorge, after roughly 15-20 minutes, if I can go inside to see my friends. Apparently these random people's baseless opinion outweighs my coherent and respectful waiting outside the bar. Why try to have a fun night there. Please do not go to the Mean Fiddler. My night was dictated by strangers, who were almost surely less sober than I was. There are plenty of more dance bars in NYC. Go to them, and enjoy your time in New York City! :)
The Mean Fiddler is one of my favourite bars of all time. I ve been going for many years and whenever I m in New York I do my very best to get there. The staff are always very friendly and the atmosphere is awesome. It s definitely worth a visit if you d like a low key night in a friendly New York bar!
Staff is rude af and overpriced drinks. Snobby hipster bartenders who think they are awesome.
A friend and I happened on The Mean Fiddler by chance. It's a classic Irish pub with lots of pictures and memorabilia, a good amount of table top seating, and great food. My friend and I ordered an array of appetizers, nachos, and drinks and were very happy, and the service was quick and pleasant.
Came here after catching a show at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. While not my usual stomping grounds, this is a decent pub-style bar, with good service and tasty nachos. If you find yourself in the area and fancy a drink, this is your place!
A great escape, friendly staff, good music, draft and bottle beer. Super close to times Square, recommend you try.
Loved this place! Great food and excellent service.
Irish pub as we like it, good music, good beer and good food.
Always the best place to end of your night in Manhattan
Attentive, capable bartenders, good beer choices, and LIVE music on Saturday night! Great energy. We will be back.
If an Irish pub crashed into a midtown bar this would be the result. interesting regulars, ranging from frat boys to business men stopping in for a drink. sometimes if you stay long enough you can maybe see the two get together and have a great time
A perfect place to spend time with a good atmosphere and nice people and excellent drinks
Had amazing night full of people dancing and cheap beer
Excellent evening. Customer Service at its best. We were a party of 12 and were genuinely welcomed. Food and drink plentiful. Brilliant Singer/Guitarist who sang a broad range of songs and really engaged the customers. He even got me up to sing a couple of songs using his guitar!
Great place with a wild crowd. Always great time. Moderate price for drinks. Very good food at cheap for NYC prices.
I used to look forward to having a bite to eat here and a drink when I was forced to be in the times square area. The food is pretty good and the prices were reasonable. With the new menu however, it's just another over priced place. The same brisket that they had before on their brisket sandwich, only now you get less because it's on "sliders" now and it doesn't come with fries any more, and yet it costs a few dollars more than it did before.
The drinks are still reasonable, especially the beers, and the staff is always great, definitely still coming here for a drink or five.
What a place made even better by the lovely Debbie. Will be recommending this place to everyone serves is great, food is fantastic and the craic is mighty.
It was fun!
Just go you wont be dissapointed
