We did the general tour which lasted an hour. Our tour guide was very engaging and knowledgeable. We also walked through the other exhibits, including "Twain's Attic" which just opened last week and runs through January 2020. We enjoyed our time at the Mark Twain House.

I was taking a trip to Connecticut and Rhode Island. I had plans to start in Mystic the day after traveling and figured I should make something of the travel day and planned a stop here a bit out of the way. I planned this as a bit of a time killer, but by the end of the trip this was the part I most enjoyed. The museum was interesting, the house tour much moreso. The tour guide I had was very knowledgeable, open to questions, and I got the feeling she genuinely liked what she was presenting rather than doing as an obligation as part of a job. I learned a good deal and saw some pieces I very much appreciated. Even though I've done it already, I could actually see myself doing it again if in the area.

It was great to tour the house of one of America's greatest authors and learn more about Samuel Clemens better known as Mark Twain. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out those small little things about the house that made it unique as well as showed some of the quirks of Mr. Clemens. If you have the opportunity to visit, I'd recommend it. Note that pictures aren't allowed inside
