Came here for a late lunch, it was very busy but also very inviting, and the decor is very fitting with the theatre and amazing views over the rooftops of Berwick. The food is outstanding, and we had soup, and a scone, twice cooked chips, and a special mayo, a it was all absolutely delicious will be a regular for sure

This place is fantastic, saw my first ballet this afternoon, Tchaikovsky's 'Nutcracker '. Absolutely blown away by the discipline and trust the dancers have, aside from their skill, grace and talent. The stage bar is cosy and peaceful, reasonably priced and convivial. I will be going again without a doubt

Great place not only for a pre-theatre lunch or supper, but for any trip into town. I specifically recommend either the variety of soups made every day, and the beautiful Eyemouth fish goujons with twice-cooked fries!

Cultural place with a very good restaurant. Shame kitchen doesn't open until past 10 am as we only could have bacon rolls or scones for breakfast. We are vegetarians so not a lot of variety... However this is a really good place and it is worth a visit :-) friendly staff too

The Maltings is a great place for locals and visitors alike. A stage for everything from school plays to nationally recognised acts, local performers and a cinema. We are lucky to have it. The cafe is worth a visit too and has a great view.

The Maltings, nestled amid cobbled streets the cafe/kitchen had a fresh and light feel, the food was fresh and staff had good allergy awareness. The coffee was delicious and decor had an art feel with paintings, photos and green plants. The view is over the rooftops of the town and prices are more than fair for the fayre provided

Went to the cafe for a sandwich at lunch time. Good selection on offer together with specials and light lunches as well as delicious looking cakes and scones. Good range of teas, coffees and cold drinks. Staff delivered very good service. Bonus of lovely views over rooftops of Berwick down to the river and across the other side.

Another lovely lunch here, it really is a gem. Great ambience, lovely views over the rooftops and river and above all, unfailingly great food. Always a good choice, whether it be for lunch or just coffee and a scone or cake.

Fantastic night on Friday watching Bryan Adams Experience. The Band were great and the atmosphere reflected it. Singing, dancing and an all round good feeling. Thoroughly enjoyed the skills of the Lead Guitarist .

Just a review of the restaurant, as I have never been to the theatre.

I stopped by for lunch on way through town. I had no idea what to expect and was very impressed with their light- lunch / salad. It's not your typical theatre fare -- I expect that they have a chef on staff, as these meals seemed more planned-cuisine than cookie-cutter cafe quaffs. Very pleasant surprise which made my day a little brighter.

A very popular spot - we hadn't booked but staff fitted us in and were very welcoming. A good light meal from the pre-show menu - fish and chips, soup and cheese scone, a superior salad. Gorgeous roof top view, drinks and lots of art.

A gem of an arts venue! Nothing like I expected. It was like a TARDIS inside. A good venue for the arts for a small town. The nearest cinemas are Newcastle and Edinburgh so a long drive. We went to see a film and it was a really good 'proper pictures' atmosphere. Comfortable, an excellent bar and plenty of room. Seem to have a good mix of performances so will definitely return.
