A couple weeks ago I was able to shoot at the Duke mansion. We shot a baby shower for Vani, the Food Babe. The venue is actually so large, that you can have multiple events set up at the same time and never run into another event. I was actually surprised of the size of the place given that it s just right off the main road headed from downtown.

Was here for a business function. Beautiful venue, great food, friendly service. The only thing that was not 5 star would be dessert. It was just ok. Not super creative or super tasty.

A Gem in Downtown!! This place is absolutely gorgeous! From the moment I arrived I saw the lights in the dawn shimmer on the mansion and was greeted by a beautiful fountain. The garden is wonderful and a great place to relax in. Although I was only here for a conference and did not get to see the rooms the staff were very attentive to our needs and made it a pleasurable experience. I will most likely come back with my boyfriend for a weekend just to get away!

Great place to hold and event. My toom reservations were lost but i was kinda happy about it because the rooms were small and dated and the pricey was too much. I had a much better stay in town than my friends who stayed there did. Other than that the place is gorgeous and the grounds are well kept

Love our room beautiful gardens and delicious breakfast. I dropped an star because front desk staff could be more friendly, the guy that greeted us and we asked a question looked like we were bothering him on two occasions.

What a gorgeous place...from the outside - the volunteer grounds crew is INCREDIBLE! I will admit my perspective of this mansion is skewed as I recently visited the Biltmore BUT the prestige at the Duke Mansion carries some serious clout. Each room accessible to the public resembles a different Board Members feeble attempt to reflect on the history of this gem...unfortunately you can tell there are too many cooks in the kitchen.

This was my first time to North Carolina and my first time staying at a bed and breakfast. What a treat the Duke Mansion really is. I make very few recommendations, but this is one I endorse, wholeheartedly.

My niece s wedding reception was held here and it was something out of a storybook, really. We all read about these things in magazine and papers, but have you ever been to one? Neither have I, until now. Allow me to gather my thoughts. The hotel is very old, built in 1915 and so plumbing and electricity were relatively new. Elevators were uncommon and air conditioning was unheard of, yet the Duke Mansion has all these amenities and herein lies its undeniable charm: The modern world melds with old time tradition and opulence. I went back in time and loved it. The hotel has a unique allure; well kept, clean, beautifully old, stately and plain charming. The grounds and gardens are a site to see. Amazing. Where else in today s modern world can you find this?

Here is what brought a gleaming smile to my face. The staff is great. They are proud to welcome you to this facility. It is written with the BIG smiles on their faces. The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable and what s not to like when you wake in the early morning and meander downstairs to the dining room where a hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit and hot coffee are awaiting you (vegetarian items too)? This alone was worth staying there. You ll meet Inez, she s amazing. She is charming and personable. Don t skip breakfast, it is fantastically superb.

It was a genuine pleasure experiencing the Duke Mansion. The staff exhibit heartwarming converse and are sincerely happy to assist you. The hotel is set center direct within a neighborhood of superbly old, towering growth trees they re huge. The canopy s are vast and cove the residential streets in entirety. The most peaceful time abound was strolling through the neighborhood after breakfast. The temperature was cool, the sun was shining, the chipmunks were abundant and the army of landscapers were buzzing about. The neighborhood is adorably quaint. Mansions are commonplace on every street and they are quite the spectacle to see. I wish I could own one and call this place home (maybe when I retire). To boot, the mansion is a mere 7 minute drive from downtown Charlotte and oh, how I love this feature. Think about this.

If I am ever back in Charlotte, I will not hesitate to go out of my way to stay here again. In fact, I can t wait to visit this place again. I m thinking of ways to entice my wife to come back and, I have to say, it s pretty easy. Looking forward to my next stay.

I had my bridal portraits taken at Duke Mansion in April. It was an absolutely stunning venue to have my pictures taken. I worked with Cinthya in setting this up. She was responsive, helpful and informative.

We did look at the Duke Mansion for a wedding venue. Although it would be a beautiful spot to have a wedding, as a host you are required to fill all of the rooms (I don't remember how many, maybe 20 or so). If you don't fill them all you are responsible for paying for those unused rooms. We couldn't guarantee our guests would book there and we didn't want to be stuck with this cost. You can also only have 150 guests- this wouldn't have been an issue for us but obviously would be if you have a larger guest count.

A secluded bed and breakfast in a beautiful neighborhood only 5 minutes from downtown Charlotte. What's not to like? Great service, great breakfast, and a great property with nice gardens to stroll around.

This is an excellent spot in the Charlotte area to enjoy the beauties of their gardens, especially during these COVID-19 pandemic precautions days. We visited them a few weeks ago while we was visiting the local area, and we wanted to maybe get a glass of wine. Unfortunately the bar was closed, but a friendly staff employee explained their precautions and encouraged us to enjoy a relaxing walk through their gardens. This is a beautiful property for engagement and or wedding venue. I would highly recommend it to friends and family members who enjoy beautiful gardens.

We spent the night at the Duke Mansion as an anniversary get away. It was wonderful. The room was spacious and very nice. The bed was very comfortable. And the breakfast was amazing. All the staff were gracious and welcoming. We may have just discovered a new anniversary tradition.

We were there for a wedding. Where we ate was across the building from the kitchen so they had to keep going through us to set up the food. Also, there were lawn games after the ceremony, but it was really hard to play them as the grass was very high. They should of cut it before the wedding.

Very beautiful peaceful place. Everyone was dressed to impress. The flowers in the garden address well taken care of and the inside of the home was comfortable with this hot summer. I would go back again.

Beautiful location. Even if you re not staying at the hotel, it s worth it to stop by and take a look around the ground floor (if it s not busy for an event) and the gardens. Sit back and enjoy on the rocking chairs on the front porch.

Enjoyed my stay, the staff was very nice. The rooms where great the baloney is big and beautiful and also shared with the room next door, was to cold to use it at this time of year. Loved waking around the mansion inside and out. Great stay A++
