Have been a customer for 10 years. No complaints, great service. Besides the fact that the owner, Sam, is a terrific human being who I completely trust, the best thing about Lusty Wrench is competency and knowledge of automobiles. Why waste time, waste money, or take risks with anything less?

The folks at Lusty Wrench are some of the most kind, hard-working, and honest mechanics I've met. They treat your car with care, and they let you know exactly what's going on without forcing your hand on any unnecessary repairs. As a young woman with an old car on its last leg, I got some great advice and the right repairs to let my car last a little longer. I highly recommend taking your car here even for a tune-up, as the wisdom and expertise of the owners and employees is unparalleled.

I took my car in to get looked at and had a great experience! Didn't end up having the work done there because I was leaving town, but the mechanic I spoke to was super nice and explained everything to me.

They were able to get us in quickly, but it was a little pricey at $900 to replace an alternator with a used one. They also recommended additional repairs bringing the total to above $3,000. I don't think they were lying; the car probably could use those repairs in a perfect world. However, they made it sound more urgent and dangerous than it was. I skipped those repairs and have been driving the car for 9 months since then with no issues.

Not a bad shop, just not a good fit for me.

Sam and the rest of the crew at the Lusty Wrench are Tops! They are thorough, honest, and environmentally responsible. How about THAT in a mechanic! Sure - they're more expensive for some things... but you do get what you pay for. And... it's great to have a mechanic you can actually have a real conversation with. Do they have opinions - sure - who doesn't? It's called dialog. :-)

Oh... and by the way - although the work they DO perform is more expensive, there are several times Sam has told me not to waste my money on something that some OTHER mechanic has recommended (just to make a sale). He even recommended to me to get rid of my old car when the problems were getting ridiculously expensive even though he would have made more money on me. Sam's a rare breed in this world. Support him!

Don't let the looks of the building and office fool you. This guy is great! He is very truthful and honest. On top of that, he's prices are good! We were from out of town and needed an inspection on a vehicle we were looking to purchase. He was very personable and did a thorough job! I would recommend him to anyone. I wish he was near my hometown so he could be my regular mechanic.

I am customer for life! Sam isn't offended by my asking questions (I ask a lot of questions and do a lot of research), and he likes to explain. His pricing can't be beat (I am an obsessive price-comparer). He is honest and knowledgeable. He passed my "ask my dad if this mechanic is trying to dupe me/overcharge me/tell me wrong things" test.

Plus, he cares about the environment.

This is a gem of a local business. Cleveland heights is lucky to have Lusty Wrech!
