Not the worst large concert venue I've been to, but could use some upgrades. Stage seems small. Screens seem small. Higher seats are bench style and it's almost impossible to move. Overall just mediocre venue.

Nice venue!

Nice venue!
I've been to this venue a couple times each time very impressed by how clean it is. The prices here are very reasonable the draft beer was $8.25. In the wait times was pretty nice.
The boys has very good sound quality somehow our phones were able to pick up pretty good videos. The staff is very helpful and seem nice.
Parking is pretty easy as well each time I've been I've parked away from the arena with ease.

I mean it s sort of like the Garden of the Gods for college basketball. Since the new renovations even the upper arena is a fantastic experience.

Chair backs on the seats in the upper arena have not only made it a more pleasurable place to sit, the Jumbotron in the center court and the large screens in all four corners of the arena insure you don t miss any action or instant replays.

There seems to be more legroom in the upper level since the installation of the chair backs on the seats. More updates are coming to arena including suites which will gobble up more seating in the arena.

I do wish the students were allotted seats all along the floor where the current fold out chairs are now. Look at Auburn. Look at Michigan State. Look at all the other places where the STUDENTS sit next to the court. It makes for a much better environment than the wine and cheese blue hairs in Rupp.

But that s not Rupp s fault. It s on the University of Kentucky s athletic department. No wonder the students don t want to come to games. They don t make it easy to get tickets and then they stuff them in the end zone and corners.

Have we forgotten as fans that this is THEIR school?

Anyway, it is what it is. The average age of the fan has to be over 55. A recent trip to Phog Allen Fieldhouse I became aware of just how geriatric KY basketball games are. The average age at Kansas had to be sub 35 with tons and tons of young fans and kids.

It was LOUD and EVERYONE was on their feet!

Something has to be done to improve the fan experience at KY games. Alcohol? Cater more to the STUDENTS?? SOMETHING has to change.

I m looking at you Mitch Barnhart.......

Its Rupp! Everyone needs to visit at least once. There are no bad seats in Rupp for a UK game. Far as events only real problems is the beverage lines can take up little more time than I would like. Restrooms are like most event restrooms longer lines bad smell but I think that is part of the experience.

Rupp arena was crawling with weirdos when I was there. There were people painted blue and pink and green and at least 10 batmen. Also, there was a plethora of young ladies that didn't check the weather forecast before they came out, because it was definitely not underwear weather when we were there. Also, the honest to god Chuck Norris was there. The real one. And you could even verify his existence yourself for the low low price of $95 and you got a signature souvenier for that same low price.

This venue was easy to get in and out of. It is spacious with tons of seating. It has a shopping center attached. However, with that said, the shops would not be the reason I would visit this place. It would either be because of an event or the food court on the lower level of the mall. With that said, it is still a nice place in a good location.
