I travel a lot for work, which leads to a lot of hotel stays. I can honestly say that there is not another hotel like The Langham...and yes they deserve the right to use "The" before "Langham" unlike some colleges! If you are looking at this review, you have most likely seen the other glowing reviews and insane awards: #1 Hotel in Chicago, Five-Star Award-Forbes, Five-Diamond, Best Five-Star in the US, so on and so forth.

When you go to book the hotel and see the price tag and think..."yeah all those accolades are great but is it worth it?" Yes, yes it is! They did not receive all those awards for simply charging X and having a gorgeous hotel. Their service is unmatched by any hotel I have ever visited. Yes their rooms, their hotel, everything about The Langham speaks to elegance and luxury. That being said, their service is over the top. They will make sure your stay with them is memorable and worthy of another. Do yourself a favor, pamper yourself, and book your next hotel stay at The Langham!

Beautiful hotel. Stopped in to their bar with some friends for some drinks on a Sunday afternoon. We loved their 90's inspired theme drinks. If you're looking for more of a quiet area to chat with friends and have a fun drink, this was perfect.

don't forget your wallet you're really going to need it

We had an amazing experience at The Langham. The public spaces were beautiful, we great views of the river and the buildings south. The service was fantastic, and everyone was very pleasant. Breakfast was above any other hotel breakfast I've eaten, with a selection of waffles, eggs, oatmeal, bacon, and others. We also enjoyed the hors d'oeuvres and drink hour (who wouldn't!), and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks were available all day.

The room was beautiful. Spacious sleeping area and bathroom, with a waterfall shower head, along with a normal shower head and bath. The wardrobe and bathroom were marble floor. I had two nights of great sleep from both a comfortable bed and very quiet environment. And the privacy wall between the bedroom and bathroom - normally clear, but becomes opaque by clicking a button - was pretty slick.

Good location, great staff. Consistent with other Langham properties I've been too.

Fantastic rooms when we stayed and the staff were kind and courteous. Definitely will stay again when downtown for a weekend getaway.

First class service from check in to check out. The hotel was beautifully maintained. The staff was both inviting and helpful.

The Club area was well worth the extra money. From the breakfast in the morning, to the tea in the afternoon, to cocktails and small bites in the evening...Everything was well prepared and first class service was always given.

Will definitely be staying here again.

Stay away. Was forced to stay here to avoid a cancellation fee of $400 for a full night's stay plus all taxes. Do not book a reservation if you are a professional with regular schedule changes.

Top rated hotel in Chicago for good reason. Very rwfined

I have sent them an Email so to make a reservation. Months now later and no response. First time this happened to me. A luxury acclaimed hotel brand which does not respond to the emails. I am from Europe and I generally find European Palaces and luxury hotels much friendlier than the US ones. However, I just received a reply today from a member of the staff that made me feel that The Langham Chicago is the best hotel with the best service in Chicago. Very professional reply. I ve already booked another hotel prior to their reply but next time I will stay at The Langham. Thank you Suzanna see you soon you have regained my trust in you. Auf Wiederluege.

Stayed in the Infinity Suite. Phenomenal space. The details from the placement of the vases on the table to mirror the imagery on the ceiling -- on point.

Upon checkin, we were escorted to our room, they acknowledged me by name and used an open palm when showing me a direction.

I loved being able to hand the doorman my room key and having him check me out as I dashed to the office.

This is definitely a luxurious hotel so my expectations were as such. I loved when I called the concierge and asked her the hours the closest Target she anticipated my question and said 'Looking it up right now.'

The food of the room service was the best.

Here are my only concerns:
-The bathtub stopper in my room didn't work.
-One of the sinks in my bathroom was clogged.
-Even though I bought a spa package upon check-in I wasn't allowed to use it at a later date?

Still one of the best hotels in Chicago.

You pay for the posh and location, but worth the amount you pay.

Our suite was a dream. The decor so tasteful that I would set up my own home 1 to 1 like that. The location was excellent. ..... We were guests in this hotel some time ago. I must say I have never again had such a house with this quality. Also at much higher rates .......

Fabulous hotel. They get all the details from the cleanliness and features of the rooms to the professionalism of the staff. One of my favorite hotels.

The gym is well equipped. Room service quality and presentation is top notch. The restaurant on the lobby floor is wonderful. Interesting food prepared well at a reasonable price.

Quite a lavish place. Drinks and service are exceptional.

Visited The Langham Chicago for a wedding. The staff were friendly, the rooms were stunning, the view was wonderful and the food was high quality and delicious.

Just simply one of the best hotels in the world! Rooms are amazing, staff is perfect. The attention to detail is fantastic. In the age of Coronavirus the safety and precautions taken are phenomenal. They're very careful. We also ordered a lot of room service and the food was AMAZING. Oysters, calamari, chicken, salad, eggs florentine, omelets, everything. The cocktails were also excellent. Would very much like to go back!

The Langham is a perfect hotel that pays attention to all the details. We loved our stay and will be back.

We always come here for Easter brunch. Exceptional value, service, and hotel. They discontinued the bottomless mimosas package which I would like to see them bring back. The guitarist and piano player are wonderful to listen to while you dine and walk around from each brunch station.

The fanciest place I'll ever be but I'll never get to stay.

The Langham Chicago was a fantastic hotel. The location was very close to everything we wanted to do, and the room was even better than expected. The room was spacious and clean. We loved it so much that we weren't bummed out that we spent way too much time in the hotel room because of the cold weather. Room service was also delicious and fast (30 minutes after ordering on new years eve). Our only complaint is that valet parking was too expensive ($71 a night) and we don't know Chicago well enough to find cheaper parking. Overall, a great hotel and we will definitely stay here again when we visit Chicago.

Absolutely the best hotel in Chicago. The rooms are immaculate. The service is beyond impressive. I walked it, was greeted, escorted to the reception desk, escorted to my room, and every employee called me by name for the duration of my say. This truly is a 5* hotel to the extreme. I felt not only at home, but also like a Saudi Prince.

Super nice room. Very comfortable. The bathroom has a privacy glass thing that makes me feel like I'm on the Enterprise.

3 night stay -The bed is very comfortable, spacious shower with rainfall head, ambient city noise is quiet at this location. The stay seemed very private in terms of running into other guests in hallways and elevators.

Exceptional and amazing place!
Everything is new, great service with personal touch.
Location is great as well, only 5 minutes walking to the center of Michigan Avenue.
We got a huge room with a river view, 55" TV, Bose sound system, nice sitting area and huge bathroom with double sink, and separate toilet and shower.
Turn-down service was great as well, paying attention to the smallest details.
Breakfast was pricey, but excellent as well, with a lot of choices.
Room Tip: Ask for a a River View room.

High Tea is amazing. Live harpist was playing when I last frequented this establishment. Highly recommend.

Attentive staff make going to high tea at The Langham feel like your Chicago royalty. Great for Sunday tea with the family, girls social hour or daddy-daughter date.

Not much of a view as you're basically at street level, but the inside is so beautifully deigned you won't notice.

Wow! Worthy of a celebrity and from what I hear, a good chance you'll see one! Amazing location, impeccable service, rooms are superb but beds almost too soft. Great bar and really good food (even room service). The bathroom is exactly what you wish you had at home. The Langham has thought of everything even down to the trademark scent when you walk in the front door. Definitely one of the best hotels in the country!

I used this destination for parking, it is very convenient since in downtown but man it is pricy, i guess it is normal for big city downtown parking

The langham was amazing. The spa is excellent. Spent Super Bowl weekend and i will defiantly go back. Buisness center has fast internet. Even met my favorite DJ. All in all great hotel.

We recently stayed for two nights. The service was top notch and the precautions they take for Covid make you feel safe... The staff goes out of its way to make your entire stay great!

The bar is stocked with an impressive assortment of spirits. They make a great old fashioned.

Amazing place. We visited Chicago for a Labor Day weekend and stayed here for a three nights. Exceptional service in every way possible, great food and drinks. Extra clean, beautiful interior. They will go above and beyond to make you comfortable. Definitely recommended. Also, it is for sure located in the best place possible.

You will get all of the perks of staying in a five-star hotel at this place. Every detail is thought of. The staff is very professional and friendly. My husband I love staying here and only wish our stay would have been longer. We will definitely be staying in The Langham on another visit.

We went to The Travelle for Restaurant Week. It was a great time. The food and service were great.

Awesome luxury hotel. It's the best I have ever been. From the moment you set foot in the front entrance to the moment you leave, you're treated like a valued customer. The room we stayed in on the club Langham floor was immaculate and nicely decorated with modern theme throughout. The swimming pool was very relaxing. I recommend paying a little bit of extra to get the Club Langham lounge access. The breakfast buffet & evening hors d'oeuvres was very good and they include decent selection of alcohol as well. To top it off, the view from the lounge is very, very good, too.

Our 10 year anniversary staycation here was unforgettable. The suite was beautiful, comfortable, luxurious and the spa the most relaxing, rejuvenating experience I ve had to date. Everyone was uber friendly and welcoming. I found myself missing it weeks later. We will be back!
