Avoid at all costs,

Avoid at all costs,
In 2021, I contacted TLPI regarding the possibility of transferring my British Energy/EDF pension into my LTD company. During the process, I was instructed to contact my pension scheme provider (Mercer, now Aptia) to obtain a final transfer value and seek financial advice. The initial response from Mercer took over three months, and while the projected value was initially ok, by the time I received the final figure, it had dropped to over half it's—a sum deemed insufficient for the transfer. I was explicitly informed that I could withdraw from the process at any time. Upon realising the significant drop in value, I clearly instructed TLPI to halt the process until the valuation increased. Despite my explicit request, TLPI proceeded to set up the account against my wishes. In 2023, I was shocked to receive a statement from TLPI demanding over £4,900 and informing me that HMRC had been notified. When I challenged this charge, TLPI claimed that all correspondence had been sent to my previous address. However, I had received the contract package at my correct and current address, making this explanation entirely unacceptable. More alarmingly, I have now discovered that TLPI has obtained a CCJ against me without any prior notification, communication, or opportunity to defend myself. This is deeply concerning and appears to be a serious breach of due process. Furthermore, I was clearly informed during a video call discussion regarding the SSAS (a recording of which I have obtained through a SAR request) that I could withdraw my application and receive a full refund within 11 months of accepting the arrangement. My request to stop the process was made well within this timeframe, yet I was never reminded of this policy, and my withdrawal was not honoured. Despite my repeated attempts to request validation of the charges, TLPI has been unresponsive. When I challenged both the charge and the CCJ, I was met with dismissive and unprofessional responses, including an email stating that they were “getting a little tired” of my contact. I was simply told, in an informal manner, that they had reviewed my claim, determined they were correct, and that I had no choice but to pay. The outstanding charge has now exceeded £10,000, and I have no clear breakdown of how this amount has accumulated. The only so-called "support" offered was a demand for payments of over £700 per month, which is entirely unaffordable for me. I am deeply distressed, at a complete loss, and fearful that bailiffs will come to seize the few belongings I have. This entire process has been handled in an unjust and unreasonable manner, and I urgently seek guidance on how to challenge this situation. I have a catalogue of all e-mails issued by myself and the few received. Regarding correspondents, Tlpi admitted that all relevant documentation including intent to request a CCJ were sent to the incorrect address, my current address has been used by Tlpi to issue the initial documents. Horrendous treatment Avoid, avoid, avoid.
