This year's Christmas panto is Peter Pan like you have never seen before. The story is for the kids but the jokes are for the adults. It has an amazing talented cast and you will get a great show. So groan, laugh, boo the villian and cheer for the hero. It is all about having fun and listen to some good music.
Very pretty theater with lots of great places to eat with in walking distance. The traffic in Laguna Canyon can be bad and parking can be tuff, but there are shuttles you can take. Free parking is available across the street from the theater if you can get to it. The sight lines to the stage are good but there is not much drop between rows in the mezzanine. Make sure the guy in front of you is short. All the plays we have seen there have been very good with great staging.
The 1 in Laguna Beach, CA was absolutely phenomenal I love to a customer service was incredible I will only go here from now on! They made my 30th birthday absolutely amazing!
I saw my favorite band, Rockapella, at this venue. The ushers were attentive, the box office folks were friendly, and they sell refreshments during intermission, which you can enjoy outside on their nice patio or bring it into the house as long as the drink is covered. I hope Rockapella returns to this venue! The band members seemed to enjoy being there.
The venue is on the smaller side. My HS theater was larger, but that adds a bit to the charm. Because it's so small there isn't a bad seat in the house. I was kinda surprised they used stage mics for a play, but being the youngest patron by nearly 20yrs explained it.
The drinks and snacks offered are as expensive as going to the LA Opera without being as high quality. And that's why I can't give the venue 5 stars.
There isn't a bad seat in the house. Ok maybe a couple at the balcony. Theater is small, intimate. Shows always seem to provide great actors. Ticket prices are reasonable. So I take a chance on plays I wouldn't normally choose. I've not been disappointed.
My first time at the Laguna playhouse .... wonderful theater very comfortable very accommodating excellent where ever you sad to see the performance ,,,, GIRLS NIGHT !! I went with one of my friends and all we did was laugh and dance and sing and it was so age-appropriate I would say for like all women especially people 50 and above. It was so nice with this day and age to be able just to be free and able to laugh and smile and leave a performance feeling so good excellent cast great performance the actresses were amazing and I love the story I would definitely go again
Great program. THE CARPENTERS REMEMBERED. If you liked their music you will love this show. Very well done.
The venue is the best anywhere.
We had good seats and enjoyed the evening.
We took the Laguna beach trolley to the Playhouse from The Ritz Carlton and back again after the show.
I wish the city of Laguna would keep it going all year.
Upscale and a delight. Parking can be challenging so plan ahead. Full bar. Comfortable seating, clean bathrooms. Friendly and helpful staff .Make sure you eat before the show they only offer sweet snacks. Great entertainment and good memories. You will love this place.
First rate productions. I've seen some truly amazing plays here. Great sets. Actors like Melanie Griffith with Dakota Johnson in the Lobby. Cool Venue.
