The restaurant would be rated higher but the venue as a whole lost points based upon our room. The restaurant food was very nice with good size portions. The staff in the restaurant, bar and hotel were all very friendly and polite. The room we stayed in however could use more lighting and was very hot even with the windows fully open. It was also quite noisy as it was above the kitchen and a/c units. We would stay again but would ask for a different room.

We spent 3 nights at Kings Inn and it was a very pleasant stay in a comfortable hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Lucy who organised our tour of Cotswold village with fantastic taxi driver Mark. You're a star Mark. The food at Jack Rabbit restaurant was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay.

The only pros about this stay was that the staff were all very friendly and the food in the restaurants was excellent. The hotel itself was old and tired. decor was very worn and needed an update. Our room was even more old and tired. It reminded me of the kind of place I would have stayed in when I was in my twenties and wanted to splurge. The day was very warm, and the room was probably 80 degrees when we entered, as it had no AC. Thank goodness there was a fan and we were able to get one of the windows to open. This room was sorely over priced without the Cotswolds class. When in the Cotswolds, B&B's are the way to go.

A charming hotel in the middle of town with very welcoming staff! Walk down to the cozy breakfast dining hall in the morning to choose from a spread of pastries and traditional english breakfast options.

Perfectly placed in the centre of town, beautiful interior, attentive calm staff and an incredibly comfortable bed (room 110 - small but perfectly lovely, bathroom with bath, perhaps a paint refresh and some finer touches for those paying More

Utterly dreadful food - devoid of all character, utterly steless and cooked in a desultory fashion. The menu in its entirity was utterly dire - it didn't appear anything was worth bothering with.

We were dining early ahead of a concert at the music festival, and their restaurant was opening specially. Talk about abusing a captive audience.

The staff agreed the food was dire when we complained (two other tables complained as well) but the only excuse was that it somehow gets better after six. We ordered at 5:30 so the 'excuse' barely applies, in my opinion.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. We'd have done better with a bag of chips.

The hotel is brilliantly presented and the staff are friendly and welcoming. They allowed us an early check in as we had a wedding that day to attend and the room was free before hand. The bedroom was well furnished and clean, although very warm. The heating was on full blast!
The only criticism I have of the room was there weren't any plug sockets by the bed to charge a phone. Instead they were on the floor at the other end.
The breakfast was great, pouched eggs had to be the best I've had yet. However serving breakfast on a black plate is not for everyone. Yuk!

We didn t stay but we have just eaten the most gorgeous Sunday lunch. Such a lovely atmosphere, lovely and clean. Staff were super friendly and the roast dinner was the best I have eaten out in a long while. The roast potatoes were delicious!
Patrizio deserves a special mention...really welcoming, friendly and funny. Thank you all very much

Lovely hotel situated right in the centre of Chipping Campden, very close to many other pretty Cotswold towns & villages.

Lovely bedroom, excellent food. Staff are friendly, helpful and appear to be genuinely interested.

We really enjoyed staying there and would happily stay again in the future.

Lovely setting and amazing quality food but portion sizes are ridiculous. I am all for smaller portions with increased quality food but even other diners were asking where he rest of their dinner was. Service was excellent.

Fair option in the center of town. Room was overpriced and small. Funny thing is that the shower was probably on the the biggest one I ever used... but the sink was so small that it would overflow as soon as you d turn water on. Bizarre use of the space!

Quaint old hotel in a picturesque village. Staff friendly, however a fair amount of noise coming from outside which was surprisingly noisy at night. Enjoyed my stay and breakfast was lovely, just needs to be a bit more sound proof.

Booked for Christmas with my wife and daughter. Absolutely brilliant . Breakfast, morning coffee, full lunch (Christmas lunch was superb), afternoon tea & then dinner! Staff were great, couldn't do enough for us & especially our daughter. Christmas gift included + reindeer food... If you want to get away for a few days over this period, then look no further for a hotel.

The room we had was nice however only had a freestanding bath in the bathroom meaning that if you wish to just have a shower it was one handed and stood holding a shower head, bath was chipped and a bit tired need reviewing urgently and is disappointing for the money. Breakfast was nice and hotel bar good unfortunately was spoiled by a rude young waitress that first shrugged when we asked for a champagne bucks fizz and then told us it was" shortly to early for that" then brought the wrong tabels breakfast to us and when we prompted her that this wasn't what we had ordered she replied with "are you sure " this is not what I expect from a saff member anywhere. Other than that the place has the potential to impress sadly just not me.

Well, they need to come out to Derbyshire to learn about fine dining and maybe submit a dress code, trainers and ripped jeans isn't the place for a fine dining restaurant. Noisy, loud kids shouldn't be allowed either so we won't be dining there anymore. The cheese board wasn't that great anyway. Nothing special about the food, so compare with other fine dining restaurants before booking here.

All hotels I have stayed in the village are very old so none of them is very quiet as you can hear noise from the corridor and the street. Take a pair of earplugs and you will be fine. The room is very clean but can get really hot during the summer. The restaurant is lovely. Very small TV.

more than welcoming Hotel. Inserted in the historical part of the country. Comfortable rooms, bathroom with a nice and functional shower. It has a garden that seemed very well looked after from the window. Professional and kind staff at the same time without falling into that detachment that is sometimes found traveling. Excellent breakfast.
