I hired Melissa Hoffman Spears after my divorce, because I needed a great attorney to clean up someone else's mess...
After researching and then hiring a well respected firm with a partner who had experience and knowledge with disability pensions, I found myself with a MSA which was worthless regarding my negotiated full disability pension. Somehow my disability pension was being cut in half yet my MSA said I was to get the full amout. When I advised that attorney to fix it, they just pointed fingers and became combative with me.
Then I met Melissa Hoffman Spears. She took a look at the paperwork and immediately pointed out the problem. She addressed solutions and when defendant's attorney was trying to bully her, Melissa politely put an end to the madness.
Melissa has a kind and serene approach to very difficult topics. She keeps her client's calm and she is a quiet fighter. I do not know what I would do without her. My only regret is that I did not start with her to begin with. I would have saved a ton of money and had piece of mind. If you have any type of divorce issue, Melissa is your best bet. Melissa listens, Melissa looks at all the facts and Melissa above all else is honest with you and tells you the truth. She also knows the court system and knows her way around the courtroom too. Today we just had to go back for a motion and we were very impressed with her.
