Beautiful and quiet little spot. Ice cream and food is yummy.
Nice little hole in the wall place for a summer road trip. Amazing icecream and friendly staff.
Super fun little museum with Icelandic heritage, with a coffee shop selling some traditional Icelandic foods and ice cream
Great food and treats, awesome place for a fun afternoon!
The creamery goes into the history of how the location worked back when the area was a settlement of the Dutch community
We used the little chpel to get married there in 2009 beautiful grounds, fun for kids, great sandwiches and real ice cream!
Didn't expect it to be this good. The museum is small but well done. Best part is the little cafe/ice cream shop which serves authentic food and monster scoops of delicious ice cream.
Great little place to visit. Make sure you have some ice cream!
The perfect place to enjoy a fantastic hard Ice cream cone
Lovely timestamped museum in a lovely little hamlet.
So quaint, so quiet , just a short trip on excellent roads, friendly people and great no sugar added ice cream , glad I made it part of my country drive.
I love their ice cream! It s, so far, the best ice cream I ve ever had. There s a variety of flavours to choose from. This place is very peaceful and quiet. If you are looking for a place to unwind and cool down in a hot summer weather then this is the perfect spot.
Great place to take the kids for ice cream and to play in the little red barn. We go a few times throughout the summer and always get excited for opening day.
Nice little historic creamery in rustic Markerville.
Always a fun place to take the kids and get ice cream and play.
It is fun and interesting. The food was great and ice cream yummy.
The whole family got a tone of some of the best icecream around. Two scoops for me was almost too much for one sitting!!
A quaint very historical spot!! Nicely restored with a cute cafe inside the main building. A great off the beaten path stop to take a breath and check out the history..
Nice little stopover to learn about Alberta history
It was fantastic . So much local history . Wonderful old building being looked after with love and care . Great gifts . Marvelous hand made quilts to admire . Love the cookie walk .
Very good self directed tour. Lots of information about the Area and local history.
If you haven't been here, your life is not complete. When you get the tour, be sure to as about the bats in the attic, and get them to show you how flammable the water is. Skip the ice cream and get the vinarterta you'll thank me later.
Wonderful place for small family gatherings or small weddings
There are no attractions in the small village, only old!
Had no idea about this place! What a wonderful surprise to come across on a lazy drive through the prairies on a Saturday afternoon.
Went with friends to Markerville for some ice cream but have arrived late; they are only open from 10am to 5pm. Despite that, we still had a wonderful time. It is a very small place/town, but is rich in history. We also loved the peace and quite and the kids enjoyed playing around the Creamery. Will be coming back to enjoy their ice cream and see what is inside the old creamery.
Charming bit of history just a short drive away. We had some ice cream from the museum shop and were amazed at the amount and price - and taste!
Unique little museum, something you will not see anywhere else.
Great place for sightseeing a piece of history with the family while enjoying, in my opinion the best ice cream around.
Came for the Show n Shine and Cream Day.
The weather wasnt fantastic, but still we had an amazing time!
The kids loved the face painting, balloon animals, the races, and especially the milk can ride.
We loved the pie and ice cream and all the great interactive learning booths.
Thanks for an amazing day :)
Great historical site still in operation. Go for a tour, stay for a tea or coffee and learn a bit about the settlement of Icelanders in the area.
They were having a car show and other celebrations when we were there. With all the fun events we did not get into the creamery. Lot of history to see. The icecream was awesome.
Great place to visit. The cafe is nice. Good Ice cream, and the egg salad sandwich was delicious, I recommend the Icelandic bread.
Remember this place from childhood. Still enjoy going there and grabbing ice cream. Last trip was the first in quite a while but that ice cream was the best ever. Great job you guys. Ps do you sell your ice cream in buckets?
friendly ,,well worth the visit,, historic community
Awesome historical location that informs and teaches you about a creamy and how cream is separated from milk and then how butter is made. Then you can have ice cream right there and enjoy the history behind it. I was here 20 years ago and it was enjoyable now as it was then. I would recommend coming here if you can make your way here. There are some interesting activities to participate in and other interactive things. Lots of seating to relax on and a bridge to cross over to a beautiful park area.
Amazing little piece of history...great ice cream and a museum in the shop commemorating the dairy industry history of the area and town. Romantic little place to add on your day trip
A nice little Creamery, I wish it wasnt as cold when we were there so we'd explore it a bit.
Nice place to visit. Great lunch and service. Friendly folk and quiet area for a walk.
Was such a cute place. Lots of care and love put into the whole community. Will be back for the views, quite and country life.
Excellent Day trip bring a lunch tho prices are expensive
Neat little place, food is great, ice cream so yummy
Hiking trails, Icelandic history, river access, gorgeous old church, creamery museum, kid friendly area and ice cream. Lovely little town.
The Long Table was an amazing show of community working together! I'm proud to be part of it.
