Edit: this review is for Lons at Hermosa Inn.

One of our favorites places to eat. It is tucked away and secluded. The food is very good and the chef is no slouch. My advice is to ask for the back patio "Hideaway". They have seating in the front, inside and back patio. All are great but feels more secluded in the back. I recommend the seared ahi as a starter. You cannot go wrong with any of their entrees and my recommendation is the cowboy candy bar for dessert. Cocktails are also great but beware that the house mule comes with a lot of kick. Take you significant other for a romatice dinner and enjoy.

The Hermosa Inn is wonderful! We loved everything about it! Our room was great, very comfortable and very clean. The grounds are beautiful and well tended. We loved the restaurant. Delicious food! The staff was fabulous! Everyone that works there is friendly and accommodating! They all go the extra mile to make it a great stay. There is attention to detail. They even provided fresh baked cookies every evening. One of our best vacations, thanks to the Hermosa Inn!!

My favorite brunch place in Phoenix area ! Food is delicious with a touch of Southwest influences. Blue crab cakes are so spectacular. I had short rib hash which was incredibly 'melt-in-your-mouth and guest had huevos rancheros with delicious changes from the usual dish. The staff are all wonderfully attentive and responsive without being at all.intrusive. The setting is beautiful under large old trees with lots of shade, fountains and lots of colorful flowers. We couldn't refrain from asking server to take our pix. The building was the home/studio of an artist whose works are inside. All very AZ old West focus. Been several times for dinner and Lon's remains still my favorite for all the same reasons above. I love it so much that I planned to have 60th birthday party in the 'Libraey' room but unfortunately my husband died a couple of months before and couldn't bear to have a party that we had planned together. Perhaps for the seven-year! Never have had an unpleasant time there. It's very much a southwest paradise. After dining take a stroll around the lush property.

A charming hotel to escape; calm and fullness!
The casitas are real suites way west and Lon Megargee accompanies you everywhere.
The reception is excellent and the staff very professional.
For the pleasures of mouth, the kitchen of the restaurant will delight you and the wine list is extraordinary! Not to taste one of the many Arizona wines would be very unfortunate.

Went to Lon's for cocktails and dinner. The location is beautiful! We were disappointed with the food and the cocktails were just ok. Overall, the view and the atmosphere would bring me back again, but just drinks not dinner.

Excellent deal on chef tasting menu for $49 and wine pairing additional $20.

Dungeness crab cucumber gazpacho, smooth and cool, perfect for the hot Phoenix weather.

Smoked pork short ribs, saw she smoke rings, tender and seasoned well.

Passion fruit style semifreddo, plated beautifully and a great light finisher with the mascot paired

Excellent rooms, atmosphere and food. You forget quickly that you are in the middle of the city. Great getaway for couples. Only negative was that the food was some times slow to get out. Highly recommend.

As an Arizona native I appreciated all of the AZ decor and theme. This includes a fantastic local wine and beer selection. The food was stellar, my wife and I were both very satisfied with the quality and flavor or the Filet Mignon, Tristan Lobster Tail, and the tiger shrimp. The staff and service was excellent as well, couldn't be happier. We will return soon.

I've been here quite a few times now, it's another Phoenix Classic! They have a unique menu with fresh items that are different from other restaurants. Different, but really good! Sitting on the patio is the only way for me because it is such a beautiful environment. Valet parked our vehicle when I went for brunch on a Sunday after making reservations earlier that same day. They seated us right away and the staff is always amazing here! One of my favorite places to eat in the valley!

Very lovely resort with many amenities and superb rooms! The check-in process is very smooth and the staff made sure I was comfortably situated in Lon's while I waited on my room. The Casita's are private and large and each one has it's own porch, and the baths are spacious as well and very up to date. The restaurant and bar serve exceptional fare. Overall, a AAA+++ experience and I will be back.
