Amazing food, service and atmosphere! We dined here for my daughter's birthday and would definitely recommend! She received birthday wishes on at least 4 occasions from the staff members. Our server, Zach, paid close attention to anything needed and was on the ball the entire time! The food was amazing - we had calamari, the baked chicken, salmon and crab cakes (my daughter said the crab cakes were the best she'd ever had :))...and even a special birthday dessert treat! We plan to return again in the near future!

Excellent place.

Excellent place.
Interesting selections and wide variety. You will have your pick and not be disappointed. An older restaurant that drips with history and bird paintings!

The service and food was nothing less than outstanding! I arrived with my family for my birthday and was immediately greeted with a Happy Birthday from the host. This was our first time dining here and we will definitely be back, especially for our waiter Zachary. He was very kind, attentive and made sure to tell me Happy Birthday a few times that evening. The atmosphere was amazing, the food was more than exceptional and the dessert (with a birthday candle on top) made the evening very special. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Quintessential American restaurant in the heart of DC. Delicious gnocchi infused with several flavors that meshed well. The catfish tasted like a homey flavor, great combo of spices.

Also loved the vibe of the restaurant. Dress can be formal or casual.

Because of busy dinner time on a Saturday night, my friend and I were seated at the bar area and did not get a chance to see the inner spots of the restaurant itself. Came to visit DC for a weekend and love the ambiance of the restaurant and accessible location. I ordered the crab cake sandwich, which I found to be mediocre and slightly dry. However I got the tuna tartar and my friend got the spring pasta dish. I was able to sample her dish and it was definitely on point. The tuna tartar was very flavorful too, though they can lighten on the soy sauce which made it too salty for an after taste. Staff were super friendly and this place overall had excellent service. I would definitely come again if I am in town to check out more of their menu items. Another disclosure that is not related to the restaurant. It certainly feels a bit sketchy at night since there was a suspicious van loitering around. At one point, the doors opened and you can see a bunch of teens smoking weed inside and asking restaurant patrons that are in the outdoor seating if they wanted a hit, opening an invitation into a dark, windowless van. That struck to me as a shady looking neighborhood despite being in the center of all the tourist attractions and central area so be alert in the area at night.

Awesome sushi happy hour for both evening & late nite. Kitchens that stay opened late in D.C, are hard to find that deliver on both guest satisfaction and the right ambience. Definitely a most visit, prefect for date night, business meeting,etc..

First time going was during the pandemic for dinner. Super friendly staff. Food and drinks are phenomenal. Cozy ambiance I love booth seating it's intimate/private yet communal. I was able to enjoy the salmon entree, firecracker sushi, wings appetizers, and the apple cider cocktail and the sweet kisses cocktail. New favorite!
