Stopped on my way to Niagara Falls for dinner with my girlfriend. I ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich, was top notch and had a hint of maple flavor. My girlfriend ordered their veggie burger, raving about the sweet potato fries and gouda Mac and cheese. As a vegan she is rather hard to please, do it is noteworthy that their waitstaff was so accommodating to her needs. Would reccomend and visit again!

Best food in the area!! Next time I visit Niagara I will eat here every day

I think the test of any business is whether or not they have a consistently good product. I love the Griffon restaurants, but manage to go to one or the other, only a few times a year. Yet, the food is always great, and service is always fast and pleasant. I love these restaurants, but I always have to make reservations. They're busy!

Do you remember when this place more or less started out as The Village Pub? Pepperidge Farm remembers! That aside, everything these owners touch turns to gold. Each location has killer food, great drinks, and awesome staff. You'll never have a bad experience at The Griffon Gastropub.

I've visited this place twice now with my wife, and we agree that it's the best restaurant in Niagara Falls NY. Entrees beat out the best steakhouses in Mississauga ON, though I found the dessert too sweet for my liking.

The Kona coffee steak was simply out of this world. I can't imagine ordering anything else from now on, but I must resist the temptation and try some of the other things on the menu! My wife ordered the surf and turf burger both times, and it's delicious enough that she doesn't even fancy trying other items.

We usually eat at the Griffon House in lewiston. Never a bad meal, there great staff,nice atmosphere. We tried the one in Niagara Falls and it was very disappointing. We were sat right next to the bar area and it was so loud and obnoxious we could barely hear eachother talk, wait staff was slow and stood around talking to other people, had the surf n turf burger and it was not that appetizing. The crab and lobster cake was so mushy with no flavor and the burger was overdone,i thought they used more high end products i guess i was wrong, if that wasn't enough at the end of our meal our waitress gave us half of our change back and then we had to deal with that. My stomach was turning the rest of the night. Very disappointed!!! We will stick with Griffon House . But now im turned off completely.

We came in as a group of 13...and let me tell you the staff handled it with such class and professionalism that I needed to compliment the entire staff from the front to the back.....the entire experience was perfect.....we are from Florida and just happen to be visiting the Falls and was told by the family that surrounded us that night that we must eat at the Griffon...and I am so glad we did....again thanks for making our night very memorable.

Food was really good, service was ok. Bartenders friends at the end of the bar were loud, rude and disrespectful.

My son in law had a Kangaroo burger and loved it! All our food was very good! Service was extra awesome too!

The fish was delicious. I also really liked the number of beers that they had on tap as well as the number of sizes you could get.

Food was great. A little disappointed, I searched the menu prior to going to this restaurant and some of food items listed on internet were not on the menu. Overall pretty good. Rick was a good bartender.

The food was amazing, but we were surprised to know you needed reservations. The staff accomodated us without a reservation, but you should call ahead. :)

I have been to the Griffon a few times and it has been pretty spot on and my expectations have always been met. We decided to go for the first time last night in a while. I'd say without knowing exactly, that it has been at least two years.

We made a reservation at for 5:45p and arrived a few minutes early. The host was gracious when she greeted us and was able to seat us immediately. Our server was friendly and helpful. The overall service at the Griffon was really good.

The management at the restaurant has created a touchless/contact less ordering and paying system that will satisfy anyone who may be concerned with germs or virus protection.

Now the food... I ordered the filet medallions, they came out faster than I anticipated and were cooked to the temperature as I had requested. The taste was exceptional and the portion was perfect. The mashed potatoes were plentiful and the asparagus was good enough for someone (me) who doesn't even love asparagus to still enjoy.

My wife ordered the chicken caprese and complemented the entire meal she had. We both shared a little with each other and gave it a thumbs up.

If you are considering eating here and you are hesitant because you may not want to bring your kids to a bar/pub style restaurant, don't worry. The Griffon is very kid friendly and the staff treats them very well.

Overall this place has always done a great job and again managed to exceed my expectations. Keep up the good work!

Great spot! Food was delicious and exactly as described by our personable and professional waiter. Reasonable cost and all round positive experience. Wish we could visit more often but a perfect "road trip find."

Great atmosphere great food and micro brews. Ask for Scott behind the bar he won't steer you wrong on a good beer. Excellent place to watch the sabers game!!

Upscale food in a relaxed atmosphere. The char-gilled honey chipotle wings were the best wings I've ever had. Can't wait to go back!

Seating was horrible and asked for a nice booth when made reservation. Right behind host stand. Food good.

We went on a Wednesday night. We were seated right away and our waitress was very attentive and welcoming. She encouraged us to ask questions. The wait for the food wasn't too bad. I had the beef on weck it was DELICIOUS. A fresh homemade bun really put it over the top. The fries with the bbq dry rub were GREAT and I am picky about my fries. I absolutely recomend.

Excellent. The vegan burger is superb, my boyfriend raved about the bacon jam burger, the atmosphere is comfortable, pleasant... just a really good place to eat. The beer selection outstanding and so is the staff. We will be regulars here.

One thing- it did NOT occur to me to have to ASK about whether or not the onion rings on the vegan burger were vegan. You can not call a meat, dairy and egg free product vegan if it has a non vegan item on top. I am new to veganism, so I forget that cooks/restaurants make mistakes in the language. It is VEGETARIAN if it has ANY animal product on it. I will ask to have the fried onions left off next time.

Food was excellent if you have time to wait for it!

The food is awesome! If you were to judge it by it's outward appearance, you would drive by it all the time. But the inside is beautiful.

Stopped in for amid afternoon meal during a road trip from NH to Michigan. Love getting this lucky. Great food, excellent service, and reasonable prices. The location and outside of the building may make you pause but the inside is very nice and extremely clean. Highly recommend this place!

It was very disappointing. Usually very good but ordered calamari tonight and it was sitting in about 3 tablespoons of grease at the bottom of the bowl hot peppers had stems on them. Asparagus was very disappointing as well

Oh my God! This place was so good. Came specifically for the poutine, which was amazing, but loved everything else too. A little pricey, but that's to be expected at a gastropub.

I can't say enough good things about this place, food is delicious, potstickers sauce is delightful, the corn fritter is more like a dessert but still very good. Waiting time is short, staff are super nice and attentive, even bathroom is nice. Totally worth the price.

Food was excellent. Started with potstickers then we had the medallions of sirloin and the black and blue steak and salad. Smithwick, a red irish ale, complimented it perfectly. Our server, Bradford, was attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.

It was my 1st time at The Griffon on Military Rd. It was recommended by a coworker for its fish fry. The customer service and ambiance was great and there was a good amount of customers too. A sign of a good restaurant, however, I was disappointed with my fish fry. It tasted like it was over cooked and/or re-warmed to me. Not sure if I'll go back but if I do I'll surely try a different entree than the fish fry.

Great panko chicken sandwich. The pub platter is awesome!

Was in Lewiston for the weekend walked up and Center Street checking out all the great restaurants here decided on the Griffin house what a great decision amazing food and atmosphere and people will definitely come back again

The whole team is amazing. Man Bun is the best bartender.. Ed and Ken are great owners with a wicked passion for food and beer!

This is definitely not my first visit nor will it be my last. There are no surprises, the food is always excellent! The time it took to get our meals was longer than, expected around an hour. Thanks to good conversation, laughter of friends and good food the time was well spent. The big hit at our table also noted a lot of the other guests was the Bacon Jam Burger no one had leftovers.

We stopped by here while on a trip into Canada from New Jersey. The chicken wings are the best I've ever had in any place where chicken wings are available.

We are taking another trip to Detroit this summer and are seriously contemplating driving an hour and a half out of the way just to stop back here again.
