I cant say enough good things about the wonderful staff at the goodman center in farragut. They have shown more compassion than any group I've ever had the experience of dealing with. Everyone from the owner to the receptionists have been perfect. We consider this group family and that's how they have made my family feel.I hope they continue to save lives. We love you all!!! The people at the Goodman Center are remarkable! They are a full-service mental health doctors office and they changed my life. The way they interact with their patients in with one another is outstanding. They truly care
If you really value your mental health, and your just your life in general; you would have a better chance at receiving help wearing an "I Hate Islam" tshirt in Afghanistan! By far the absolute worst "mental health" facility I have been to. I'm also still trying to understand how the "Clinical Director" of this facility can be a CONVICTED FELON who just got her license back last year, yet still be able to be a "practicing" physician!?
I personally have not been treated at the Goodman Center. However, my daughter was a patient for a brief time. I am angry, shocked and disheartened at how she was treated. Insurance wasn t paying a lot on her treatment.We paid on appointments with the therapist for medication management and also the therapist for cognitive behavior. My daughter has taken medication for an issue she was diagnosed with over 8 years ago by 2 psychiatrists in the city we lived in before relocation. When she explained to Her therapist she could not afford 2 people snd asked to see just one therapist she was told no. She was also told the medication she has been on needed to be stopped. My daughter had already stopped one of the meds but was anxious about this last one. Susan gave her a prescription for one last month, told her she knew giving up the medication was one of the plans and encouraged her to go back to her original therapist 2 states away. My concern is the lack of empathy. Individuals with mental health issues cannot just be dismissed.
I didnt read the reviews before I went to the goodman center. If I would have I wouldn't have wasted my time because the done me the same way. I knew he was asking me some kinda strange questions. Then I knew why, he started asking me about probation that I was on and my past history on drug use. I wasnt sure if i was seeing the phycatrist or a judge. He started judging me by my past history and would diagnose me like he should. I didnt know that they could pull up my criminal background and treat me like a criminal.
We have been going to the Goodman Center for many months seeing Adam. Adam has been wonderful in helping with our autistic son. The office staff are always been incredibly nice and helpful in making appointments and anything asked of them. It's a awesome place for what they do.
I'm grateful to this place as I came to them in a very dark point in my life. Had some addiction challenges, major depression, anxiety... and was able to get matched up with Susan, who helped me face and address these issues. Homework and some reading was involved, and I felt genuinely cared about as we powered through the causes of it all. To this day, three years later, I still see her to keep myself on track. We worked out a good medication schedule and I hope to continue to make this joint a continuing staple of my life. They care and give you the time and attention needed to better oneself. There may be some trial and error, and maybe you won't get back to perfect, but they're a wonderful starting place and can right your footing in life. Alcoholism, suicidal thoughts, drug abuse, anxiety... they're there to make it easier to manage. Massive props to their entire staff.
