The ride is just short of an hour even though that's what it advertises, I'd highly recommend asking your Gondolier for an extended ride. It will cost a little extra though

It was such an enjoyable and peaceful ride. Our Gondalier was nice and even sang a few songs for us.

An extremely informative and relaxing way to see the entire boundary of Long Beach and the surrounding area. Very comfortable and beautiful boat with very friendly staff. The views of lower Long Beach. The price was very reasonable for such an extensive tour.

We went on a one hour gondola ride with Fabio. It was a wonderful experience. Fabio did a great job. Customer service was beyond exceptional. We highly recommend this company for a gondola experience. It far exceeded our expectations and we look forward to returning

I remember the first time I went here....summer of 1995. I enjoyed it immensely and have gone back many times.

Tip: During the winter months, it much more cold than you might expect. Bring a blanket just in case. Also, bring your own picnic/dinner/lunch, sit back, and really enjoy it.

This was sooooo much fun and our gondaleer was extremely informative

Had an excellent time with my wife and won some major brownie points (you know what I mean gentlemen). Our gondolier was a great guy who did a good job of engaging and hanging back as well. He even busted out in song once which I didn't expect. Overall, great experience and time with my wife.

It was a perfect day in Long Beach, CA and this trip (the twilight cruise) was the ideal way to end the day. We got in line early to secure seats on the bow and were handsomely rewarded with spectacular views all around the bay. The boat goes around Alcatraz, over to Causality and then out under the Golden Gate as the sun goes down! Spectacular!

Had a really great and memorable time , Tim was our gondolier he sang under a bridge and made our night a night to remember everyone was nice and we even received a picture at the end. A must do if your in long Beach

It was a perfect day to ride in a gondola. Our experience was very pleasant and enjoyable. The residents along the canals are very friendly and wave as you pass.

I proposed to my girlfriend during this trip. It was a sunset cruise, it was cloudy but when it got dark it was gorgeous. Nice people too.

Fabio, our gondolier, is actually from Italy! He was so sweet and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful gondola ride for our wedding anniversary. We brought a bottle of bubbly and cheese & crackers with fruit. Such a great, romantic voyage!

Quite possibly the most romantic experience in Long Beach! A real live gondolier will take you on a leisurely ride in Naples canals in a real live gondola! You have to request a singing gondolier in order to have a singing gondolier, unless you're lucky and the one on duty that day happens to be a singing gondolier. It's not a deal breaker for the ride, unless you're expecting to be sung to, and there is no singing. Do some research! Anyway, they offer a cheese plate to purchase, or you are more than welcome to bring your own food and drinks. The ride is about 45-60 minutes and it's so much fun. If you bring your honey I sure hope you like kissing as it is traditional to kiss as you go under bridges.

What a Great experience! Took my girlfriend for her birthday and we had a awesome time! The Gondolier also sang to us twice, both in italian. plan on going again during Christmas Time!

It is a Beautiful place to go for an anniversary. You can also bring your Family and have a Family Night with up to 14 people inside the Gandola they have a big table for the Family and freinds and you get to be there for an hour. Staff are really friendly.

This place is great. Had my proposal there. had a message in a bottle which is a great idea they offer. They also sing for you.

I felt compelled to write this review. Yesterday, July 26, we had the joy of taking a gondola boat ride with this company. Let me tell you this was by far the best past time we ve had since living in So Cal for the last three years. This company is top notch from beginning to end. Torin was an absolute gem. Thank you Gondola Getaway for providing us with a memorable experience. Can t wait to do it all over again.

We had an amazing experience and evening with Parker from Gondola Getaway. Parker was/is a great host and has a beautiful voice. We were even lucky enough to have guest appearances from bioluminescent-creatures.
I would recommend this to everyone - couples to families for a relaxing and invigorating night. There's so much beauty out on the water - go enjoy it!

My husband scheduled this for the two of us back in Aug 2011. Upon booking the gondola ride he also ordered the cheese platter and had arranged for me to get a message in a bottle, retreived from the water. Both of the extras were forgotten. After returning to the dock my husband asked about them both, the girl behind the desk apologized and refunded our money without any question, but more importantly our gondolier knew nothing about the extras. In 2012 we vacationed to this area again and decided we would take our two children on this experience too, but this time we would book the 1 hr pizza dinner experience. Unfortunately we weren't able to bc you're required to have a party of at least 8-10 people or something and we only had 4 so we weren't eligible. A little disappointing, but overall our 2011 experience was neat.

Me and my husband went for an early Mother's Day ride and it was perfect! We both loved it. Timoteo even sang us a song under the oldest bridge and it was lovely. Good luck in Italy !

Its was so romantic.

My first gondola ride was when I was ten years old for my birthday with my friends and family. We had a big gondola with 2 gondoliers and it was one of my favorite bdays from childhood. I loved when the gondoliers sang underneath the bridges in Naples. We went recently for my nieces 11th bday. She s been taking singing lessons for the past 3 years and had an impromptu duet with a gondolier in another gondola. It was super cute and we all had the best time. We can t wait to do it again when the youngest gets older. I ve also done the gondola ride as dates. It s so romantic during sunset and in the evening.

A pretty good implementation of the far more famous Venetian one. Prices are not super cheap but tolerable with a Groupon. A nice relaxing experience with you loved ones, you can even bring or order food and alcohol to make it more memorable. The weather is usually not all that cold, so you can do this most time of the year.

Great all around. Romantic trip through Naples waterway with a beatiful song under a bridge. Josh (our gondola guide) was fantastic. You have to try it at least once.

I take my team out for an evening Gondola ride every year as a Thank you for their hard work.. Their Gondolas are actually authentic! They're made in Venice, Italy and shipped to Long Beach. The Gondoliers are super polite and helpful. A great thing to do for a special occasion or a special person.

This was a last minute date night idea. We couldn't have picked a better thing to do! We didn't know what to expect but Jack's service was beyond our expectations. Blankets we're provided for the chilly evening as well as a song sang to you under a bridge. Such a cool experience! Definitely worth trying something new. Bring drinks and snacks! P.S. Jack said he didn't have any photos of himself as a Gondolier, so now he does! :) Thanks for the lovely evening.

The architecture tour on board Long Beach is both informative and relaxing. The afternoon we spent on board was uncrowded and very civilised. Pleasant crew and knowledgeable guide meant that we came away not only far better educated about the city but feeling this was very good value for money. Very recommended compared to the alternatives.

Our gondoliere was Fabio. He made the expirence magical! He even sang happy birthday to me in Italian! I forgot I was in Long Beach for a minute.

It was such a wonderful expirence. I can't wait to come back around Christmas time with my family! Absolutely requesting Fabio again.
