Gross place to have your child. The turn over rate for hire is crazy. These people don't care about your kids and only care about money. My child was injured 3 times before even reported to me. There are situations where kids touched each other inappropriate and the daycare decided to keep it quiet. This is no t a good place to take your child.
I love the Giving Tree Learning Center. Everyone is so nice, and helpful and I trust them with my toddler. She learns so much there and comes home with more language each day! She is a quiet, more reserved child, and the teachers spend individual time with her to help her feel comfortable. I also am a single parent and appreciate the staff's sensitivity and flexibility with a co-parenting schedule. The Giving Tree also does the sweetest things for mother's day and father's day, and fun activities like ice cream socials and indoor camping! I'm so grateful. I wish my daughter could be more full time which before I had her, I never would have thought I'd want.
We have been happy with our time here. They have worked well with our other preschool (Valley View). Thank you for taking the time to thoughtfully explain any issues that have come up.
My wife and I enrolled our son when he was just 2 years old. She had searched high and low, interviewing several care facilities and we fell in love with the people at the Giving Tree, instantly. It's a matter of trust, bringing your child somewhere for a full day-every day. My wife had stayed home with him until this moment and she was a hot mess, love her!! Our expectations were high, we were nervous and most of all we needed comforting. Was he going to be ok? The what if's were overwhelming...how's the food? Nutrition is important! We were a little high maintenance and you know what, within a week we were so confident and comfortable with the Teachers and Stacey, the Owner that we were able to relax, focus on our jobs and just have more ease daily; we knew our nugget was safe, happy and surrounded by people who truly cared. They cook the food fresh, daily. The lessons they teach, the care they give, the crafts they create, down to their follow up and communication-are all facets of their provided service that far exceeded our expectations.
We've moved and now and our little guy is starting Kindergarten. The impact the Teachers and friends have had on my son is beautiful and we are so grateful to the peeps at TGT. He misses them all so very much, it's heart wrenching. They still check in with us too! We were invited back to the graduation of his preschool class, having been sent the song they learned and instructions via email-our baby was able to not only come to the graduation but he was a part of it-cap, gown, the whole shebang. I cannot thank the Giving Tree enough for the amazing, warm and loving experience our little man had at this center. We made the right choice enrolling him here and I can say, it's incredibly hard for us to find anything in comparison. We've been ruined for future daycares. Seriously. And our sweet little muffin still sings that song from graduation....Kindergarten here we come, we know we'll have lots of fun....

I m just hoping that Maxwelle fola from the other review could somehow contact me. My child was touched inappropriately from another child there and I m not getting much information from the staff. I hope they read this and reach out somehow I need more information on others experience with this. Thank you
My daughter, Lucy, went to school here for 2 years, between 2-4 years old. We were very pleased with the overall experience, of her attending giving tree, and would highly recommend it to other parents.
Lucy loved her teachers and the teachers clearly care for the children.
We have moved away now, and miss her friends, and the staff here immensely.
My wife and I are very picky about who takes care of our Lucy Bear, so these high regards do not come lightly.

I love this place! I have 3 children that have been going here for over two years. I'm definitely picky when it comes to who cares for my children so it took some searching to find a place I was truly happy with. My 5 year old went into Kindergarten well prepared, his Kindergarten teacher actually said he was bored because the work wasn't challenging enough for him. My two youngest have been there since 4 weeks old and I don't have a complaint. They are family oriented, have great teachers, and tons of learning. Highly recommended.
I have used them teice in the last 5 years and the only reason we left is because we moved. We are now closer and this place is awesome. My son absolutely loves the place on every pickup. Its an amazing facility with great staff.
My kids have attended here the past three years. Prior to The Giving Tree, my oldest son attended a well known expensive franchise in downtown Seattle. I saw no difference in quality of education he received or level of care by the teaching staff and administration. My younger son started as an infant here and we totally trust he is well taken care of and live the daily communication sheets sent home. There is some turnover with staff, but it's not any different than other centers due to the nature of the field.
My daughter went here from 3 years old till 9! We may come back for summer camp but we've enjoyed this daycare after being disappointed with the standard chain options. Great teachers & family like atmosphere. I'd recommend to any parent. We love the annual talent show. Thanks giving tree for the years of great memories!
My kids have gone here for over 4 years and my oldest daughters, who are 8 and 10 are heartbroken they will be too old to attend this coming year. I have had 2 infants here since they were 4 weeks and I couldn t ask for a more motherly and welcoming infant room teacher. The staff is super communicative in regards to my kids and are unbelievably flexible with my insane schedule. I have a slightly rambunctious 4 year old and they are super patient and understanding with him. Stacey, the owner, cares A LOT about her kiddos and while there is a bit of a high turnover rate, I feel it is only because she is wanting to make sure to has the best possible staff for the children. She takes parental complaints and constructive criticisms into consideration, and has a total open door policy with parents, students, and staff. Even though I have to drive 30 min to get there, I will continue to make the drive and have the piece of mind that my kids are in the best care they could possibly be. I can t say enough positive things about this center.
You did not try to contact me I had to go down to your facility because you would not answer my emails or phone calls. You called CPS after I told you I was going to do it if you did not handle it properly. My child attended for 4 weeks not 1 and it wouldn t matter how long she attended for, so I don t know why you lying about the time attendance is relevant. You did not handle the situation properly and by your response you are calling my daughter a liar. I hope that others read these reviews and take into consideration what has been reported by not only a parent but a staff member as well. Had you handled the situation better I would never have written a review or tried to get in contact with the person that wrote the other review about the same circumstances.
DO NOT RECOMMEND!! My granddaughter attended this daycare. The toddler room was a night mare. My granddaughter was bitten, scratched & even had a pebble in her mouth when I picked her up. The staff told me it was normal for kids to do this to each other. This is definitely not normal & it s a red flag for me. When I discussed my concern with Ms. Ashley, she told me that maybe this is not a place for my granddaughter.
My 2 year old son has attended GTLC for a year now. I am extremely happy with the care my son gets at this facility. He loves coming each day to see his favorite teachers and play with his friends. The communication is outstanding both by the management and the classroom staff. My questions and concerns are always addressed and I never feel brushed off. I place such a high degree of trust in the GTLC that I plan to keep my son here until he starts kindergarten, which even means I did turn down a work transfer that would of put me closer to home. A shorter commute is not worth having to find a new daycare!
First, I just read through some of the recent negative reviews and I am certain they are all unfounded. It's really unfortunate and is not reflective of the experience we have had at GTLC for the last 4+ years...
Our family has had both of our boys at the Giving Tree for the last several years. Today is our last day as our day as our eldest is starting kindergarten and our little one will be starting at a Montessori school. We have nothing but great things to say about GTLC. The caregivers here are some of the nicest and most caring people we have ever met. Our kids became very close with the staff and other kids here and we are really sad to be moving on. It's a safe, positive and caring environment.
If you are considering a daycare/preschool, you will be well served at GTLC. I feel our kids are better off socially and emotionally after attending here. This place does a great job in developing kids for the future. Thanks to all of the teachers and to Ms. Stacy, the owner. We wish you all the best!
