Everything works well the bar is reasonably fast sound system and cool light
Having been to this venue several times over the years i can say i am please with it. Decent views from most of the floor, large bar with capable staff and a good overall atmosphere
Rough place with a rough sound needs modernising badly
ps: make sure you avoid the bogs which are disgusting
Small but cool place to see underground bands. If you hang out right at the end they open a late bar on its side
Really great little venue. Right by the station. Reasonably priced house beer. Friendly staff.
Cool venue with plenty of toilets and fast service at the bar. It is quite an intimate venue, I saw a ska band and it was a truly excellent night. Security were reasonable, doing their jobs whilst being pleasant and polite. Cloakroom onsite for a small fee. Floor was sticky at the end but that's to be expected.
Great venue, excellent choice of drinks including ales. Sound quality spot on!!
Amazing place! Utterly mind blown experience! Zakk Sabbath 14/02/2020 Fabulous venue
Going to see the woursels there in a weeks time not been there yet but the woursels are fantastic funny and great live
Brilliant place for intimate concerts with fabulous staff looking after everyone, we didn't realise you aren't allowed bottled water inside but we got free water at the bar.
Amazing sound in this venue, friendly staff aswell, nice variety of drinks at the bar and free water.
Tiny venue. 600 max. Looking at the stage, the gents door is on the lefthandside so avoid standing there! Fantastic, drinks the same price as the pub over the road so not extortionate!
The Garage is a British music venue in Highbury, considered to be one of London's "landmark venues". It opened in 1993. In 2007 it was taken over by MAMA & Company. The main room has a capacity of 600 and the upstairs room has a capacity of 150.
Amazing place for small gigs and great community around the club also!
Great venue. Positive vibes all the way through for 90s nights.
Great venue, reasonable size without losing intimacy, great for live music
Occasionally good events, big venue and good transport lonks
I want to like this place more but they've got to sort out the acoustics!
A conversion form the original black box of a venue - the new Relentless Garage is a great venue to come for gigs. With a small intimate size, great views of the stage from wherever you are in the place and plentiful bar staff. The only gripe I might have is that sometimes they omit to turn the air conditioning on - so dress in layers.
Great atmosphere. Surprisingly clean and well managed for a busy venue full of rock music and alcohol. Side note if a tall guy offers you a jet black glass orb don't accept it and don't make eye contact with him. If you even touch it you have 8 hours to burn every part of your skin that touched the orb or they'll find you and punish you. If you made eye contact then you have to blind yourself too
Garbage!! Gig got cancelled 3.5hrs after doors opened and the communication was awful. Lots of people lost alot of money! Unreal!
Bit shabby looking on the outside but don't let that put you off, there's a lovely venue inside
Difficult to fault what is a surprisingly small venue. Smaller on the inside than on the out, for once. The double doors lead you into a room no longer than three and a half red London Double Decker busses with a well stocked bar at one end and the stage at the other. The male and female toilets are easily accessible and the location of the male toilet being next to the stage makes it easy to use the path to get to the front of the crowd. Friendly staff and the ability to get to the front made my evening. I would very happily go back again.
A great small venue with a big atmosphere and handy for the tube getting to and from the venue
Really good music venue, good access And the sound was great
Great sized venue. Pleasant staff. Decent bar selection. Let down by the sound quality, but all in all one of London s better music venues.
After the concert we must go out, it was 22:00... No after party:(
One of my favourite London venues. Great acoustics. As with most of London, the drinks are pricey but you could always drink elsewhere before the gig to save some money.
Great little venue with a fantastic selection of beers and spirits probably the best bar I've seen at a gig. The place was sold out but not to overcrowded which I find most venues do, had a great time shame they don't do many heavy metal gigs there anymore.
The venue room was good with a small bar at the back. The toilets were disgusting tho! There was water on the floor all around the toilets - there was nothing you could do but to have to squelch in it if you were desperate!!
A decent gig venue, though both stages are quite small. Drinks are reasonably priced so the place does not feel like a rip off. In neither case is the floor banked in any manner hence for shorter people there is a need to be near the front.
Saw Bad Wolves here. Great venue. Very intimate. Amazing show!
Was here on a night out and the music was great. Cheap drinks on student nights which was also great. Been here twice now and really enjoyed both visits.
Intimate venue with two performance spaces, friendly door staff and a good bar.
Decent venue, would like to go see a gig there again for sure.
Great place to watch live music. Beer selection is very good. Toilets are, predictably, bot the best...
Really good venue. Sound quality was good and the bar wasn't too bad either.
A great club. Good music and good atmosphere. Unfortunately, you have to queue pretty long. In the winter that is very annoying. Since you should come up with something else.
Great small venue. Went to a Set it Off concert last night. Wished the toilets had a different locations , because right next to the stage can be a bit tricky. Apart of that the place is great as no matter where you are you are really close to the stage !
Great place. Intimate venue: stage at one end , bar at the other. Live music at it's best.
Good venue for the gig last night. Not too busy. Shame about the rain though.
Parking was easily accessible.
Good concert hall, they were watching ELS PETS, imptesionsnt
Incredible venue with a great sound and stage team!
Nice venue for concerts. Best place to watch a gig is by the railing next to the bar.
Not the biggest venue in the world! But with the right band it creates a great atmosphere! I saw Wednesday 13 there last month! Feels very inclusive given its size. The only negatives I could say is there's only one bar at the very back of the venue, (which ain't cheep btw) and the toilets are not particularly well signed or easy to get to when it's busy either .
But I would go there again ! It's still a good venue in my opinion
Simple nightclub in Highbury & Islington, which mainly consists of a big room with a stage and a bat opposite. We went for a Gonzo event which showcases members if rock bands DJing, so it pretty much turns into an indie disco. Cost nothing to get inside and drinks were half price so we had the time of our lives listening to old school tunes and drinking cheap beer. Staff are amiable. Def will be back!
I asked the man where the toilets were and he said he didn't know! I mean, hello...
Venue sent us to the wrong place, assaulted my friend, a bouncer pushed her into the barrier and told us we were in the wrong. Do not support them.
One of the best venues in London, drinks are expensive but sound quality is really good.
Went there to see Loyle Carner, great performance and because of the nature of his music, the venue suited his style. The venue is fairly small and has a condensed feel to it . Toward the back of the venue there is a second slightly higher More
No aircon, no fans, uncomfortably hot. Fine for winter, I guess.
Great mid size spot for gigs - the size i like most. Limited but very broad choice of beverages..... btw they serving Punk IPA.
staff are impersonal and as jobsworth as you like...
Poor handling of cancelled concert except that mostly ok, reasonably priced drinks, not best quality though
Decent venue. Lack of outside area for smokers though.
One of my favourite venues in London - great atmosphere and perfect for more intimate gigs!
Intense venue which puts you right at the heart of the music. Bars pretty well priced for a London venue and the staff are very helpful (my friends lost wallet was found within the hour) have been dozens of times and will be going again
G Flip performance
The toilet is clean,
Cracking little venue for up and coming bands. Bar prices are pretty reasonable for London as well.
Guardians are taking their job way too seriously and they`re quite cheeky. Not sure exactly if they were having a gig / playing ( yeah, the guardians! ) that night or they just need attention. The place is nice on the inside thou` :)
