The Galaxy Restaurant and Banquet Center Review

Went to the Galaxy for our Anniversary. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. Will difently visit again. Highly recommend the lamb and seafood risotto. The salads were out of this world....wedge and pear.

The restaurant has something for everyone. Whether it be the outside patio or the wonderful inside dining. The food was fantastic, as well as, the service. Our waiter, Damonte was phenomenal. He came back many times to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. He also brought along a great personality. Next time we come back, my only request will be is to have Damonte be our waiter again. Thank you for a delicious meal and service!

Wonderful meeting venue in Northeast Ohio! Definitely recommend!

We went there one evening and were turned away from the outdoor patio because we were not wearing a diaper on our face. We have been there many, many times, but no more. We are done.

Most of the times I have visited the Galaxy have been during their breakfast buffet. The buffet doesn't have quite the selection of a golden corral or some other purpose built buffet, but what they do have is WAYYYYY better! With breakfast, lunch, and dessert selections which are all incredibly tasty, the buffet is an excellent choice if you're looking for somewhere to eat for brunch.

Good Easter brunch - wish there was more selections - very busy

The more upscale side is usually pretty good, but the bar side restaurant leaves something to be desired.

Hands down, the BEST Fillet Mignon around! Highly recommended!

Was not impressed. I always heard it was a great place to visit. Server was very kind. Food was okay

The ribs fell right off the bone and were very tender. Service was fast and the waitress was excellent.

I give this billions and billions of stars if I could. This place was nothing 13.8 years ago! It now has an amazing view and super spacious. So spacious I couldn't detect any other forms of life.
I suspect that we will start discovering more of these in the universities (if you subscribe to the multiple university theory)

Food is pretty good, but they're sooo slow during lunch. Only one other group of four in here with our group of four, and it took 15 minutes before a server came by, and another 45 minutes before our sandwiches came out...

The food was great. More wait staff would have been good, our waitress had too many tables for herself. Says business casual online for circle L dress code. There was quite a few people in jeans and t-shirts. It's a nice place for a date night with great steaks cooked exactly right. Will go again.

We finally made it to the Wine Room! We got in right away and sat at the bar with some friends. The service was spot on and the bartender suggested some great new beers. For dinner we had shrimp cocktail where we got 3 big bites out of each shrimp and I had a delicious seafood risotto that was actually mostly seafood. Can't wait to go back!

Excellent buffet; prime rib with fresh melon and berries ++ :)

Best cheesesteaks outside of Philly. Seriously. Go try them. Very cool place.

Wine bar side of restaurant is nice, serice is acceptable and food is good.

Great place to visit when staying at the comfort Inn. You have a lot to choose from. The food is high quality but pretty pricey too. You get what you pay for there.

I will not be returning. The food on the bar and grill side is overpriced for the quality. Last weekend, I ordered a burger to go cooked medium well l. Once home, I bit into it to find it medium rare. I called and complained and was sent a gift card. Though the gesture was nice, the amount only covered my burger - nothing additional as a good will gesture for my time and inconvenience. Tonight, my daughter and I returned to use the gift card. We only ordered a burger and hotdog and we waited 50 minutes for our food. I would like to see Wadsworth have more options. I think people go to The Galaxy because our town does not have much to choose from.

Feel the need to pay way to much for stuff you could make better in your hotel room next to this place? This is your jam.

Had our favorite beer, tried the meat lovers flat bread pizza, YuMmm,!! Great service, no wait for 2. Smoke free. Very nice place.

Had our HOA Christmas party here for the 2nd year and like last year we had a great time, the server's and service were excellent The food and atmosphere were fantastic I recommend the Galaxy percent we had a great time.

My sister from North Carolina and I went there on Thanksgiving. We made reservations for 3 pm. We were trying to find a handicapped place when someone came out and said they would save his spot. We had a table for four which we turned into two. We had a good waitress who didn't push us to leave. The food was delicious even though I don't prefer buffet. We ordered off a wine list. We finally left after 5 pm. Gave the waitress a Thanksgiving tip. This is a hard day for people who have to work.
Our waitress even took our picture. I noticed a lot of complaints when people attended on a HOLIDAY. This is definitely not the time to make a first time visit. Most restaurants hire "casual labor" on these days. These people are not trained and just looking for money.

The food is great (especially the Thai-chili calamari), the atmosphere is better than most places, the drinks....not so much.

First time here. It was delicious! Service was great! The steakhouse room was tranquil and elegant. We will DEFINITELY come back!

We have enjoyed my husband company brunch for years now at this restaurant. Awesome service and food. I'm a really picky eater and this place has the best brunch by far.

Steak tasted good ordered medium rare and had a lot of fat and was very dry not one drop of juice

The restaurant is great, but the banquet events are overpopulated and understaffed. Also, Google is censoring right wing opinions, so that kind of sucks.

Very slow service. Food was good. Just took a long time to get it.

Dont go to special event brunches like easter ...overcharge for less than you can get any other sunday........was regular customer had plans for taking our mothers for mothers day brunch but wont be going back after emailing them with zero reponse.....customer loyalty and appreciation apparently dont mean much

Seating in wine room is Cosy. Service is very good. Did not feel hurried, enjoyed a great meal.

Cool ceiling! I have been there 1 time with a large group. Large groups can be difficult to handle. Then the group was coming in 2-3 people at a time moving around just being difficult for a server to keep tabs on. Poor guy !!! Keeping that all in mind, it took to long for me to get my drink, I got the Galaxy Burger medium done with onion rings. The onion rings where good. The burger was ok, but I am not in a hurry to go back and try something else.

First time there are it is a very nice place. Food was excellent and good portions.

Went in arouns 4.00pm. Was excited to start with their warm bread. The server took our order. We got 2 salads and asked for bread then for a our meal we were gonna share wings and potato skins. 20 min later she came out with 1 salad that was right ans one wrong. and meal and no bread. Then ae asked again about bread. We got one our salads after we alrwady ate our meals she bring the other salad out.. then bring us our bread.. 5 min later she asks if we wont desert . We said no we full she said i dont blame you bread fills you... wow no we just got our bread before we were full. Worst service ever that day..

It was nice, we were in the cellar room for a company event.

Overall a nice place. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. We've had dinner here 4 or 5 times now. I've had steak twice and I think it lacks flavor and quality. The ribeye I recently had was extremely fatty. I know it is a cut of meat which contains a more than normal amount of fat usually but this was excessive. I'd say of the 14 oz. almost 1/2 was fat. I order it medium rare and it came out closer to medium, which was fine I'm not going to send it back over that. I thought that it really lacked in flavor though. To me it was an average cut of meat that I would buy at the grocery store. Seasoning was minimal and the ribeye was around a 1/2" thick. Maybe the bone in ribeye is better but I haven't tried it. Sides and salad were good and if you like wine you will be pleased with the selection.

After spending the day bouncing thru multiple appointments at the Cleveland clinic we were blessed with an invitation to Valentine's day dinner, which is also our anniversary. We had the mussels for an appetizer. Very nice lemon/ butter flavor, and enough to share. For our main fare, my wife enjoyed the lobster ravioli. The tomato cream sauce was wonderful. Brother Mike had prime rib with the cowboy potatos, and a salad. Prime rib arrived just the way he liked it- medium, medium rare. His fiancee and I both had the snapper with rice. The fish was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The dressed snapper, with tomato, lemon, and herbs arrived with tail- I've had deep fried selections in which the tails and fins were edible. None of us really had room for desert, but after our waitress's scrumptious descriptions of the wares, we tried opted to take the plunge, and tried the cheesecake and our companions had a gluten free selection. Although we had take home boxes for some of our dinners the deserts disappeared!

Had dinner at the Galaxy tonight my last night in Wadsworth, Oh. Heading back to Fl tomorrow. Had a great visit with daughter Karen and family. Karen can use our prayers at this time. Thanks.

Food and service were both excellent. Went here for a Christmas party for work. Enjoyed this restaurant very much. Wish i could remember our servers name but she was amazing.

Great for a private event or a great dinner, this place has quite a few different rooms - all with their own different atmosphere and decor

Our church ladies group, of seven, met for lunch, for the first time since March. We ate on the outside patio. We were seated at two large round tables pushed together so we could be seated with at least 3 feet between us under a netting canopy. Our server wore her mask the whole time and was very friendly and attentive. Our food was very good and plenty. We will definitely be back.

Took my brother here for his birthday. Was excited to eat in the main dinning room. However, the acoustics of the domed ceiling and hardwood floors caused the sound from across the room to appear to be coming out of a speaker above our heads! We literally coukd hear every word spoken at a table of 12 people across the room. Mentioned this to our server who told the manager. He came over to apologize and said he tried to turn the music up to drown out the sound, but it didn't really help. The biggest problem was that the other party across the room were using foul language and saying offensive things they apparently thought were funny. This pretty much ruined our dinner. If I am paying $25-$32 for a fine steak meal, I expect the ambiance of the restaurant to be better more sophisticated and not loud like a sports bar. They are aware of the problem with the acoustics, but obviously haven't cared enough to find a solution. Only giving this high of a rating because the food was excellent.

Great steaks and a whole lot of craft beers would highly recomend it if in one of the nearby hotels.

Never disappointed in the quality of the food...and the sports bar has more TVs than you can shake a stick at.

This has been my go-to restaurant for tasty, casual dining for a lot of years, so it's with a heavy heart that I say our dining experience this evening fell far short of our expectations. Timing was way off, salads arrived about three minutes before entrees, some of the food was lukewarm and dry when it arrived, and it was very difficult to get our server to visit our table. In the end, we received a small discount (10%, given freely, didn't request it) and were told by the manager that they don't currently have an executive chef but to try back in a few months and maybe things will be better. I kind of doubt we will return.

Great food. Very friendly staff. The banquet staff are on point! I love this place.

My first time here and I really liked it. I had the fish and chips and it was very good. Loved the ceiling! Our server was nice and we had a nice relaxing time.

There for a Christmas party, 50 people, good food and service. They did a very nice job of hosting.

Everything was great from the food to the service we were taken care of.
