The Galaxy Restaurant and Banquet Center Review

The food and service were very good. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that it was a little pricey for a sports bar; although, you do get what you pay for.

Service sucks. Better order more than one beer at a time.

awesome Sunday morning buffet. i highly recommend coming very hungry, and you will not be disappointed.

Good food, decent pricing, and prompt service. Went during lunch hour on a workday. Things were pretty busy and by my observation, they seemed understaffed server wise. However, it did not effect ours or anyone's service in the restaurant.

Other than slightly and I mean just slightly high prices the place was great. I'm generally not a cheap ass but if you're charging 12-14 bucks for some sandwiches/burgers throw in some fries and not chips from giant eagle, you're a sports bar not a deli... Potatoes/fries do not cost you much more than store bought or GFS chips, c'mon now.

We Absolutely Loved our time here. Fantastic food. Great Wine. The bar is fun after dinner. Made for a fun night away.

Had the lamb special it was excellent. Not cheap but good as could be. And sat at bar and had excellent service from Alex also made perfect drinks

This place has it all with a sports bar, wine bar, amazing buffet table, and some great dishes!

Good chicken wings, perfectly sauced. The chicken noodle soup is delicious. Good drinks from the bar. Waitress was attentive.

Went here for a murder mystery dinner. I had never been to something like this before so I did not know what to expect... It was amazing! Great food, amazing service, and the show was very entertaining! I highly recommend doing this if you can!

After the show, we went to the patio and listened to live music while enjoying some drinks and snacks. Again, the food and service were great!

A bit pricy for what you get, but this restaurant is always clean and produces high quality food. Perfect for a special occasion of you prefer to stay local.

Typically very good but tonight was terrible. The food was good but the service in the wine room bar was absolutely horrible. Took 30 minutes to get some ahi tuna and longer than that to get an order of canollis.

Food was good. Waited a long time for food, but was overall an enjoyable experience on the patio.

Great food. Our server was good but never checked on us after we payed although we all sat with empty drinks. We did leave a 25% tip too

We came there for vday dinner and had high hopes. First id like to say our waitresss was amazing , she was very courteous and helpful . we ordered steaks that came out VERY rare and she corrected it immediately, unfortunately they came back well done and we wanted medium rare. So not really happy about that but we were hungry. My mashed potatoes were cold and a very weird texture, almost like instant flake mashed potatoes. The steaks were sub par no seasonings at all, not juicy a For a $100 meal we expect more. Probably wont ever come back

Staff is so friendly and food is delicious! Awesome selection of adult drinks too!

Was not pleased with the chicken dinner.My chicken was dry and tasteless.Needed more seasoning.Roasted potatoes were too salty. Have been at this restaurant before and had a good meal.

Love this place. Offers a variety of dining experience (sports bar, steakhouse, wine room). Employees are very professional!

Beer was cold good thing. Food awful. Waitress nice. Meat in Galaxy burger tasted old. Potato chips stale. Fries cold. Spinach dip appetizer had stale pita whatever's and asked for fresh; server brought potato chips as we're out of pita things-chips were stale too! Sad, sad as have eaten there many times and food was good. But now hamburger disaster has me doubting a return.

We've been to The Galaxy many times: private parties, Easter brunch, New Years Eve. (Our Motown band has even performed on the patio.) For us, it's consistency that describes them best. Very good food, fair prices and portions, and a wait staff and managers that keep providing better quality than many other places.

Funny how people used to talk about poor service because it was rare, and now we talk about good service for the same reason.

Arrived at 11:30 for lunch. It was after 12:30 before we were served our food. I had a chicken sandwich that was overcooked and dried out. Not happy.

Really good food, attentive service, a fun place to entertain with friends.

The entertainment venue was overcrowded and it's not to my liking. The rest of the restaurant is way overpriced!

Fantastic brunch, great drink specials, and I have never had anything but good food and good service here.

The Galaxy is a main staple to Wadsworh. They have a great bar and patio with live music. Drink and food specials are always exciting. They even had Santa at one my favorite parts of the Galaxy-- their Sunday brunch.

The food is good but the service was slow. The restaurant was extremely loud so if you're looking to have a conversation, this would not be a good place.

The chicken alfredo special on 2-19-19 was incredible! Please put it on the menu :). Also, the steaks here are the best in the area. If you want a great steak dinner go to the Galaxy instead of a chain steakhouse or an overpriced upscale steakhouse like Fleming's or Hyde Park.

Food was awesome. Restaurant was clean. All in all a great experience and we will be back again.

Amazing! We sat in the Wine Room and we would highly recommend!

I came here one time in the evening to enjoy some drinks with friends and we sat at the bar. I ordered a jack and coke and drank a few of them and ate the ice and the last one I got I drank it all and saw there was a bug in one of the ice cubes. I freaked out and the bartender seemed indifferent about it.

Nice place, great food, I will be eating there when I stay here again.

Had dinner outside food is OK, as for the patio, if you like smoking then it is great. If you like speakers right in your ears, even at the back end of the patio area, then it is great. Would I go again, not to the patio.

Amazing food....the Ham-B is awesome.......filets are tasty, mussels, oh so yummy. Awesome sweets to take home...tarts, pies, brownies....YUM!!!

We have dinner there several times and once for Brunch! We have always enjoyed out meals at the Galaxy. We will return!

Great food great service. Love the sports bar with the TV s at the booths. Want something quieter and more romantic choose the steakhouse, white tablecloth dining yet both menus all menus available anywhere within the restaurant. The wine room is a nice experience as well.

Delicious top sirloin and cowboy potatoes and spinach dip, yumm! Took my father in law here for his 80th Birthday, he said he wanted a good steak for his birthday, The Galaxy delivered! He loved it and so did we! The sirloin has a really good seasoning on it. Great staff and atmosphere. You can fine dine in the steakhouse or wine cellar. If you prefer casual they have a sports bar/grill. All good! They also sell some of their own locally grown meats at the restaurant and have a coffee bar area as well. Go check them out and tell'em Tricia from The Pulp sent ya, you won't be disappointed!

We just tried the Galaxy Restaurant for the first time and were very disappointed. First of all, I ordered the chicken tenders which were tiny. My son ordered 1/2 dozen wings which were $8.00. They were the smallest wings I have ever seen. My husband ordered the chili and turkey wrap. The chili was decent, but the turkey wrap was sad. The top inch of the wrap was empty. There was one piece of turkey which he found crammed down in the very bottom of the wrap. Finally, when I paid the waitress, she came back and told me she accidentally used my card for the wrong bill but then voided the transaction. Service was very slow. Ugh. We were looking forward to eating here but I will not return.

A very nice evening. Good food, good service and pleasant ambience. Always enjoy a meal in the Wine Room.

I was a first time customer here and I was very impressed with the atmosphere, very cool building. Our waitress was top notch. The food however was lacking. For the price and buildup for the restaurant, I expected top notch food. We traveled from North Canton and expected to be blow away. The wine was excellent and they appear to be on point with their wine menu. For an app we ordered calamari which wasn't really anything impressive. Not much flair to it. My wife order the ahi tuna which was fully cooked and tough in some spots. I am not an Ahi Tuna expert, I went off of what she said. I ordered the 16 Oz prime rib. I have had prime rib/steak from all over the county and even in several parts of the word so I know whats what when it comes to how a steak or prime rib is supposed to be cooked. I ordered it medium rare, a warm pink center. The steak came out cold and tough. I sent it back to get warmed up a bit, came back cold again and asked to cancel it. The waitress came out with the chef/cook and she said she didn't want me to leave unhappy and comped the meal. Spectacularly, the prime rib came out as it was supposed to, warm, juicy, melt in your mouth bites you expect. The chef then went on to try to explain how a mid rare steak is to be cooked and agreed the center is cool but not the outside. He watched me cut and it and walked away before I took a bite. That was really weird, he clearly showed he was irritated with me. As I stated I have had steak all over the world, have worked in several restaurants and know how to treat a customer (and cook a steak), that chef is bringing down the restaurant a few notches. If they upgraded the man behind the menu, I could see this place being one of the best in Northern Ohio. As it stands now, the menu is mediocre and overpriced due to the sub-par product put out the kitchen.

The service was on point. The food however, missed the point completely. It's Easter Sunday. The place is busy, surely the management had some clue today would be busy. The orange juice, smelled bad, tasted bad, had to end up getting it from the bar area. The scalloped potatoes, uncooked, coffee was kept to a minimum. Our waitress was thankfully awesome. Now onto the most important point. I was stuck on the toilet halfway through the meal. Not pleasant.

My buddy and I had lunch. Brooke was our bartender and served our food. She was awesome! She was pleasantly efficient and incredibly sweet. We liked her.

Have had very bad experiences here between the food and the staff. The atmosphere isn t great either.

I was excited for a weeks to try the Galaxy me and my wife ordered the filet mignon it was so tough we couldn't eat it very disappointed

Sunday brunch is amazing, however I was a bit disappointed when we arrived for our 1:00 reservation and the buffet was already at it's tail-end. Usually we go at 11:30 and everything is so fresh. Ed is an amazing server. He is so nice and extremely attentive.
