The Galaxy Restaurant and Banquet Center Review

One of our favorite places. Sports bar is fun. Wine room is awesome with their 1/2 price appetizers and wine. Had the best servers last night. Thanks Tiffany and Brian. See you again soon!

The Circle K is quieter than most restaurants. Best steak dinners cooked to customers's specifications. Service is always superb. Fresh green beans, not canned.

Very cool outside sitting area. The inside is stunning too! Good selection of food and booze.

Service was great, but food was mediocre. Just got crispy chicken salad. Dressing was watery. Salad was basically salad mix with cucumber slices, no onion nor tomatoes...

Definitely check out the Wine Bar. Awesome food and service

The food was excellent along with a great atmosphere. The beer selection there is pretty good. They also have very good live music.on Saturday nights. I highly recommend.

So I took my girls out for Valentines day dinner. Made reservations at the Galaxy, thought it would be something nice for them. Everything was GREAT! I will be back very soon worth every penny!

Worst experience (actually total lack of) ever! Our party of 6 (5 adults) arrived at about 6 PM on Sunday. Greeted promptly and seated promptly. It was ALL downhill from there. Not one person came by our table in 15 minutes. No greeting.....no drink inquiries....no drinks....nothing! We went to inquire from hostess if someone could serve our table. She entered the restaurant and talked to several people then returned to the Hostess station. Ten minutes later still nothing.....we had had enough. We left and went nearby where had a wonderful meal with very attentive service. Needless to say we WILL NOT RETURN anytime soon....if ever. Side note: It was so dark in the room that I had to use my cell phone lite to be able to read the menu! TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED !!!!!!!!!!!! Would rate ZERO stars if I could because that would match the service we received at Galaxy. Literally thanks for nothing.

My son has a life-threatening food allergy. He wanted to have a nice dinner at the Galaxy before homecoming. Jason, Jonathan and Eric took time out of their busy schedule to call me and discuss what my son could safely order, they made a special note in the reservation and went above and beyond to not only reassure me, but take wonderful care of my son and his girlfriend. We loved the Galaxy already. But after this, they will always be our go-to choice for a nice dinner out. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

If i could give it no stars i would. Called over a week ago and left a message for a reservation for New Years Eve. The owner returned my call in a timely manner and took my info for the reservation. Lo and behold we arrive at the restaurant and there is a mesage on the door closed for private party . I waited til later and called the restaurant. Talked with the owner. Told him how dispicable it was to take our reservation and not comply. He said sorry. I said this isnt a sorry situation it is inexcusable. He said i was yelling at him and that we dont even take reservations and that since i didnt like it dont come back. No effort to explain or make the situation right. He lied right out to me. Have never and will never grace that door. Horrible.

Atmosphere was pleasant but VERY expensive to drink.

Went for a brunch, and it was amazing. There was plenty of breakfast foods, as well as dinner-type foods and desserts. I would highly recommend going on an empty stomach!

I absolutely love the Galaxy!!! We drive from Cuyahoga Falls nearly every Sunday for the brunch buffet. I don't always feel like I get my money worth but that's not their fault!! I am always happy with the service and the selection of food offered. I will suggest that you make a reservation if you don't want to sit in the sports bar area, the dining room and restaurant fill up VERY quickly!! Thanks for a great brunch every time I come!!

Overrated steaks for the price but otherwise it's pretty good food

I visit this place Every time I come into town. The sports pub has great food and great service. This place gets busy though...seating can be a challenge at times.

We were seated quickly but after we were given our drinks and ordered our food. we waited over 30 minutes for the food to come out (it was good and tasty) and in that time we were not check on at all by our waiter. We were not happy with our service.

I've never had a bad experience here. Customer service is always too not h and the food never disappoints.

The Galaxy has been a gift to Wadsworth since it's opening. My favorite restaurant near Wadsworth. When it is warm, the patio is a great place to relax. When it is cold, head for the wine bar for a small plate dinner and wine near the fireplace. Love their seafood and specials. Mussels are always good for appetizer and the caprese flatbread is over the top.

Went in middle of day, food was good, wife finished her plate. Chocolate gelotto was good.

We came here for wine and loved it. Delicious food and a nice place for a date

My wife wanted to be taken out for a nice dinner. I d never been here, but it looked nice. There is no valet parking, and for the type of place the Galaxy portrays itself as, should definitely have a valet. We got seated promptly, we had a reservation. Our waitress came by very rarely to check on things. First issue, my wife s salad was served with the wrong dressing. Ok, no biggie. But we sat there 15 minutes waiting for the waitress to come by so we could tell her, and ended up just flagging down another employee. So she finally got another salad, and was in the middle of eating it when entrees arrived. I was handed a 12 oz well done strip steak when I ordered a 14 oz med rare rib eye. So that had to be sent back as well. Once we finally received all of the correct food, it was ok at best. Potatoes are obviously boxed. Between the lack of a waitress, and the mix ups with the food, it was just an annoying evening. My wife wanted a nice night out and I didn t deliver thanks to the poor restaurant. I only got 2 drinks the whole night because the waitress just wasn t around to refill them. I m ok with paying the price for the good night out but this place was WAY overpriced for the quality we received. I told my wife I should have just taken her to longhorn it would have been cheaper and tasted better. The only thing that was done to rectify any of this was taking the appetizer off the bill. Never even seen a manager to speak to. Won t be back

I have only been for Easter Brunch. The food was okay - but the selection was amazing. So many choices! We had a large group and everyone left full.

Place was Excellent. Hosted our companies trade show expo for Wayne Homes. Service was prompt and food was really good. Staff was very quick with cleaning and food delivery.

Terrible service. Excuses after excuses. Waited over an hour to be told our "salad" would be right out, too bad we didn't order any salad. Will never return or recommend to anyone.

We went for Thanksgiving, the buffet was extremely delicious. Although it took a while to get whipped topping for the desert, all were excellent. The wait staff was fair, I was asked what I wanted to drink I said coffee and water, after asking 3 times, I finally asked for iced tea, and got it right away, also when it was almost gone, I had a refill without asking. My parents were also with our party of 10, they said food was very SALTY, I asked others in our party they said the same as well. My wife & I both have had gastric bypass weight loss surgery so we do not eat much. We asked and showed a card from our doctor asking to grant a price break due to not able to eat much. The server checked with the manager, and they reduced my wife's cost to the children's price, yet did nothing for me. All in all a very pleasant atmosphere, food was good, & service was good.

We had a private breakfast there & the food was very good. My family was very pleased with the service & accommodation even before their regular hours. Definitely recommend it!

This place NEVER disappoints. We have been many times in all sections of the restaurant and the food is not only excellent but the service is unbeatable. Highly recommend!

I'm really not sure why this place has such good reviews.. We decided to stop here passing through on our way home to Columbus because we wanted to sit and relax with some decent food after our long weekend. I chose Galaxy because the reviews were good and the menu sounded right up our alley.

Maybe the locals think it's top notch because it's the only restaurant that's not fast food in the area??.. I just don't get it. Our mozzarella sticks were still frozen in the middle. Our bread was stale. Our table was being constantly harassed by fruit flies. I ordered my steak rare and it came out medium well. My husband's burger was ordered medium well and came out dry as bones. The only thing that came out correctly was my son's steak off the children's menu. Despite the improperly cooked food, I tasted most of it anyways. My scallops weren't terrible, so I ate those. The brussel sprouts were undercooked and overbearingly salty. The steak was bland and dry. My husband's burger also bland and dry, the egg on top was also over cooked. Oh, the pub fries weren't terrible either, so I'll give them credit for those too.

As people who travel often and eat out a lot, I put this place in the same category as an overpriced Ruby Tuesday. If you're going to charge $20 for a tiny steak, I better enjoy the hell out of it. This just goes to show that money doesn't necessarily mean quality. After not finishing our meals, we decided to just eat when we get back home to Columbus. The manager didn't really seem too concerned with the poor quality of food when it came time for us to speak up, but she comped our meals and told us to have a good day in a very "get out of my restaurant" sort of way. We tipped our waitress and left pretty irritated with our entire experience. Obviously, we won't be returning on our next trip to northern Ohio.

Great food and atmosphere. The place is divided between a sports pub and a casual restaurant. Also, great for banquets and parties.
