The french laundry

I traveled for this Restaurant . I gave 2 stars for the service and ambience and the creativity they put into the dishes. However this is such a traumatized dining experience and I want anyone who work there try to taste the whole menu and see how they feel. I can taste nothing but SO MUCH SALT in each one of their dishes. Including one of their dessert If you have a separate chef take in charge of salt I wonder if that person is going through anything difficult in their life. I can barely taste the veal or quail . It taste like supermarket bought ham . The wagyu taste so salty and the texture is not buttery like. It is dry and salty. (Beef jerky?) Everything will be perfect with significant less salt in it.

Loved this place. Accidentally got a chance to eat here. I mean the food yeah of course it s crazy great. The real stand out the staff. So sweet let us see the kitchen and I mean stand out nice!!

First, I'll talk about the Reservation experience. I didn't expect to get a reservation, I just wanted to check out the process. On some day at the beginning of the month, reservations will go up on TOCK at 10AM sharp. You should create an account an add a card so you can checkout ASAP. While smashing the reservation button, I ended up getting balcony seating for 2. It's 100 dollars more than the standard tasting menu, BUT I think it is well worth it for a party 2. It's quaint and there was only one other couple out there so it felt like we were VIPS. As you probably know, the service is out of this world. They started us off with Champagne due to the Wine not being ready that we chose, along with some starts to munch on as we waited. Every course came out quickly and was described beautifully. Some food highlights was the black truffle pasta, freaking amazing. Wagyu was nice, and I really loved the lobster served. They closed it out with a beautiful spread of sweets at the end, and they let us check out the kitchen at the end. Overall a really nice experience. I hope someone takes me next time as it is quite expensive.

What else is there to say? This is the absolute best. Everything from the wait staff to the desserts were perfection.

While still very good, the competition has caught and surpassed TFL. The pearls & oysters were still great but many others have already copied and improved it over the years. Other dishes, while delicious, just didn't have the wow factor that you would expect. Nothing was bad but I can't say this was memorable. More like a one and done.

The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire meal and very friendly. I was astounded by the precision in which the executed the plating, service, and setup of the outdoor dining area. Each course is relatively small, but don't feel bad if you can't finish everything. There were at least four different things presented for dessert and you should definitely save room for the end of meal treats! The brioche was incredible (I believe it was brought over from Bouchon bakery). Overall, a really fantastic dining experience.

A divine dining experience, each dish somehow outdoing that before it. Every single bite is soul soothing and every course, a painting. Hospitality is second to none. There is a very good reason why this is a destination restaurant, and they deserve every bit of that reputation.
