The Fat Frogg Bar & Grille Review

Wasted an hour and half never received our food wait staff was overwhelmed and kitchen was a disaster never again

We use to go almost every day spent lots of money here each week.........the main cook left and the food is just horrible we have tried to give another shot but it just sucks! Plus the bartender has no clue how to make a drink! If you have to look up every single drink you make and you still get it wrong maybe you should try a different career! People are nice here but they need to step it up on food. There is more lettuce in a wrap than anything ....what are we paying for...lettuce??? No thanks, fried food is ways way over cooked. Plus they dont listen to customer feedback. Overall it's an ok place but nothing like it was 5-6months ago. We will NOT be going back again. Disappointment time after time after time gets old.

Food is always good. But the service on the other hand was bad tonight. And most of the time it is a coin flip.

Excellent service. Always a fun time and the staff is amazing. Although the entire staff is amazing, we have had an especially excellent experience with Ashley. Highly recommend and will be coming back for years.

A great local bar/eatery/venue. Food is bar food (great crispy wings)for the area and they had, preCovid, good bands and trivia. A staple if you live in Elon or Gibsonville.

A very chill spot. From karaoke night to trivia trivia night. Good bar food and a very fun atmosphere. Avery was my bartender and made fantastic drinks and was very personable. I recomend this spot for a good place to hang out.

Went there tonight. Not busy. Sat at bar. No one spoke to me. Waitresses were chatting. Looked st me...., nada.Waited 10 minutes and left. Went to Wings to Go where there is excellent service.

We didn't eat alot. We had some drinks. We had the BEST waitress ever!!!! Will go back and ask for her. Jaria, you honey are the best!!

Elon's meet and greet bar/band/karaoke hangout; a favorite of locals who love to mix with others, mostly in the early twenties - 21 to 25 crowd. Senior Elon students here Friday and Saturday nights with live band. Very popular.

Great food, good beer selection n friendly wait staff

Just sold in for a beer but I will definitely return as the service and courtesies I received from the bartender were phenomenal. I was told about all the specials for each night and just had general great conversation. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting to say the least. Highly recommend.

Good food, portion size and price was excellent. Craft beer selection with featured craft brewery every week. Service was a bit slow, otherwise 5 stars.

Great local place to visit. Dirty South (burger with fried green tomatoe) is currently my favorite item.

Worst customer service experience I've ever had. I've worked in the service industry for 7 years and there was clearly no respect shown to any customers here. We waited over 70 minutes to even get a waiter to ask us for drinks on a slow saturday night. Management is incompetent. My friends and I will never come back. Do yourself a favor and never come here if you want to be served in under 2 hours.

The service was excellent, the food was fresh, and tasted great, and the beer was cold, all for what you might expect to pay.

We had a group of 5 first timers and our time sitting down at the table was at 5:30p.m. we ordered and did not receive our food until 7:15p.m. and we all ate very quickly because we where so hungry from waiting and honestly we all went and stopped at a fast food restaurant on the way home to have some food that was half way decent compared to the terrible dinner we had at Fat Froggs.
(Our first time at Fat Froggs was on April 14th 2019 from roughly 5:30p.m. until 7:40p.m. and this will be our last)
Also I'm not exagerexagge on the times we met our friends there at 5:30 and since we waited and waited forever we all kept checking our watches for the time and I sure know how long it took, and thank you for the actual and figurative headache that your restaurant gave me and also thanks for waiting my time and money!! Very much appreciated

I went to fat frogs with very high hopes since I have heard so many things good about how good there food was and that they're always having music or something going on like bands playing and such. But tonight when we went they had a band there which is fine and expected but the drummer drummed the whole time and everything was extremely loud and to add to that, everything that was hooked to a microphone was turned all the way up to max Volume and it was making my ears/head ache in pain from the constant insanely loud music.

Which leads me to my experience with the food and service, we waited for am hour and a half for our food and I was going to get up and leave if our food wasn't almost done so I walked near the kitchen doors and asked one of the workers how long they thought it would be for the 100th time and they said it shouldn't be much longer so I asked her again and told her that's what everyone has told us and we have been waiting here for an hour and a half and she said oh my gosh I'm sorry and I just started to see the chefs put the food into the window as I finished asking her.

So then the food arrives we got 4 burgers with fries and chips and a chicken tender plate with fries everything was cold and so greasy you could barely pick it up, the only thing hot was the chicken tenders which you when you bit into it you could tell that it was done and sat around long enough to get cold and thrown into the frier again just to get it warm.

Long story short that was the first and the last time I will be ever going there and everyone who talked so highly about this place is crazy wrong.

The service and food are always great. Don't miss their brunch on Friday Saturdays and Sundays. I think it's great that they do this 3 days out of the week. It only runs till 2 so you have to make it out before then. Great draft and bottle selection. A lot of specialized brunch drinks as well. My wife and I've eaten there at least a dozen times and the food is always amazeballs. Has a great little patio for outdoor dining to.

If you haven't tried their food, you're in for a real treat. Friendly folks and great atmosphere. Don't forget the live music.

One of the best in Alamance County. Excellent food. Good, friendly service, usually good drink specials. Try the Turkey Reuben, it s terrific.
