They was taking care of my aunt and never contacted anyone when she went into the hospital or when she had a birthday party or when she was on her death bed and never returned any phone calls they kept some of her belongings after she passed away I TOLD MY FAMILY I DONT CARE WHAT TJE SITUATION IS NEVER LET THEEW PEOPLE TAKE CARE OF ME EVER AND IF YOU REALLY LOVE YOUR LOVED ONE DONT LET THIS PLACE HELP ON ANY WAY VERY VERY BAD FIND ANOTHER ROUTE FOR YOUR LOVED ONE I REALLY WISH WE WOULD HAVE DONT LET OUR MISTAKE BECOME YOURS!!!
Speaking as a former employee who voluntarily left the company. I can truthfully say the ONLY people that give a care about the clients safety and well being are the immediate care takers/DSP's. I had an issue where a newly hired supervisor had tremendous power complexes and outright would ignore my calls/texts about client well being. I would often times (just about all the time) have to go above them to the program managers and program supervisors. Then when i had a meeting with HR and everyone necessary it lead to unagreeable terms, primarily location and split shifts, and me being told i had an authority complex however every email, text, call etc was always as informative, direct, and without questioning authority just asking for things to be fixed for the clients or for new covid era laws to be properly enacted for all employees. Furthermore the supervisors (minus one or two because even if the whole carton of eggs is cracked there's atleast one or two good ones left) completely disregard their duties and like to put the blame on the DSP. Not to mention the lying in the management structure to keep friends 'in power' is disheartening and takes away any faith you once had in the management team.
Covid was strenuous to say the least from every aspect however having a pandemic and then having a pretty useless (yes i said that right i think during the meeting i used the term inept) supervisor that leaves documentation in the house for months (which means they never came inside the house) followed by questions regarding paperwork that is their responsibility and repairs for the clients property being ignored or shrugged off was not in the least bit helpful nor appreciated.
I would have given 1 star however like i said there are some good eggs every once in awhile that give you a peace of mind regarding clients or even your personal self outside of work. The clients are absolutely amazing and i will truthfully miss them all and will try to stay in contact with one or two of them on days when i know they dont have a dsp just to check in on them and make sure their doing alright. These individuals are absolutely amazing and its a damn shame that they get treated more as a static number than a person at times. Feel free to comment back Epilepsy but i have all the emails and texts to back up my truth and HR is only believing i have an authority complex due to me having to go above their pay grade to the CEO as well as the department of labor for Ohio to get things taken care of correctly according to applicable laws.
