Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, lots of great restaurants in the area.
Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, lots of great restaurants in the area.
They gave us the wrong room at first. I went there with my wife and they gave us 2 twin beds and gave me an attitude when I complained. I had to get a manager to change the room to the correct room . The keys to the new room didnt work and I had to go down to the lobby twice to get it working.
Stylish rooms, nice reception. Lack of fridge in the room, and a surprise fee of $20 per night made it 4 stars
Good hotel. Great cafe on site. Good service. Clean rooms, had the suite and it was nice.
Fantastic bar. Well air-conditioned. Friendly staff
Nice hotel with beautiful room design... too bad they did not give is complimentary water like other hotels. Seems they also run of employees since they just have 1 person on the front office and need more time to keep our luggage in the luggage room
We wouldn't recommend this hotel which is disappointing as we loved the location.
There were 2 large dogs in the room next to ours that barked every time they heard a noise. So we had very little sleep we were not advised at check in about this situation.
Rooms are small, but have everything you should need. Rooftop pool is nice.
The hotel was well kept and the staff was welcoming.
Super clean and organized check out wasnt a hassle at all will definitely go back.
Not much interaction with staff, which can be good. At check out, bill was different that what was provided over the phone (room rate + tax) issue was not fixed. Claiming that whoever provided rate was wrong. It was only 20 bucks over, but for the people that came here for a meeting, which came out of our budget, it adds up.
Location is perfect if you want to walk around. Expect a vintage feeling if you will stay here
Went over the bridge from Fairfax area for my fiancee's 42nd birthday. Looked amazing on Jetsetter and the reviews seemed OK. We were hoping to invite friends to join us poolside and were glad events occurred as they did because what an embarrassment! Generally, I stick to what I know and this time trying something new back fired. I generally stay at the Renaissance Capitol View in Arlington but we decided to be "in the city".
These rooms were smaller than a college dorm room with college dorm quality beds. They were "cozy" (if that means very small you can't help but be close) but they were squished together and definitely not sound proofed. The windows were old and insulation sucked so you could hear people partying all night on the roof top and in the hallways.
The rooms look totally different online almost like they were staged in a studio for a special photo shoot and I felt bamboozled. They had to switch our room as the one they put us in was supposed to be out of service. It wasn't communicated properly and so the first guy basically put us in a condemned room and if I hadn't called to complain we probably would have been forced to stay there anyway. The second room was not any better. The appliances on the desk were broken. The manager was supposed to call us but instead a maintenance man was sent up and said they already knew it was broken. Do you think I ever heard from the manager? Any sincere apologies? NO! The staff was rude and the place is a sub par hotel. The decor is nice but it is the band aid over the bigger issue so to speak. The glitter and gold is supposed to distract you from the real issues.
The pool, I thought it was heated, I guess not. It was quite cloudy anyway. The people who were swimming in it, I couldn't even see straight to the bottom where their feet were. I expected from all the sparkle, the water would be sparkling spring water quality. Asking too much? The pool in about 12'x 12', very small. Again flash but no bang! It definitely was a waste of money. If I am spending almost $200 a night for a room, I want something that is more comfortable than my own home especially since I only live 15 minutes over the bridge from the hotel in Northern Virginia. The double bed... a full size bed not even a queen. This is a hotel for the 20 something wanna be not for the young professional with a middle class income. Definitely a let down from what I expected.
No fridge and no working ice machine (They had a sign saying they were awaiting parts, so is there no alternative or follow up information like can we get ice from the restaurant instead?)! How can you have both. SO I have a bottle of champagne, can't ice it and there is no min fridge.. this is a cheesy hotel that's way over inflated in both buck and value!
The staff? Rude and not personable. However the kid in the coffee shop in the morning was awesome!! He was very nice and actually held a conversation with me telling me about their coffee on tap like a Guinness. I will stop by on my next trip in the city and try his coffee brew! Everyone else was stuffy and rude. They didn't ask how our stay was or even follow up after switching our room to see if it was even to standard. And the non existent manager never even called our room back. We stayed in room 513.
Very nice boutique hotel. Excellent service. Prime location. Great value. I can't wait to return.
Professional staff, friendly... a coffee shop around the corner, and on Sunday a farmer's market
There is no room service, the room are good but the bathroom is small, I would recommend hotel Palomar which is in the parallel street.
Hotel fine.
Bar and restaurant area could do with more staff.
One menu between twenty people!
Incredible hotel!! Great lobby and rooms were very clean. Friendly staff
Olga was very helpful. And a wonderful personality. Easier checked us in and was great he answered all of my questions.
Rooms smell, 1st room they put me in the ceiling had water dripping and running down the wall. Asked to be moved to another and acted like it was inconvenient for them.
Not as clean as expected... the air conditioning didn t do its job, which certainly was an inconvenience with freezing temperatures outside.
Staff is great, very well decorated. Rooms were nice and clean
Stayed at the embassy hotel this last weekend. Hotel was comfortable and location perfect.
Ideally situated for exploring Washington. The underground station is a 2 minutes walk from the hotel.
The only thing that let it down was the bar / restaurant was not open at our time of stay.
Helper is good person, front office is friendly, nice rooms with bathtub, nice lobby, ATM available, just steps to train station. I Loooove this hotel.
This is a 1-star hotel. Poor customer service , we carried our luggage by hand to the room, no refrigerator, no microwave, no breakfast or drinks. When I called to make reservations I was told there's microwave and refrigerator, Even the city view room is the worst view of the city. wasted my money and time. Worst hotel that I've ever lodged. If there's zero star I would give this hotel
I order from this website a hotel cost me $95
Than they took $50 deposit when I asked why they said service I didn t get any services also deposit should be if we use stuff from hotel I didn t use anything then they took $31 for just half day as parking when i saw it was free parking
How can we trust this website when stuff being different in hotel
Spacious and well-appointed rooms, quiet area with several rooms. Nearby metro.
Great location, nicely decor. They offer valet parking (at an extra cost).
Air conditioning wasn t working we called room service and they had someone come look at the room, changed dirty filter but room still didn t cool down. Went to the roof top pool asked for a menu they said food was on only weekends. Went to get some food since we were told there was no food when we got back we were rudely told no outside food and that there is food downstairs. The only pleasant service was Aisha at the front desk and the valet
Clean quiet hotel with easy access to metro station and DuPont circle. The hotel also had valet, restaurant, and in house coffee shop should you have need. Worth noting is the unexpected "convenience" fee of circa $100 that is added to every bill at check out because they provide WiFi and an indoor playground.
The rooms are comfortable, the bathroom comfortable and clean.
Great location. Great value for money. Cool. Playroom downstairs and a fun rooftop!
They had room reservation issues. Fine otherwise. Great rooftop pool
Air was broke and constantly blew heat, phone didn't work to connect to operator, and internet wouldn't work. To be fair, after heading downstairs they sent a technician to fix the air in about five minutes, and after checking to make sure the internet wasn't working on our phone and computer they reset it.
10/10 the staff was nice and gave us benefits for our engagement. Great location and beautiful rooms.
Nice place to stay. Nice area. Had an issue with the ac in our room they quickly moved us to another room and threw in a free breakfast.for the trouble .
Check in was quick and employees are nice. Rooms are nice. Ours was a bit dusty and not sure they fully vacuum room but otherwise ok. The toiletries smell great (nest brand). Didn't really utilize the bar or coffee shop but they looked nice whenever we passed them. Location is nice and right off DuPont Circle.
It was a really good experience to stay in this hotel. High speed internet, excellent neighborhood, super clean rooms and awesome staff - that's why I think they deserve a 5 star review!
The view is amazing and the drinks are what you'd expect to pay for such a great atmosphere. It was an amazing location to watch the sunset.
It is a good hotel. However, it is not a 5 or 4 star hotel. I would say 3 stars. It has a place to eat, but it is very expensive. Although everything in DC seems to be expensive. So it may be possible that you simply have "normal" prices for the area. It is very well located in the area where all the embassies are. I can not stay long.
We love it here. Lovely surroundings. Treated with such care. Lots to do in the hotel. Great location for a lot of what we want to do in the city. Small pool, but it serves the purpose and is OPEN unlike other outside pools.
It's a gorgeous hotel in a superb location. I'm not sure that I would stay here after briefly visiting with a wedding party. People who had flown in for the wedding stayed at the hotel, and I and the rest of the locals met them in the lobby to wait for shuttles to the ceremony. After being told the shuttles were delayed by 45 minutes, a few of us decided to get some drinks at the bar in front. We went up and waited for someone to take our order and were ignored. We finally followed one person for about a minute and asked if we could order, and were ignored. We went up to another person, and were told to wait. Then one customer, then another walked up and were immediately served. Maybe they only serve hotel guests? Really rude in any case.
Great hotel at Dupont Circle. The renovation looks great
I made a reservation for the 6th of July online and was informed by the front desk lady that check-in wouldn't be until 3pm the next day considering they were out of rooms for the night. She advised me to call the 3rd party company that had charged my card to have them make the refund for me. I left, called the company( Travelweb-priceline) and explained my situation. I was informed that they wouldn't be able to do anything about it and to speak with the hotel. I spoke to several people and eventually Derrick, the Front desk manager at the hotel who advised me of his helplessness in the situation and to file a complaint with travelweb. I spoke to someone at travelweb and yet again was informed I wouldn't be getting a refund even though I never checked-in, I asked for the manager. After a 3 minute hold for the manager he spent no less than 30 seconds in telling me that they wouldn't do anything about it and to talk to the hotel again. This is a complaint more about the service provided by these two companies and not as much about the money even though they clearly knew I wasn't going to be checking in the next day. I'm filing a dispute with my card company, and the BBB.
Great hotel!! Location is superb and the decor is outstanding!! Rooftop pool is great for hanging out with drinks and food. Rooms are great!!
Boutique hotel well decorated....ckean and friendly staff. Love the rooftop and cafe outdoor seating! Gym was nice size clean and organized! Would stay here again!
Let me start by this is my first review ever... Got a deal via hotel s website and spoke to two reps to confirm what was included, at check out got s bill with surprise charges that should have been a part of the package according to their reservations reps. Pretty disappointed in their communication and customer service.
Rooms were super small, fridge is an extra cost. Mattress is terrible. Rooms are somewhat run down and one of the three nights we didn t even have housekeeping, and we were out all day sightseeing so it s not like we were in the room and they couldn't do it.
Lobby is very cute with a ping pong table. Rooftop is cute as well, even though the pool is much smaller than pictured. Great location. Those were the only highlights of the place.
Customer service is lacking. This certainly did not feel like a 4 star hotel. Would not come back or recommend this to anyone. Plenty of other hotels in the area or close by that I would try before ever returning here.
Lovely place janay hughes made her way to get our transport back to airport she get assist to hotel
If i could give these place 0 stars i would I woke up to bumps to change the sheets and saw bed bugs when I told them about the problem they brushed it off and told me i couldn t get a refund the staff was very rude
Definitely a place I would recommend. Good location; superb staff: friendly and accommodating; clean, elegant.
Great location. Fairly reasonable prices. Nice rooms. No complaints about the service or room.
Very sheek, quiet and clean. Nice view from my room. I felt very comfortable.
Decent sized room, quick check-in, and the gym is pretty sizeable too.
Lovely rooftop setting during the early an early summer sunset evening with friends
The only good thing about this hotel is its location. Had to switch rooms since AC was crazy loud, there are better options for the same price.
Nice hotel it's all about location. Jaromir footsteps from The Dupont Circle area and a great variety of restaurants and shopping.
Room was nice, a bit small but it got the job done. Parking was waaaaay too expensive. 45 a night plus a parking tax? That's ridiculous.
Everything was fine. Stayed there for 4 nights. Also has ping pong and fusball in the lower floor!
Clean hotel and friendly staff. Always get good experience
Beautiful hotel! Very clean and spacious rooms.. located close to the attractions.. great location! We had a blast staying here!
The hotel was comfortable and clean. It's easy to hear people outside the room and they only have valet parking.
Amazing hotel with great amenities! Staff 8s very accommodating and location is centralized for easy access to restaurants, entertainment, etc.
I attended a New Year's Eve party here. I think the thing that turned me off about the experience was the lack of parking. So, before I even got inside the venue, I was annoyed. I drove around for about half an hour before I found somewhere to park. It didn't help that the parking enforcement officers were out in full force. Their valet parking was full because of the event. I came from out of town to attend this function, therefore, there was no option for me to take alternate transportation such as Uber or Lyft.
The venue itself was inviting. The party was held at the main entrance at the bar area. The square footage was sufficient for the number of attendees, and the seatings were very appropriate and comfortable. The guest bathrooms could have used an occasional monitor throughout the night. Overall, the hotel provided a satisfactory experience
Very well placed for Metro at DuPont circle. For location well priced. Clean room powerful air conditioning. Roof top pool on level 9.
Insert room card when in lift to make progress.
Great hotel. Very clean. Very close to the Dupont Station. Reasonable price. Very friendly staff. Nice little bar and coffee shop in the lobby. This is probably my new go to hotel in Dupont.
Room Cleanliness ------ very poor(
Hotel kitchen area cleanliness ------- extremely poor(dead mosquito on counter and microwave dressed in crums, possibly from many days ago.
Decided not to take pictures so that hopefully management will catch up with bad reviews and improve.
Make sure that you advertise your valet service is not included in the hotel stay.
Great location, nice price for DC, bar is great, rooms are nicely decorated however I had to switch rooms twice due to broken AC unit and then when I got into my functioning room the blow dryer was broken.
