They gave us the wrong room at first. I went there with my wife and they gave us 2 twin beds and gave me an attitude when I complained. I had to get a manager to change the room to the correct room . The keys to the new room didnt work and I had to go down to the lobby twice to get it working.

Nice hotel with beautiful room design... too bad they did not give is complimentary water like other hotels. Seems they also run of employees since they just have 1 person on the front office and need more time to keep our luggage in the luggage room

We wouldn't recommend this hotel which is disappointing as we loved the location.
There were 2 large dogs in the room next to ours that barked every time they heard a noise. So we had very little sleep we were not advised at check in about this situation.

Not much interaction with staff, which can be good. At check out, bill was different that what was provided over the phone (room rate + tax) issue was not fixed. Claiming that whoever provided rate was wrong. It was only 20 bucks over, but for the people that came here for a meeting, which came out of our budget, it adds up.

Went over the bridge from Fairfax area for my fiancee's 42nd birthday. Looked amazing on Jetsetter and the reviews seemed OK. We were hoping to invite friends to join us poolside and were glad events occurred as they did because what an embarrassment! Generally, I stick to what I know and this time trying something new back fired. I generally stay at the Renaissance Capitol View in Arlington but we decided to be "in the city".

These rooms were smaller than a college dorm room with college dorm quality beds. They were "cozy" (if that means very small you can't help but be close) but they were squished together and definitely not sound proofed. The windows were old and insulation sucked so you could hear people partying all night on the roof top and in the hallways.

The rooms look totally different online almost like they were staged in a studio for a special photo shoot and I felt bamboozled. They had to switch our room as the one they put us in was supposed to be out of service. It wasn't communicated properly and so the first guy basically put us in a condemned room and if I hadn't called to complain we probably would have been forced to stay there anyway. The second room was not any better. The appliances on the desk were broken. The manager was supposed to call us but instead a maintenance man was sent up and said they already knew it was broken. Do you think I ever heard from the manager? Any sincere apologies? NO! The staff was rude and the place is a sub par hotel. The decor is nice but it is the band aid over the bigger issue so to speak. The glitter and gold is supposed to distract you from the real issues.

The pool, I thought it was heated, I guess not. It was quite cloudy anyway. The people who were swimming in it, I couldn't even see straight to the bottom where their feet were. I expected from all the sparkle, the water would be sparkling spring water quality. Asking too much? The pool in about 12'x 12', very small. Again flash but no bang! It definitely was a waste of money. If I am spending almost $200 a night for a room, I want something that is more comfortable than my own home especially since I only live 15 minutes over the bridge from the hotel in Northern Virginia. The double bed... a full size bed not even a queen. This is a hotel for the 20 something wanna be not for the young professional with a middle class income. Definitely a let down from what I expected.

No fridge and no working ice machine (They had a sign saying they were awaiting parts, so is there no alternative or follow up information like can we get ice from the restaurant instead?)! How can you have both. SO I have a bottle of champagne, can't ice it and there is no min fridge.. this is a cheesy hotel that's way over inflated in both buck and value!

The staff? Rude and not personable. However the kid in the coffee shop in the morning was awesome!! He was very nice and actually held a conversation with me telling me about their coffee on tap like a Guinness. I will stop by on my next trip in the city and try his coffee brew! Everyone else was stuffy and rude. They didn't ask how our stay was or even follow up after switching our room to see if it was even to standard. And the non existent manager never even called our room back. We stayed in room 513.

This is a 1-star hotel. Poor customer service , we carried our luggage by hand to the room, no refrigerator, no microwave, no breakfast or drinks. When I called to make reservations I was told there's microwave and refrigerator, Even the city view room is the worst view of the city. wasted my money and time. Worst hotel that I've ever lodged. If there's zero star I would give this hotel

Air conditioning wasn t working we called room service and they had someone come look at the room, changed dirty filter but room still didn t cool down. Went to the roof top pool asked for a menu they said food was on only weekends. Went to get some food since we were told there was no food when we got back we were rudely told no outside food and that there is food downstairs. The only pleasant service was Aisha at the front desk and the valet

Clean quiet hotel with easy access to metro station and DuPont circle. The hotel also had valet, restaurant, and in house coffee shop should you have need. Worth noting is the unexpected "convenience" fee of circa $100 that is added to every bill at check out because they provide WiFi and an indoor playground.

Air was broke and constantly blew heat, phone didn't work to connect to operator, and internet wouldn't work. To be fair, after heading downstairs they sent a technician to fix the air in about five minutes, and after checking to make sure the internet wasn't working on our phone and computer they reset it.

Check in was quick and employees are nice. Rooms are nice. Ours was a bit dusty and not sure they fully vacuum room but otherwise ok. The toiletries smell great (nest brand). Didn't really utilize the bar or coffee shop but they looked nice whenever we passed them. Location is nice and right off DuPont Circle.

It was a really good experience to stay in this hotel. High speed internet, excellent neighborhood, super clean rooms and awesome staff - that's why I think they deserve a 5 star review!

It is a good hotel. However, it is not a 5 or 4 star hotel. I would say 3 stars. It has a place to eat, but it is very expensive. Although everything in DC seems to be expensive. So it may be possible that you simply have "normal" prices for the area. It is very well located in the area where all the embassies are. I can not stay long.

We love it here. Lovely surroundings. Treated with such care. Lots to do in the hotel. Great location for a lot of what we want to do in the city. Small pool, but it serves the purpose and is OPEN unlike other outside pools.

It's a gorgeous hotel in a superb location. I'm not sure that I would stay here after briefly visiting with a wedding party. People who had flown in for the wedding stayed at the hotel, and I and the rest of the locals met them in the lobby to wait for shuttles to the ceremony. After being told the shuttles were delayed by 45 minutes, a few of us decided to get some drinks at the bar in front. We went up and waited for someone to take our order and were ignored. We finally followed one person for about a minute and asked if we could order, and were ignored. We went up to another person, and were told to wait. Then one customer, then another walked up and were immediately served. Maybe they only serve hotel guests? Really rude in any case.

I made a reservation for the 6th of July online and was informed by the front desk lady that check-in wouldn't be until 3pm the next day considering they were out of rooms for the night. She advised me to call the 3rd party company that had charged my card to have them make the refund for me. I left, called the company( Travelweb-priceline) and explained my situation. I was informed that they wouldn't be able to do anything about it and to speak with the hotel. I spoke to several people and eventually Derrick, the Front desk manager at the hotel who advised me of his helplessness in the situation and to file a complaint with travelweb. I spoke to someone at travelweb and yet again was informed I wouldn't be getting a refund even though I never checked-in, I asked for the manager. After a 3 minute hold for the manager he spent no less than 30 seconds in telling me that they wouldn't do anything about it and to talk to the hotel again. This is a complaint more about the service provided by these two companies and not as much about the money even though they clearly knew I wasn't going to be checking in the next day. I'm filing a dispute with my card company, and the BBB.

Let me start by this is my first review ever... Got a deal via hotel s website and spoke to two reps to confirm what was included, at check out got s bill with surprise charges that should have been a part of the package according to their reservations reps. Pretty disappointed in their communication and customer service.
Rooms were super small, fridge is an extra cost. Mattress is terrible. Rooms are somewhat run down and one of the three nights we didn t even have housekeeping, and we were out all day sightseeing so it s not like we were in the room and they couldn't do it.
Lobby is very cute with a ping pong table. Rooftop is cute as well, even though the pool is much smaller than pictured. Great location. Those were the only highlights of the place.
Customer service is lacking. This certainly did not feel like a 4 star hotel. Would not come back or recommend this to anyone. Plenty of other hotels in the area or close by that I would try before ever returning here.

I attended a New Year's Eve party here. I think the thing that turned me off about the experience was the lack of parking. So, before I even got inside the venue, I was annoyed. I drove around for about half an hour before I found somewhere to park. It didn't help that the parking enforcement officers were out in full force. Their valet parking was full because of the event. I came from out of town to attend this function, therefore, there was no option for me to take alternate transportation such as Uber or Lyft.

The venue itself was inviting. The party was held at the main entrance at the bar area. The square footage was sufficient for the number of attendees, and the seatings were very appropriate and comfortable. The guest bathrooms could have used an occasional monitor throughout the night. Overall, the hotel provided a satisfactory experience
