The Edison Diner Review

We had omelettes and home fries. I also asked for hollandaise sauce on the side. Very generous portions. Loved being able to do indoor dining again. Good contact tracing procedure in place. Not crowded and kept everybody spread out. Pancakes were only so so. Will definitely be back again!!

burgers were great, even the Impossible burger! service attentive and fast.

Excellent food, reasonable prices, and a great big menu. We'll definitely be back.

Was taken here after fencing and I was impressed on how clean the place was. Great lighting! Almost felt like I was at a restaurant. The waiters are dressed clean and professional! The food was AMAZING!!!! Loved the meal I had. The place is very reasonably priced. You get a lot for what you pay for. Great milkshakes and coffee. Loved this place and will definitely come back again for the breakfast!

Food was good. Service was slow. Our waiter disappeared after asking us what we wanted to drink, only to ever be seen across the room. If it wasn't for flagging down a different waiter, we probably would have left hungry.

Very disappointing to take my wife out for Valentine's dinner at our favorite place to eat .I realize it was going to be busy but after the third table that sat down after us received the meals and were almost finished and we still waiting for nearly an hour from arrival really upset us.Then our meals came out and my wifes chicken Franchess over linguine came out very watered down ,almost baring no taste with the noodles dried out on one side of the plate .My dinner as well was not good.If it wasn't for not wanting to ruin other customers special day I would have complained to management but we just told the waiter and left.We decided against eating and left.Truely a shame from a place that was consistently good.

Well I don t really write reviews but the food here is amazing and I REALLY WISH THAT THEY COULD REOPEN AGAIN BECAUSE I M CRAVING EDISON DINER MORE THEN EVER!!! I miss everything about this place. Please re-open again!!

I really enjoyed my time with my sister at the diner the music was nice and we had the friendliest waitress, she was helpful with our order.

Large portions but kids pasta was worst pasta ever. Grilled cheese gross.

Really nice place. Had pancakes and bacon really early in the morning and everything was great.

Never had a bad meal , omelette just a little over cooked but still enjoyed it

Great food with great prices and an excellent staff

This is the only place that always gets the orders right and we never have a single complaint. The food is always absolutely amazing and the staff is very helpful and patient.

Service was great. I ordered the founder francese. It did not have a citrus taste. Not horrible just not good. Plus I got sick right after I got home. Not a place I want to go back too.

Really good food at all hours of the day. Many diner's lack in food quality after hours but Edison diner does not. Best cheascake you can find in central NJ!

My wife and i go often for breakfast the service is always the best the manager knows well we are regulars and always treats us well.

This is definitely below- the-average diner. I was there with my family for breakfast. My kid ordered pancakes with FRESH strawberries on a side. The strawberries were almost white, had no taste. Who serves previously frozen strawberries in NJ in the end of MAY??
Our waitresses's response - "It is what it is"...
The other meals were bland but edible.

Myself and coworkers spotted this restaurant on the daily commute from the hotel to work in Edison as a new branch of the company recently transitioned to Edison. We were all pleasantly surprised with the quality, price, and enormous variety of the menu. It was a late night, well after 11pm, when we left work looking for an open restaurant. Service was great, and the food was even better. Well probably tell others about the experience and go back if as we know this place stays open late.

Went here for dinner tonight with 4 other people. I ordered a California cheese burger, cooked medium well, which never came out. Was told, " it was served to someone else." The waiter came out with one bloody inside. Sent that back. The table was now finished with diner and out comes the burger, burnt. Told them to keep it. Management came over and offered to cook me a burger to go. I agreed. Big mistake. Opened the burger when I got home, and it was the one I cut open at the resturaunt. Haven't been here in a while and will not be back .

Oh my gosh, so much food! The prices seem a bit on the high side until your meal is delivered and it's 3x the size you were expecting! I got the chicken parm sandwich, which was huge and cheesy, though I wished it had more sauce. Our server was great and brought everything out quickly.

A couple friends and myself decided to go to Edison Diner and without our knowledge they added the tip to the bill which I think is extremely unprofessional. I should be allowed to tip the server on his or her service not on what you tell me to. Sorry but a $8 tip on a $30 meal is extremely ridiculous, and to top if off thier were completely rude. We will never return. If I could give zero stars I would

I used to say this was the best diner in all of New Jersey however the food was not as good as it normally is Maybe it was just an off day

A Fabulous, original, old school diner with kick ass, great food.

Very clean diner with wide selection. Very fast service, but top-notch diner food. Would definitely recommend this diner above others in the area.

Went for dinner with my fiance after reading positive reviews. Wait staff was not very friendly. The food was very dry and needed seasoning BADLY!

Your classic Jersey Dinner! The food was well prepared. The wait unexpectedly short despite being packed. This will be my go to dinner.

The food is decent and comes in large quantities, However, you pay way more than you would ever expect at a diner.

Great place, pretty fast service. Went here 2 days in a row during our lunch break. The French onion soup is amazing! They have a huge variety of dishes to choose from, big portions and fair prices. My co-worker got a lunch special both times, and both days they forgot to give her her dessert. When we mentioned it, they were more than happy to accommodate her for the inconvenience. I would definitely recommend this place.
