Called in after a lovely walk in the area. All round excellent service. Everyone we had contact with was very professional and polite. Food was amazing too. Looking forward to return.

To every person who reads this review I would like to say I have been going to The Down inn for over 25 years and never ever had a meal that was not first class in they get better every time , and to day i had a sirloin steak with the best chips i have ever tasted plus a selection of mixed veg that was to die for .I have eaten in restrants all over the World but the finest was to day at the Down Inn

Went for a nice meal on our wedding anniversary. Despite the normal covid restrictions the friendliness and pleasant staff made this a great experience. Food was excellent and the place is in a great countryside location. Really pleased and will visit again.

Warm and welcoming. Rooms were well equipped and spacious.
Staff very friendly and couldn t do enough to help.

A must visit if in the area or even for a few days away.

The food was really delicious and all the staff were very polite. The amount of food on the plate was more than enough! Unfortunately we had no room for dessert! Lots of parking space and felt really safe (during covid).

I never usually leave reviews but....just returned from a short two night break at the Down Inn - and what an absolute gem of a place! Book to go...you will not regret it. Rural countryside setting, just a few miles outside Bridgnorth, it was all so very peaceful and relaxing. Spotlessly clean room, lovely big comfy bed, fantastic food, all freshly cooked - and every member of staff that we came across was friendly and attended to any request that we had immediately and with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble and both my wife and myself would like to send our sincerest thanks to Steve and his team. We definitely will be back! Brilliant stay! 5 Star...
