My boy was totally engaged. Had four of my guys and one of them doesn't do well outside in the big bad world, this place was set up in such a way that they were all bouncing happily. They're all under 6 but there was something for all of them, didn't even have to try to entertain the youngest or the oldest to keep everyone together while the others had fun. Don't bring a stroller, there's plenty of space and access to everything even if on wheels but the smallest was so into everything it was nonstop action. Our stroller basically got ditched lol.
We figured two hours tops, but as I sit in the car to give the dog and the baby rest 3 hours from arrival I'm thinking we're going to have to drag the other three kids out kicking and screaming. My boy who needs the dog didn't even bat an eye at her leaving to wait in the car for him! It's been a wonderful afternoon, a good one for me. Dad is super brainy so he loves that there's a whole section dedicated to the space sciences. Everything hands on, everything engages more then just two senses.

As a California resident, I appreciate my annual escape to east Texas. Our trip is not complete with out taking the kids to the Discovery Science Place. Use the Groupon discount.
Glad to see a few new things, like the fluff balls through the air tubes. Kids love the grocery store and restaurant. The News Studio brings out the inner actors

We keep our eye out for Groupon's for here. It makes it a steal! We enjoy taking our young kids here, 3, 2 and 1. They have such a fun time! The baby nursery is probably their favorite part but we have fun with all the other more scientific toys as well! Staff has always been friendly and the place is always clean. It's not huge, but that's great for our age range and it's nice to have something so close. Thank you!

this was a really cool facility to visit. They have an awesome make-believe play space for the children that includes the grocery store restaurant bank and children's hospital where kids can make believe. the science and Discovery site of the museum is also fantastic it's a great place to bring your little ones and there is also some fun things for adults to do as they supervise.

This is a cute little museum if you have kids. It is more of a children's museum than anything. They have fun little stations for kids to do little experiments, plus a little mountain and ship they can walk through. It isn't really big, but it is still fun. My husband and I visited it and even as adults it was still fun, but it is definitely centered around children.

My son loved it. He didn't want to leave. We enjoyed it as well, although there is not really much for the adults to do. However, there is just enough things around to stave off boredom for parents and guardians. I would really like to give it 4.5 stars out of 5, but the google system does not allow it.

Every kiddo from pre-k through Middle School should be granted the exciting opportunity to explore just how fun the broad spectrum of science can actually be - and this unique and Interactive learning Playland is undoubtedly one of the best places to do so! That is, of course, if you actually have time 2 see and do everything possible while you are visiting, on any single day! Love it, love it, love it! This place deserves 6 Stars, if only Google Maps would allow it! My eight year old son and I have only been here once, that being merely a few weeks ago at the beginning of January. However, he is not the only one who is more than eager to return! Upon leaving, after hours inside, there were still many things to explore and discoveries to be made! Fun and learning for everyone!

The workers were very rude and unaccommodating. A scheduling conflict arose on the part of DSP, and instead of helping to resolve the matter they instead blamed us, and were very demeaning to us. The attractions are very rundown and uncleaned, they need a repair overhaul, so don't expect much of what you use to learn to actually work. The staff followed us around to make sure we didn't break anything over our anger with the scheduling conflict but don't worry, there was nothing left to break. Most of the interactive exhibits were filthy and unorganized. They should have worried about those issues instead of hovering over us. I would highly recommend spending your hard earned money elsewhere, the workers won't let you have an enjoyable time and you don't receive the full experience. Higher managment needs to step in and fix this once fun attraction. I will recomend to everyone who is seeking an enjoyable family friendly experience to not even consider this place. 0/5 stars.

It has been a while since we have been here and it has gone down hill. Many of the things were broken or not working correctly and everything seems a little worn and needs to be updated. Not sure if they are having funding issues, but something isn't quite right.

We have a family membership at a reciprocal museum with Tyler. We drove to Tyler to check out this museum since we heard good things about it. But we wouldn t return if got the chance. Waco museum is way better. Not to mention they didn t want to let us in due to we didn t when a membership card because it takes 2-3 weeks before you receive it In the mail..... save your money and travel somewhere else to a museum or better yet go to a zoo .

My daughter loved it! Awesome dinosaur exhibit. There was a wide variety of different life skills for kids to learn through interaction. They should probably think about replacing the courthouse station with something else as I noticed not one single kid played in it the whole time.

We took two children that are 4-5 years old. They loved it. There are a few items that even adults will like but the set up is ideal for young children to use their imagination. Be a police officer, a banker, doctor, vet or work on a tv station set. Dig for dinosaur bones and drive a pirate ship.

This is a great children's museum. Probably best for children between 4 to 7. They do have a play area for the younger kids. The fun attractions are the big ship, fossil dig, climbing wall, the kinetic room, and the large play area where children can pretend to go shopping, be a vet, be a doctor, work at a bank, courtroom, and restaurant. Costumes are also available to dress up. Also don't miss the space room. They do have a gift shop but there is no eating area. Price is very reasonable.

They invited us to a birthday and the children had a great time, in addition to the celebration, for all the things that can be done there. It was so fun, that the following week we made the annual pass.
It has a "play to be" section, build with different materials, climbing wall, television studio, discover space, physical experiments ... We can spend hours and there is always something new to do!

We are from Massachusetts and are visiting our granddaughter who lives in Tyler. We were a little apprehensive about bringing her not knowing if she d be able to participate. She s 18 months and although she couldn t participate in every activity she was able to have the freedom to roam around, explore, climb, touch and feel all kinds of things. The facility is clean, imaginative, well thought out and loads of fun for all ages. Bring snacks; there s a special snack room to chill, have your snack and go right back in for more fun. My 18 month granddaughter stayed for 4 hours! I highly recommend this special place

I took my great grandchildren age 3 and 7 yesterday. Summer camp program was going on when we arrived. Parking was difficult to find and took about 15 minutes to find a spot. There were kids participating in the camp approximately 7-12 years old running every where. They had little supervision that I could see and dominated most of the activities. My great granddaughter tried to participate in the grocery store but was informed by these children that they worked there and she needed to let them check her out. The 3 year old was nearly knocked down by a group running through the cave walk way. I saw children in one area beating each other with something similar to pool noodles. Obviously could not play there. The TV set had about 5 children in it. One child spent the entire time we were in that area screaming at my great granddaughter because she wasn t participating like he wanted her too. All in all it was a disappointing experience and waste of money. We won t be returning any time soon and certainly not when a camp is taking place.

There were too many of the activities broken. Camera play room was not working, iPad to learn about ships not working, lights on map not working, train table buttons not working .... and so on. My kids had a good time but it would have been 4-5 starts if it was kept up better.

My husband and I took our two kids ages 3 and 2, plus my brothers ages 8 and 11. They all had a great time and said they would like to go back. It was a little busy, and some parents were letting their older kids run around and act crazy. But all in all we had a great experience and will definitely visit again!

This place is cozy and Food is good, The service was a bit slow at the beginning but normalized through the course of the stay. I had pork stew Saturday special and it was really flavorful but too spicy. That's why 4 stars. Less spicy and it would've been great. Overall place is great.
