Impossible to get an answer to even basic questions. Mother-in-law started in Davis rehab (1 month), then moved to Davis LTC after a meeting where we were told there was no chance of her getting better, she would only get worse. Requested to speak to doctor multiple times and received a bunch of useless emails. 5 days after we cleared her apartment and sold all her stuff they tell us she's going to assisted living where she will need bedroom and living room furniture (literally 5 days)!! After refusing to move her without talking to the doctor, we had a meeting - told she had a stroke. No one had told us this. We've had a POA in place for 5 years. I made sure they had a copy of it as soon as she entered the facility. Now can't get paperwork filled out for an insurance rider. They will gladly take my money, but won't help me get anything back. Don't just avoid - run away from this place.

My first visit here. One of Wilmington's very best ! Elegant interior decoration, a sprawling, protected campus with several buildings and very gracious staff ! My friend in Rehab says the cuisine is excellent. But Rehab patients need SOME social contact and activities too!

I have found the staff at the Davis community some of the most sincere, honest and compassionate people I have ever met. The administration is remarkably in tune with their mission and I believe walk the talk every day.

Best in the area. The buildings have live in pets on staff. As best as I can tell the animals relieve stress for both the patients and the staff. Mom seems happy and well taken care of. Staff seems friendly. Place is clean and well maintained.

On frequent visits I could find no help on the hall. Absolutely not one caregiver to converse with! Under staffed, perhaps, but for the extreme cost, you would expect more access to staff....

I have had such a great experience working with the staff at The Davis Community. Charles Long, specifically, has been very easy to communicate with and the entire Marketing team is delightful! Definitely interested in visiting soon!

The facility is lovely and the food is pretty good. PT folks are very capable. The attending physician Dr. Surak is TOP NOTCH, caring, compassionate with great communication skills.

However, we were extremely disappointed in the case manager K. She was surly, unrespondive, did not provide any useful information about the patient's status, and did very little coordination when the patient was discharged at the family's request.

Once your loved one has died they throw their belongings to the curb like trash, not being careful and breaking pictures. This loved one was there for years and this is how it ends, so sad and disrespectful! I would not recommend this place.

I am now at Davis most all of the staff are excellent there is one that has an attitude but I called her on it and now it is fine. The higher ups have me their personal cell numbers if I ever have a problem. Excellent place to be, I has an emergency trip back to NEW HANOVER after bring at NEW HANOVER for almost 2 months, when I came back to rehab I got a lot of hugs and staff saying glad to see you back, they would see me in the room and stop and talk, wonderful place totally.
