Don't come here if you have a disability. Lack of seating and lack of staff sympathy (with staff smirking when asked to provide a seat for someone who can't stand for long periods of time) makes it a very unpleasant experience.
I had so much fun, so many times in this place it's amazing. The beers are magnificent great staff with great service. Free pool table and video games.
Went last night to see the amazing Skerryvore. First time in The Crescent and we were all really impressed. Not overcrowded, easy to see the gig, the bar staff and door staff were friendly and helpful. Fab, will definitely return.
Plenty of staff, good selection of beers and the price is right!! and the ambiance is great to.
Good pub with good ale and a relaxed atmosphere, there's a pool table live music and bands, they have lots of music nights and you can also smoke an e-cig so you don't have to go outside, the owner and staff are very helpful and make you feel welcome
Best venue in York. Outstanding artist bookings, great beer, great staff, free play games room. What more do you want? :)
Went to see Isaac Gracie here. Small venue strange smell but other than can't complain. Had a great night. Ncp parking round the corner was a bit pricey but the venue tickets where cheap so can't complain
Brilliant venue. Staff are very helpful. Set in a former wmc so it has a very good look!
The gigs here are amazing and are put on by very knowledgeable people. Joe from please please you books the best artists, and hosts the best gigs. Other members of the team are also sound as a pound. The sound guys are always bang on, and it's a great sounding venue. A real gem. Good drinks and the venue has bags of character. Overall 5/5. One of the main reasons to visit York!
Brilliant "small venue" round the corner from Mickle gate and the train station. Good range of ale and good PA system - Skylights YRA were good as well
Great atmosphere, excellent events, good community feeling. They get some great bands/acts on too. York's best little live venue.
Great music venue, a bit foisty smell when you first go in , but great sound.
