Wonderful stay from start to finish! From being greeted with a Smile and Champagne! They were even nice enough to upgrade us for free to accommodate my son with Special needs. Enjoyed the spacious room, soft beds, pool, and even got a o sit outside on my private patio to sip my coffee! Thank you for making our mini vacay super Special!

This was our second stay at The Cove. This time we decided to to upgrade and stayed in the King suite. We experienced multiple issues with this stay, with 2 to 3 inch sized cockroaches, freely going into the suite due to there being no weather striping under the door. The hide-away bed, which we needed still had the original shipping restraints in place, and the mattress was still in a plastic bag. We had no bedding provided for it, and when we went to get it, we were only given a blanket after a 20 minute wait, and shared pillows from the bed for it. The refrigerator had an ice maker, which was a big surprise, but since there was no water to it, it make a loud noise at it went through the process of ejecting the air from the molds, and all other noise associated with it. Turned it off when we realized what it was. While the guy at the desk said there was nothing he could do, since we had no pictures of the roaches, he could do nothing, but would let the manager know, and she would contact us. He was very fast to try to get us out of the entry, and seemed disinterested in helping, and told us we should have let them know that night and they would have given us a different room. Apparently after a long trip, the guy told us they would have moved us to another room, especially when we rented the one top suite, seemed like such a lack of customer service and major inconvience. The ONLY upside to the stay was when we wanted to check in early, "Marie" was really amazing, and went above and beyond to help us. They definitely have had adequate time to contact us, but failed on that also.

Update: When reading that the hotel responds to the 5 star ratings on Google, it is said they ignore the rest. In fact, the call from the manager never came. Nice hotel in looks, but pests, and some bad employees leave it a major let down.

I am looking for a hotel in Long Beach that offers a park and cruise package with a shuttle to the port! Does the Cove offer this??

Really amazing hotel with great service my best friend and I didn't know where to park our boat and truck so one of the employees was a huge help to us, it's also very quiet, safe, and clean. Definitely would stay there again.

This is a really nice Motel, newly remodeled from top to bottom. It doesn't look like much from the street, but the rooms are beautiful and so is the pool.

Took 45 min to check in. Room very hot! Took hours to cool down. Housekeeping never came the next day! Had to call 3 times. This is a pretty expensive hotel to "forget" to clean the room. Si disappointed to come back to this.

Only 1 complaint the $10 parking fee , which for me turned into a $40 charge for 4 days not acceptable. The hotel does have excellent service, spacious rooms. Pool, jumbo chest set, fire pit, small bar & laundry room.

My friends and family came from all over to go on a cruise and a wedding. We stayed at the Cove and it was amazing. The room was clean and comfortable but the best part of our stay besides family was the bar tender Candice and the front desk agent Preston. They were so kind and friendly. Above the norm. The way they delt with two "ladys" that had obviously had a few two many and was upset over wanting a free drink was perfect. A+ because of these two. I strongly recommend the blue margarita and staying at the Cove.

The hotel was everything we asked for and more. The rooms were really clean and the staff was nice. The beds are comfortable and the area is nice as well. Very much worth the money. The room with the tub is absolutely amazing!!!! This will be our spot when we come to Long Beach!

Beautiful room covid safe bar staff make you feel welcome and safe

We had a great first half of our honeymoon at the cove. The hotel is great, very clean, and the staff is very hospitable. James and the night bartender took very good care of us. If we come back to long beach we will definately stay here.

Decent rates and newly-redecorated hotel and upgraded to Ascend Collection. I like the elegant decor and the place is very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There's also a pool if you choose not to drive to the beach to go for a swim. The neighborhood does not seem very safe but this location is a winner due to how convenient it is to get to the beach and other attractions in Long Beach. It only takes 11-13 minutes to get to the Aquarium or Queen Mary even on a busy weekend like this with the Scots Festival and Comic con happening.

This was a nice hotel with some good amenities. They had a pool and firepit outside. They have a small lounge with food for purchase. No continental breakfast here. What I didn't like is that they made you pay $10 a day that you would park there even though they didn't have any security there to watch them. What exactly were we paying the extra money for???

Nice hotel. Many options for eating all fast food chains within walking distance. Supermarket opposite the hotel. Room modern equipped.

Very nice place to stay one night with the whole Family.

Worst experience ever. Absolutely no sleep. People partying in front of our room then a girl and guy were fighting in front of our room for 2 hours !!!! They then went inside for 5 minutes to come out to the same girl fighting with another girl for another 30 minutes.
Manager offered nothing!! Worst stay ever. If i could give zero stars it would be zero!!

My family and I stayed for 4 nights and it was wonderful! Staff was very attentive and helpful. Definitely would recommend this hotel. Thanks again!!

Phone lines are always busy definitely not worth the price and last time i was there POLICE was getting the registration for all the guest to run background on everyone!! Ended up arresting 5 people! Prostitutes having johns all hours of the nite. Used needles were in a bush in the hotel. WORST CASE SCENARIO

I wouldn't stay here cause they are Prejudice of Black Out Of Towners.

This place has changed! I live in Long Beach and we are remolding our house so we need to get a hotel and what a nice surprise this was. The room was large the bathroom is beautiful, you have to see the faucet . I've seen fountains do this but the bathroom sink faucet does it very well, you have to come see it. The staff are great, and they have a sense of humor.Everything was just right. The best Hotel in Long Beach.The lobby is beautiful and the pool is too. Loved staying here.

Sit by the pool. Have a couple cocktails. Splurge for dinner. You've earned this! Then go home and brag about it.

Needs a bath tub not just a shower. Nice rooms and a quite place with beautiful landscaping and very nice housekeeping staff. I would stay there again

The neighborhood is not quite what you want, but the hotel was incredible. Be aware that they do charge $10 for parking. Not a deal breaker, but it was unexpected. You do get free drinks at check in, so it was even Stevens.

I absolutely love this hotel! The rooms are very modern and comfy, Staff was nice and helpful..We had the room with balcony and led lights and the lighted pool brings a nice unique scenery i havnt seen in other hotels..I highly recommend this hotel, I actually am gonna make reservations today to stay..Thanks

Hotel itself is beautiful, recently renovated and very clean. Staff is very helpful and friendly. In Europe it will be considered solid 4* and in Italy all 5* :D
However there was some issues: our room had smell of cigarettes hidden under the air freshener (not hotel's fault though) and some of our towels were covered with black hair of previous guests. It's not that bad considering the price but the real issue is neighborhood. Hotel itself seems to be safe, but when you get outside it does not seem quite safe from first glance and it is not actually. We had a situation in which we had to call 911 because of some guy following our car.

Great establishment! Fancier than the building exterior would make you think. Clean rooms and gorgeous bathrooms for us; we were shocked at how swanky the latter was. Good bang for your buck and friendly staff to boot!

They are remodeling and should just shut the hotel down while they do so. No water in rooms till late afternoon, still want to charge full price, no breakfast absolutely terrible!!! No or very poor parking, rooms are mediocre at best, would not stay here again no matter what!

The Cove was plain outside, cute inside. The Staff was friendly, the room was pretty and clean. However the bed was uncomfortable. The air conditioner was old and loud. It would get very cold, then the thermostat would not turn the air back on until it was hot. The comforter was too thick and hot. So we would snuggle under it when the air was blasting then wake up hot and sweaty. The need a lighter blanket option. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable. The most important item in the room.

Love this hotel it was the first time I sayed there and I loved it, it is a very nice hotel that feels like home it is very nice inside and in the room the bathroom are also very nice loved staying here.

By far the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff is great, property is very clean and contemporary, amenities are amazing. Cant wait to come back!

The Cove was a perfect lil getaway..the hotel itself impressed me only because the outside looks like a regular building but inside it was so pretty the palm trees at the pool. Our room was so clean and smelled great . The restroom was also very clean and bright, great walk in shower..only bad thing that of course the hotel has no control of is the GHETTO LOUD screaming GUESTS smaking their kids at pool in front of me, they also had the kids save spots on at the sofas the other at the Fire pit, Terrible parenting. besides this I will definitely stay again.

This is a hidden gem of that once you experience the room and how comfortable it is you never wanna go anywhere else.

This hotel has the potential to be great with their new remodel. The room was nice and updated. Enjoyed the peaceful blue light.

The breakfast needs more options. There is room for a waffle maker and some hot foods. Cereal would even help. It was basically coffee, juice, yogurt, fruit, toast and pastries.

Customer service was great, pool was heated, champagne at check in, fire pit, comfortable beds, and vigilant security were all good things. They just need to fine tune the amenities.

Fantastic experience! The pool area is an absolutely awesome place for friends and family to hang out. Staff was very pleasant, professional and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful modern hotel. James the concierge was really cool & helpful. The room was top notch with the amenities we needed like a microwave and fridge. If they offered internet over the TV that would have made it perfect! But maybe if u bring an HDMI plug-in then you can use your laptop to stream your own movies or just surf the internet. Overall it was a pleasant stay in a really nice room with comfortable beds, bluetooth link ups and a huge shower with waterfall spouts and tile seating. I'd definitely book here again!

We stayed for 3 days with our staff for a convention (We are from Ohio) and it was nothing short of 5 star service! When we come back we are absolutely staying here again. Clean, updated, nice staff, informational and the outside "Cove area" is spectacular. It looks a little deceiving when you pull up but as soon as you walk in, you know you made the right decision. I 100% recommend!

WORST HOTEL EVER, DO NOT STAY HERE unless you like being woken up to LOUD construction at 8am. Rude manager and lousy staff. Courtyard marriot was cheaper and 1000x better. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HELL HOLE

Staff werent helpfulat all. They were Rude and cold. The room i booked was being painted and i had to switch rooms at 10:00pm

Location seemed decent, at least parking was monitored by parking security and tows cars that are not staying at hotel. It's been remodeled so rooms are new but could be better cleaned. Found tons of lint around bed and desk area. Water spots on mirror. Service is slow for front desk but not workers fault. They should have more help so check in is quicker.

Greeted with a glass of champagne while we checked in! Very nice and modern rooms. And the shower....WHOOOO! I want to live in the bathroom. Lol!

Customer service front desk was absolutely amazing, the room had an amazing view of the pool n giant chess board set. Very comfortable and considerate . Would definitely recommend to all my friends this hotel and staff are a joy n positive energy to be around

Super fancy hotel, with very nice rooms. Great style and taste, owner must have invested a ton of money to get such results. It sure shows! Take a look at the huge shower head!

I have stayed here a few years ago before it was renovated and renamed and now it's the best bargain in town. It's on par with a 4 star hotel at half the price. The hotel is modern, clean and the staff is friendly, The rooms are large, with modern amenities and bathroom. There's an on site bar and breakfast can be purchased for a modest price. Close to the Long Beach airport and lots of businesses and fast food restaurants nearby. Parking is plentiful, and the pool setting is beautiful. See photos for detailed pics of this hotel. Highly recommended, I will be staying here again on my next trip to Long Beach.

Clean rooms, close enough to everything Long Beach has to offer. Reservation got messed up through 3rd party site and staff couldnt fix, but tried. Overall nice place and much better price than downtown.

Don't judge the book by its cover! As soon as you walk in, total transformation. The tropical surroundings of the pool area (Cove) are very cool. Rooms are all upgraded and modern. Even has a bar now!

This hotel is magnificent! What a great staff and the courtyard is so inviting! If you get the chance, get a room with a balcony, it's very relaxing. The traffic noise isn't really an issue.

This is the best experience and uptown decor. The staff was amazing. Convenient to everything. Will stay again and recommend to anyone. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. So wonderful I can't even express.

Fabulous hotel! Spacious, serene room, comfortable bed with exquisite linens. I was especially pleased to find that they offer Temple Spa bath products! The grounds are lovely, with lounge areas scattered throughout the property. The pool is inviting. The staff is Absolutely delightful. James at the front desk and Laura, bartender extraordinaire. are truly the epitome of graciousness. This hotel is thoughtfully laid out, and everything is easy to find. We will definitely be back, and we happily recommend The Cove.

Nice decor, most comfortable beds besides Westin, great showers and super clean. Also enjoyed the high def tv & movie channels. Very comfortable stay.

Nice small toilet broken when we got there called 3 times no answer just message box. Had to go down to the lobby and wait before she acknowledged me, fortunately maintenance man came before that about 10 mins and he came to the room right away. He asked if we put anything down the drain we explained we just arrived. Overall nice beds, large tv, location close to a lot of fast food places and freeways.

Best hotel in my opinion woman with the blonde and black hair best worker, pool is very nice too room lights up blue and pool changes color at night
