The Commons at Fort Mill Review

This is a great apartment community I am living from last 3 years around and It has spacious rooms and Great view of Swimming pool .a lot parking space. I love this place.

The worst apartment complex I have stayed in. Maintenance request takes up to a week to complete. Neighbors fighting weekly, no noise accordance in place or being dealt with. Trash everywhere not enough dumpsters for whole complex. A mess not worth your money, staff could be so much better

I absolutely love it here. Management always comes through no matter what, the property is always clean, and just a great experience overall. Thankyou!

I have only been living here a few months and wish someone had written reviews about the issues I'm having. The pool closes for several days at a time for maintenance but yet it has mold growing and when it is open it is nasty. It's technically the only real amenity that most use and it's pathetic. If the pool is closed you can't use the gas grill or the fire pit because the gate is locked. Beware of many people that do not live in the complex swimming in the pool because no one is there to enforce the rules. On the weekend of July 4th there was no propane on any of the grills and a local tenant went and purchased one that everyone used. Noise is an even bigger issue. The breezeways are nasty. They do have garbage pickup but there is trash and stains everywhere. The gym doesn't even have a water fountain. They have been purchased by another management group but there should be priorities. Our rent payment is def a priority to them.

The new management is horrible. They stopped taking personal checks and there is a almost $40 "convenience fee" to pay online. My bank isn't in this State so my options are pretty limited. They are money hungry and don't do anything for the community. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere. We will be moving immediately once our lease is over. Oh and good luck getting anyone in the phone if you have a question after you move in.

We have lived at The Commons at Fort Mill for over 3 years now and 95% of the time it has been great. Every complex is going to have something that someone doesn't like, but to blame all problems on management is ridiculous. Sometimes things are out of their control and YOU are not the only resident! Our experience has been great. It is a quiet community with very strong amenities for the price, you won't find a better deal in Fort Mill! We have had maintenance issues as anyone would and the maintenance team here is always ready to help, prompt, professional, and they know what they are doing. Also the staff lead by Andrea and her team are awesome. She is always available if there is an issue and can be reached by phone, email, or through the neighborhood text number.

Over the past several months, The Commons have made every effort to remain competitive in an ever competitive apartment market. They have totally redone the playground, added a bark park, and added a picnic area along with multiple picnic tables and charcoal grills around the complex. It has really made a difference in my opinion!

Also, they have valet trash that comes every night to your door to take your trash away! They also have a quality workout center and the clubhouse has been redesigned.

So in conclusion, if you are looking for a nice, quiet place to live in Fort Mill, give the Commons a try. Believe me, I am not one to stay around if it wasn't worth it. Also the prices are very fair, I think our rent went up like $30 this year. Not a bad trade-off for all the new features. I hope this honest and truthful review helps someone who is considering the Commons. Don't get caught up with the 2 line 1 star reviews of those that are disgruntled over one situation and react too harshly. Give the Commons a try!!

DO NOT RENT HERE IF YOUR LOOKING TO WAIT A LONG TIME BEFORE GETTING A RESPONSE BACK FOR YOUR APPLICATION. These people will take your money the application and admin fee and not tell you what your missing until like multiple days later. Plus the apartments are not all of that for the price. Everything is low including the kitchen counters. It s like everything is to the floor almost.

Cali was extremely helpful, and always willing to communicate. Went above and beyond what is asked of her. She is raise worthy! Keep her around, she s a pleasure to communicate with.

It is a good community and like any community is not perfect but the management is supportive when issues do come up. This is the first time in years I have done apt living and I was concerned but so far so good!!
