Went for dinner. Worst steak ever. Never go back again for the food.
Went for dinner. Worst steak ever. Never go back again for the food.
Lovely hotel. Food and room were excellent. Staff were very helpful.
The Chester Hotel restaurant is always a reliable choice for good meal. The food is perfectly cooked and presented. The interior design is attractive, making the venue feel very opulent. They provide a high standard of service too.
Great hotel, staff was excellent and made us feel very welcome. Easily the best place we stayed on our entire Scottish vacation. Heartily recommend.
Terrible service, dirty and mismatched tables and booth areas, inattentive service, poor standard for supposedly high end hotel and bar, would not recommend.
A gorgeous hotel with excellent facilities and very friendly staff
Terrific food from a great menu. This is one of Aberdeen gem restaurants. Really comfortable spacious room which has a Samsung Smart TV to watch Netflix.
A truly lovely hotel. Stylish and comfortable. really high standards of service and food.
The rioja wine was expensive, however the evening meal, breakfast and room were all good.
The hotel is clean, well designed and furniture look modern and in perfect condition.
The only thing is that the rooms are not spacious.
Wow, best atmosphere and food for a lovely dinner in Aberdeen. The staffs are the beat, very friendly and helpful. It's located on a porch street of Aberdeen. Something that tripped me was the order time, the food came quite fast and was well cooked. If you really want to impress someone, the Chester Hotel is the place. Though I haven't used the hotel before, but it really comes handy if you choose to spend a night after a wonderful dinner.
Very good food as always. But they removed things from their menu. Like mushy peas from their haddock item on their bar menu. Never had a fish dinner without peas before.
lovely rooms and restraunt but the hot water service was terrible,i assume because we were so far from the front of the property. Two outstanding sociable staff members but most looked stressed out that much that you couldnt relax especially in the restraunt. Meal portions are also tiny. i would not pay such high prices to stay there again.
Omg horrendous - i have stayed here a few times and on the booking form it spells out their is construction going on. However failed to mention that it starts at 8am the night after valentines. So badly organized. We all have to run businesses however you are supposed to be a boutique hotel with a service to the customer. I guess making sure you don t get delayed for 3 hours the night after many people have spent good money at your hotel doesn t matter to you. Goes to show you, you can have all the bells and whistles in the outside but when it comes to caring for the customer who cares as long as you see the pounds. Horrendous !!!! Never again
Nice hotel, well located close to city center and the personnel were extremely helpful and friendly.
Pricey but the staff were well trained in hospitality
Had a lovely bar meal last night. Good variety of meals available. My king prawn linguine was delicious . One friend had a burger another had Cullen skink risotto and the other had fish which was on the menu as battered anf when she More
Stayed at the hotel for a team conference. Rooms were excellent - all food was first-class and the conference facilities were perfect. Will happily return to stay as a private guest the next time I am in Aberdeen.
Very good disabilty service and access. Had Sunday lunch, exyeeextr good, and great bar service to. Well recommended.
Perfect! Delicious food with friendly and attentive but not overbearing service. Highly recommended
What a great stay. Used the private dining room for a special occasion. Food was excellent, staff were very attentive and the suites we stayed in were perfect.
If you are staying at the hotel when a function is on the music from the venue will be quite loud depending on where you are located.
Wonderfully chic bar,imacullate service,stunning cocktail s
Had fabulous afternoon with excellent staff and service
Food good, excellent staff. Was not rushed which was good as we were enjoying our celebration.
Very professional staff. Drinks were a bit expensive but other than that had a great night
Great place; good food; good service; pity that there aren't enough parking places.
Best hotel I have ever stayed in and I am a regular guest away on business trips around the world and also holidays of course.
brilliant staff and the food is Michelin star. Just cant wait to go back.
Well done Chester Hotel
Very nice, we opted for a suite and had plenty of room. Probably the best food we've ever had in Aberdeen.
Truly a 5 star hotel. Rooms a very modern and spotless. Service was outstanding. The food is also some of the best I have ever had. Starter, main, desert and cheese. All was exceptional.
I have also been here for a wedding and could not fault it. Drinks were a bit expensive but it's like that at most venues.
My favorite restaurant in Aberdeen. Elegant and discrete service, very fine food in a slickly decorated room. My fav!
Food is ok but head for the nearest takeaway on the way home as portions are on the small side
The welcome by reception staff was friendly and informative. The room was warm and the bed extremely comfortable. The waitress who served dinner was exceptional. Her English was impeccable for someone not a native speaker. The waiting staff at breakfast were also courteous and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable experience.
The hotel is in a great location in the west end, a 15 minute walk from the city centre. The hotel itself is very nice. The car park is quite tight and always full.
Great bar, restaurant and hotel. Rooms feature stylish decor, and are well equipped with latest tech. Staff very friendly and professional, did everything possible to make us comfortable.
Friendly professional staff, great cuisine and killer cocktails
Friendly, attentive staff. Excellent wining and dining, or just a quiet drink or coffee. Comfortable rooms.
The customer service is always excellent and the food is delicious. The hotel is beautiful inside and out.
Fabulous food staff very knowledgeable was shown one way system in place for covid we stayed over our allocated time but that was not a problem, the wagu burger was the best burger iv ever had and I'm on a gluten free diet which was not a problem at all
Excellent service, food, location, rooms. All top notch.
Excellent room, very spacious and a huge comfortable bed
Wonderful staff. Comfortable and cozy room. We will be back!
Great experience. Food was excellent as well as the service.
Stayed because we attending a wedding, the staff couldn't have been more attentive, the accomodation was lovely, food, and we had quite a lot of this, was perfect, everything spot on. We had small children in our party and rather than insist on us taking extra rooms they gave the families ajoining rooms and did not charge for the extra rooms. Would definately recommend this hotel.
Lovely meal but attention to detail is lacking and has always been noted when we have dined here. The white table cloths have gone, the table runners have gone.
Our pre dinner drinks glasses were not cleared from the table. Our wine was not topped up during the meal. Would be better to have a sommelier.
Our side of hand cooked chips appeared after we were finished our main course. The waitress apologised and we were not charged.
The peach souffle is no longer on the menu but some of the starters remain the same.
Staff very welcoming and friendly. Not Michelin standard but we will return. We did enjoy our meal.
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff.
The room was modern and the amenities were all of a very high standard. The food in the restaurant was amazing.
Strongly recommend using The Chester.
Very comfortable hotel, beautifully decorated bar and function suite, with excellent staff and lovely food.
Good restaurant. Good meat. The appetizers are well cooked. Including the risotto!
Very poor quality function catering last night at the Chester in Aberdeen. If this is supposed to be the best hotel in Aberdeen then it's time to move to a different city. The welcome drink was a cheap sickly pink pop and the meal was unimaginative. If you have a food allergy then just trust they will not bother catering for you. My gluten free intolerance was solved by the hotel by simply removing the items containing gluten and not adding anything extra. Consequently my meal was pretty scant! FURTHERMORE I FOUND 3 LARGE LUMPS OF PLASTIC IN MY TURKEY ROLL!
Brilliant Hotel close to City yet far from the biz. Perfect
Good location with parking onsite. Beautiful traditional building with contemporary styling . Bed extremely comfortable and quiet rooms. Had afternoon tea in the bar and it was delicious ( but quite expensive) . The staff were pleasant but failed to point out the lift which would have been helpful as my elderly parents struggled up the stairs with their cases.
I recently enjoyed a very positive stay at this lovely hotel, located a short distance from city centre. The room was excellent and the staff and the team in general were very helpful, efficient and courteous. I will be back.
The hotel is new and the rooms are nice and spacious. Unfortunately, the cleaning and hygienization of the bathroom are not consistent with the other characteristics of the hotel. I'm sorry but I won't be back.
Great hotel with a touch of luxury, chic rooms, first class bar with a top barman! Also the restaurant should be really good. As far as we are unfortunately not come because of the 1a-bar.
Well located - easy to reach downtown by bus.
A luxury hotel, with some flaws. The reception is very narrow and poorly designed. The breakfasts are installed in the adjoining building, you have to go outside, the restaurant is huge you have to jog to find what you are looking for. Attention, my visit was 3 years ago maybe all this has already been fixed.
Very nice hotel, very clean and somewhat chic, even though it's was undergoing refurbishment. Rooms very comfortable, bathrooms very clean and staff extremely friendly.
Breakfast concerning a 'cooked version' was somewhat limited, but continental offerings were fine.
Evening meals were of good quality and there was an excellent selection of wines and and liquors if that's your tipple. Beers were OK and sufficient for a non conosuer.
Would be very happy to stay there again.
Nice modern feel. Great service from all the staff from the front desk to the restaurant and bar.
It was the only hotel we stayed at in the 2 weeks as we prefer the interaction you get at B & B's.
Check in and out was efficient, the room was very nice.
Breakfast was next door and was very good. Seemed to be used by business people rather than vacationers.
While it was very nice we would not stay there because of the atmosphere.
I am sure it is perfect for a stay during a business trip.
Lovely staff, thank you Cassie for looking after us this afternoon. Lovely selection of goodies to eat, and a box to take away any surplus cake!.
Food is nice, service good but vastly overpriced for what you get.
Great lunch and service The dome was lovely and safe. Highly recommend
Really friendly staff. Clean rooms. Nice big bath. Comfy beds. Bijou rooms.
Very nice hotel which can be stayed in at a good rate occasionally but can be a little expensive on their normal rates. The food in the restaurant is expensive but very, very good quality: highly recommended for that special occasion if you can afford it.
Another fantastic stay. Rooms, food, staff all superb
We were just at the hotel for an informal meeting at the bar, but the staff were very attentive and helpful the whole time. A short time there, but it left a great impression.
Excellent venue. Attended a wedding, and the venue provided a really great facility and service
I visited for breakfast when my Mum was a guest. The waitress was pleasant and helpful. There's a wide range of food options available. I briefly saw her room and it seemed very tastefully decorated and included all of the necessary facilities. There's ample parking on site and also bus stops opposite for a quick hop to Union Street or beyond. I'd certainly recommend it.
Great experience given the difficult times, staff were very attentive.
