Sit and listen to the great live music while you eat your delicious famous pizza. Don t forget the special green sauce! I still think the original is better than the other competitors. Make sure to go in the store next door and get some pastries and cheeses.

It is one the best places to go for a pizza. Great Taste and fresh ingredients. There is only one pizza per day, and you cannot change any toppings because the pizza is pre - made. Good band in the store providing good music while you enjoy your meal. They also provide hot serrano chili sauce for the pizza. It's hot but give it a try!

Because the pizza is pre - made, it may be cold and the cheese and crust might become hard and chewy. I experienced that during my visit. Also, the pizza is a bit pricey for its size.

You will find a really long line but no worries it moves really fast since they only have one choice per day. When I went they had live music which was amazing. We just couldn't find seating

Unique and delicious pizza...every time. My out-of-town guests said that it was one of the best pizzas that they've ever tried. What's funny is that these guests are from Texas and are very serious about having meat with everything...but, they loved this pizza. They had such a great time eating pizza, listening to live jazz, and just the mere ambiance that they started looking up cost of living in the area. :)

I remember when Cheese Board was just a hole in the wall with no tables or seats. Then a little bigger with piano and then expanded even more with tables. There's only one pizza for the day and it's always delicious.

One of the best pizza restaurants on the West coast. Their crust is divine and they now have gluten free and Vegan pizza as well. My wife can't eat gluten or dairy so this has finally allowed her to eat pizza again.

They are unusual in that they only make one kind of pizza each day (announced on their web site if you want to check in advance what they are serving). But this allows them to pick the freshest ingredients of what's seasonally available. We've been going for decades and haven't been disappointed yet.

Their summer corn pizza with fresh corn is to die for.

Despite only serving one type of pizza, I've never had even close to a poor experience with the pizza let alone the service. Get ready to wait when you arrive but it is always worth it.

This place is not for picky eaters or east coast pizza "purists". Prog pizza to the ppl! Fresh ingredients, one flavor of pizza a day and excellent live music. Seating is really hard to come by since the banned sitting on the road island, but I don't mind taking it home and gorging myself in private.

AWESOME PLACE... It was just so good of an experience. The ambience is great, and the service was quite exceptional as they served to a large crowd in a relatively short amount of time. On top of all this, the pizza was very tasty and was pure vegetarian (something I was looking for) as well as GF and Vegan options available. Bottom line: Truly amazing and would look forward to my next visit.

Cheeseboard Pizza is one-of-a-kind. Frequently, the lines will be around the block and it is raved about. I decided to see what all the hype was about and visited this fine establishment myself. I was not disappointed. Each day, they concoct a new pizza, each with a distinct flavor profile. These pizzas are always delicious, and it is always fun to visit Cheeseboard Pizza.

The one-pizza-a-day strategy is a bit of a double-edge-sword. On the one hand, it allows them to churn out pizzas quickly, which makes the inevitable lines move quickly and keeps the prices reasonable. On the other hand, it's harder to be sure that the pizza suits your taste. I visited with two friends, and we got 1 and a half pizzas. I like that they keep the prices proportional to the amount of food (e.g. half a pizza is half the price of a whole pizza) so that you're not tricked into buying more food than you need. That said, four slices each was pushing the limits of my appetite, especially since they threw in a few extra small slices. I wasn't a huge fan of the pizza of the day, but I finished my share anyway.

A bit unconventional, but always great pizza. Serves one type of pizza per day. You can find the day's offering on the website. Expect a long line but it moves very quickly. Limited seating. Live music is present frequently

They only have one pizza on the menu every day, but it is a good one. The line looks daunting, stretching around the block, but it moves quite quickly. We got our pizzas after about 20-25 minutes. We ordered a bit too much. We got 3 pizzas for a family of four, but 2 would have been plenty.

At daylight savings time the trees have been dressed with tiny white lights, the music is good and the pizza is great. Go about 5, the lines are short and you can grab a table easily. Later the lines are long but hey! It's social time in the Gourmet Ghetto!

Delicious pizza and salad. 1 type of pizza and salad sold each day (every day is a different type of pizza and salad.) Amazing dressing for pizza called Papi Chulo a green garlic based sauce 5 stars!

The pizza here is mind blowing!
They offer only 1 variety of vegetarian pizza every day. They change the pizza variety also every day.

The pizza is thin crust and is paired very well with their pappi chulo salsa.

You can get a whole, half or a slice. They're nice enough to give you a few more slices for free If you order the whole pizza.

The crowd moves pretty quick. However there isnt a lot of space to sit and enjoy the pizza.

They have live music every day and that adds to the charm of this eatery. Definitely goes well with the Berkeley vibe.

Everyone I've taken here still reminisces of the pizza. One of the best you'll ever have in the states. Different from anything else, made with real quality cheeses; the have great music and local vibe in the afternoons.

Best pizza in the bay area. I think this place was recently rated as one of the top 100 places to eat in the US, regardless of price or food type, and they are 100% correct. They only serve one kind of pizza a day. It is always vegetarian. It is always delicious. When you go, make sure to try the green sauce. It is difficult to explain but awesom-sauce. Heads up: it is spicy so try a small bit first.

It's veggie pizzas but they never disappoint. If you've never been and want to go, don't be discouraged by the long line out the door. The line goes pretty quickly because they really churn out the pizzas, and they only make one type of pizza per day. And on that note - you can check on their website to see what toppings are on each day's pizza.

I've never had a cheeseboard pizza I haven't liked. It's a different combination of vegetarian ingredients and cheeses every day, with live music that changes too! A must-visit in Berkeley, a treasured part of Berkeley culture. Don't skip the delicious spicy green salsa that you can add.

A 'once a week' for locals, and 'must eat' for those visiting UC Berkeley. Cheese Board makes one type of pizza each day (vegetarian) and always gives you an extra sliver/slice with each order. The lines are long, but they move fast. This is seriously a staple for grad students, locals, and pizza lovers.

Summary based on many visits:

Summary based on many visits:
--usually very good pizza (and if you don't like the pizza variant that day, just come another day)
--fast service, credit cards accepted
--good food and drink prices
--queue moves pretty fast
--challenging parking

You can generally get a 1/2 baked pizza at the near by cheese shop without the wait. Caution: "1/2" marked on the box means 1/2 pizza, not half baked.

Fresh ingredients and a different pizza every day. Live music but not that much space to sit. Great for picking up dinner on the way home. Lines look long but often move fast. You can get fresh baked or half baked pizza plus salad and dessert.

As always, cheeseboard made a great pizza. It's part of the Berkeley experience and always have to visit when I'm back in town. It's different from the East coast, but very good in its own way.

The pizza here is delish. All of them are vegetarian though with option of being vegan/gluten free I believe. Their green sauce is addicting. The place gets pretty packed and there's some long lines, but it moves rather quickly.

Love asking people if they wanna try a new pizza place & not telling them that they only serve 1 vegetarian pizza per day. Most people are annoyed but it gets them to try something new & have never had a person not like it. We always enjoy the live music, all glass bottle beverage choices & that they have all gender restroom signs.

Absolutely fabulous! One kind of vegetarian pizza made each day, and one special salad, and you can count on it to be delicious no matter what. They do a different combination each day and two live bands play, one during lunch and one during dinner. A small, tasteful selection of local beverages, beer, and wine are offered. There are a few tables inside by the band, but all sound spills out of the large ever-open windows that line the front of the building and onto the sprawling outdoor seating areas. Don't go if you're in a hurry though; on a busy night the line will wrap around the corner, but it does move reasonably quickly.
Lastly, a little about their newest menu addition: buffalo milk frozen yogurt. Your options are chocolate, vanilla, or swirl- follow your heart and you will be happy. Overall lovely place, I go often.

Love this place! I'm usually a fan of meat on pizza but this place never fails to wow me with their creations. One flavor a day, no meat, long line but moves fast, bonus extra slices always, live music on weekends, fun drink selection, side line for desserts, best ginger cookie ever!

Delicious vegetarian pizza, but can be a bit oily depending on the toppings. $22 for a whole pie (without tax) and they even throw in an extra two slices. One type of pizza per day. Can get crowded, and need to wait in line to order or find seating. Parking is street.
