The Chedi Muscat Review

Very nice hotel. Great grounds and fabulous pool. I also liked the central location to Muscat.

Quiet and clean the entire premise, though very plain decor, white and black coloured. The food is good at the breakfast as well as the dinner at The Beach Restaurant. We stayed at the Serai Room (the cheapest room in the premise) and is relatively small with standing shower room reasonable size and separate toilet next to entrance. Bed is comfortable and room rate is including breakfast as well as daily replenished complimentary in-room minibar (all non-alcoholic drinks+beer). All 3 swimming pools are good size especially if one wishes to have a good swim laps, there is a 100m Long Pool next to the gym and spa.

Restaurant receptionists seems to lack proffessionalism and when informed them about it they seem to be unapologetic about the same .

Lovely resort, fabulous service, amazing facilities, & great food. All in one.

What makes The Chedi special in Muscat is it s wide spread land, you won t see a high building covered by glass, you ll feel more like home. It s such a unique experience and the service was great. However, I wouldn t spend another night here, I ll probably just drop by for breakfast or an afternoon tea.

Wonderful time. Our server at the pool Brian was incredible. I believe he was a trainee but his customer service was superb.

It is a beautiful location with scenic views and lovely afternoon tea. While the value has recently improved with reduced prices, it is still a costly experience. The service is nice.

CHEDI SPA: Dear Reader, If you can comb through these reviews and reach mine, I would say to you, treat yourself to this spa. It was pricey but incredible and worth the money. Xinh is one of the best professionals they have so I would recommend requesting her if you can. I fell asleep with my mouth wide open and felt like a new human. My only critique is that the bath ritual treatments could be more... ritual like. Is just a bath with loud jets. And it seems unfair to not allow spa guests access to the pool below... Other than that, superb and quality oils and essences. Thanks for having me.

We just passed by for a drink at the pool bar and to have a look inside of course! The location and the area is just mindblowing but this is what I would expect for such a room rate! The price of drink was fair and the served small snack for free! The staff was very friendly!

A beautiful and stylish haven overlooking the hazy Gulf of Oman.
The staff are exceptionally polite and efficient, the rooms are swish but simple, and the overall sense is one of perfection. Aim for a sea view room if you can. You might want to eat out in the evenings because the restaurants are unduly expensive for the food they serve.

I had my a magical outdoor mini wedding at Chedi privet beach! Everything was beyond expectations!! The barbecue buffet was super yummy n the staff were helpful n friendly. All of my guests enjoyed the dinner. Ghalia and Mr. Deepak were so awesome n supported us through the whole wedding planning process! The suit we had was romantic n the breakfast was just yum! I enjoyed every moment at Chedi n I absolutely recommend the place earthier to wed there or to just have a romantic getaway!!

A pristine hotel that is very well designed and maintained. It is somewhat big, and takes a bit of navigating, between the various pools and multiple restaurant choices, but quality of facilities, service and food is very high. An excellent place to stay. (yes, you can hear the planes overhead, but they're not that intruding; the beach isn't a pristine white sand beach by any stretch, but it's still good enough to relax and enjoy).

I can't fault them. A must stay on you next visited to Muscat, Oman UAE.

Beautiful property....amazing staff & great service!! This sums up our recent stay at Chedi. Just a small issue with our room lock system but they eventually took care of it....& yes a special mention for the fab food & breakfast we had there! They even provided a cake for our anniversary celebrations! great experience overall :)

It is a little while since I last stayed at The Chedi, but I am very much looking forward to celebrating my wife's birthday there on Monday. The Chedi is a special place that looks amazing with amazing food and service that just makes you feel the same way!

Very good brunch.They have a wide range of food ,service amazing .The hotel looks very familiar and friendly.Beach views and weather pretty comfortable.

The Chedi is Great. The Rooms are a bit old but still very comfortable.
The Landscape is amazing! The Staff is very Friendly. The Breakfast was also reaIly good.

I think 4 of 5 Stars are fine.

There are only two problems the Hotel is a bit old and the Food for the Lunch or Dinner is to expensiv for the quality. If you grow up with european Standart the Food just earn 2 of 5 Stars.

We will try other Chedis around the World.

Where can i start? After visiting this place last year I managed to return back, four times yes four times.

The free breakfast is up to standard. You have a number of pools to choose from. Employees make you feel like you're in heaven. Multiple lounges to chill in. I always get a room upgrade too! Very hard to beat in muscat

Upon our arrival we were given a room that smelled cigrarettes. It took ages to change the room and a lot if negocations. Then we we went for lunch and my wife had food poisening. We were offerd the lunch but they charged the Wine ( very classy). The bfast buffet is nothing special and with the beautiful set up that they have they could do somthing nice.

We met the new head of catering, a very nice person. Told him the issues... How ever I went back a few days ago for lunch and it was still the same menu..

Having been to almost all of the nice hotels in Oman, I have to believe the Chedi is the best. Amazing facilities right on the ocean with a truly elegant feel. Even more beautiful in the evening with everything lit up. Restaurants and service is top notch. It's pricey, but the best if that's what you're looking for.

Nice view of the Gulf of Oman, nice situated property, friendly staff, nice food and restaurants (even in the middle of Ramadan)... Very comfortable place to spend your vacation. Those who wants to visit a fully developed vacation place, Oman is not the place. This is a country of perfect balance of modern times and respectable Arabic tradition.

Great design, very bad choice for families: only 1 of 3 pools is open for kids < 16 years, only 1 restaurant of 5 is open for kids, not even the Italian restaurant. Should be named adults hotel only.

Went for dinner in the outdoor area, lovely atmosphere, food and drinks. Shout out to Adil our Omani waiter who provided nothing less than perfect service throughout the night.

One of Muscat's leading 5-star hotels with a private beach and many garden residences. It is a quiet and peaceful place which also has a few great options for dining. The famous "long pool" cabanas is a beautiful place to be in during the cooler months with a very laid back ambience and good food.

The Chedi Muscat is the best hotel i have ever been, considering the style, the service and the quality in general. The style is a mix between the local culture and asian elements with a magnificent result.
The staff also was extremely friendly, as most of the people living in Muscat.

Astonished by the view and services this hotel provides. Full moon dinner was unforgettable experience. However the prices are exaggerated at some point.

Great quiet place to get some rest. The beach is not that good but they have 3 pools for your choice. Food is delicious and service is really good.

My favourite hotel in the world after travelling 57 countries. Generous, friendly and helpful, this hotel makes a great intro to Oman for anyone new to this country. The grounds are beautiful and everything is spotless and polished to dazzling shiny-ness and are absolutely faultless. I had a great time here, and I would everyone to stay at this hotel at least once in their lifetime.
