The Chapel in the Pines Reviews

My daughter was married here on May 18th, 2019. As far as I know from every individual involved with the wedding, all the way down to the florists and caterers, we were treated with the utmost respect and consideration from the actual planning stages, all way up until the day of the actual celebration and union of the bride and groom. This place is not only a Hidden Gem because of the location and privacy of the venue, but for the backstory between the preacher and his wife, the actual Chapel being built on site and The Amazing Love Story that created the entire dream and idea becoming what it is today from what it was 20 years ago. Like The Wizard of Oz, there is a brick road that incorporates a standard size brick with the engravement of bride and grooms names, wedding date and time for every couple that has ever exchanged their vows and promise before God, their families and the preacher with his wife since the Inception of the Chapel in the Pines and what it does become today. Collectively those bricks create a path from the chapel all the way to the gazebo as well as a few sitting areas along the way. We could not be happier with the turnout of the actual ceremony itself with the exception of the rain we received the morning of the date picked for our service. Everything else was amazing and we are exceptionally grateful for the opportunity to use this facility and to be part of its story from the 18th of May 2019, until it stands no longer as a house of God.

Had our wedding here. Beautiful venue, very affordable. The staff was extremely helpful and was always willing to help us.

This place is the best. I have been photographing this location for over 7 years. Each year there is a new and unique garden, small changes to the scenery, and new photography locations being installed. I cannot recommend any location more than this one for your wedding.

Our Wedding day made us feel very special, even though it was just a simple ceremony with just the two of us . All thanks Jeffery, our minister, the whole experience left us with a wonderful memory that will last us a lifetime.

Jason and Jordan's October 4th wedding and reception was exceptional! The entire venue...the Wedding Chapel, the Ceremony, the Gazebo, the Bridal Cottage, and the Reception Hall.... at The Chapel in the Pines is beautiful. Jason and Jordan's "brick" will forever be a reminder of the day they married. Thanks to Howard and Donna, the very happy couple had perfect wedding day!

I could not recommend this place more. Not on only was my wedding was absolutely perfect, the staff at chapel in the pines couldn t be more helpful and nice. You d never expect a winter weather advisory on April 27th but they made sure the weather had no effect on the quality of the wedding and reception. Everything went so smooth and my husband and I couldn t be happier with the place we chose to get married at!

For people who have a small intimate wedding the chapel is nice. For larger groups the outdoor ceremony was nice. The reception hall was nice. The food was excellent. Staff was also good

The Peterson's we're so gracious to allow us to use their beautiful facility for family pictures. If only mother nature would have been as nice. Thank you

I JUST GOT MARRIED THERE RECENTLY AND IT WAS EVERYTHING I HAD HOPED FOR, I LOVE THE WEDDING BELL RINGING! JEFFREY OUR MINISTER, DID SUCH A GREAT JOB WITH THE CEREMONY AS I WAS NERVOUS AND HE MADE MANY SUGGESTIONS TO HELP KEEP ME ON TRACK. HIS WIFE WAS SO SWEET AND MADE ME FEEL LIKE THE WHOLE DAY WAS JUST ABOUT ME! I WASN'T EXPECTING THAT. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS QUITE A DRIVE TO GET THERE, I CAN'T IMAGINE HAVING IT ANYWHERE ELSE. THE PLACE ITSELF IS BEAUTIFUL AND NOT MUCH DECORATING NEEDED AT ALL. A GREAT "ALL IN ONE" VENUE WITH A REASONABLE PRICE.

Beautiful grounds with a country church and outdoor gazebo with a variety of trees, & seasonal flowers. We enjoyed sitting out fire-pit by the reception hall after dancing. The lighting outside and inside made for intimate romantic evening in the country. The staff was very friendly.

Got married there and their staff are very helpful and professional. The Reverend they use is amazing and will tailor the ceremony to your wants. The lady even pinned the flowers ob everyone.

Howard, Jeffrey, Donna, and Laurie (the wedding coordinator, if I'm remembering her name correctly) were all so warm and supportive. I definitely was a little nervous the day of, and they all were so lovely. Howard officiated and did a great job. The grounds were impeccable and made for amazing photos. They help your day go smoothly and easily. So glad I chose Chapel in the Pines.

Omg! What a quaint place for a Wedding. It was so charming. I loved it! We were there for our Nephews Wedding. The Chapel was small but doesn't take anything away from it. The grounds were beautiful. Check it out!

I attended a wedding ceremony in the chapel. The place feels like it's in the middle on nowhere. It's small but very cozy. They have a Chapel, gazebo, and a reception hall. The chapel is small and the reception had a nice rustic feel and with the dimmed lights it felt formal. I was only attending the ceremony in the chapel. But I had gone into the reception while they were setting up for another wedding

Beautiful venue, staff was awesome, friendly and accommodating. If you plan on getting married it is wonderful spot to pick with some beautiful gardens for pictures as well. They even add your name and wedding date to the walk way.

This place is gorgeous! Excellent venue for a wedding. So many wonderful spots for pictures. Indoor or outdoor wedding options. The people are so friendly who run the place. It made for a wonderful experience.

Absoulty the best wedding chapel, reception room. The grounds are gorgeous the owners great. They even have bride's room. Prices are a third of most Chicago suburbs prices. You get more of everything for less money. You need to check this place out.

Nice place. Open bar "situation" was kind of confusing!!! Open bar. Should be open bar!!! Not open bar on no name liquor!!! Other than that. The place was beautiful. The food was delicious!!! Wait staff is in to much of a "hurry" to clear the tables!!! They took food,drink ,and dessert. People where still eating! And silver wear. Slow down!!! Let people finish!!!
